Digriz: I prefer this two to Ozil who's just another Mata, no need for him,as for sanchez he's got a bad attitude. He is 29, we play him as long as he is serious, when he misbehaves, we boot him out, he will come as free next summer, so no loss on him, likewise Ozil. We really need Mahrez BTW he should be our main target. |

He's better than Lennon nah! Besides he's gonna be an upgrade on whosoever is playing the Wing at the moment, perhaps till we get a better Fix in the Summer. this is the difference between we and city, they buy supremely talented players, we buy average players, if he can't nail down a starting berth since he went to PSG he has no business being in our team. why will we buy a second rate PSG player and want to win them in champions league? check the reason Madrid and Barcelona are beating everybody over the years, they want the best, they go for Hazard, DDG, Mbappe, Neymar, Harry Kane, Coutinho etc these are best players in their team, these are the kind of signings we should be making, not some average Joes that will come here and be playing rubbish and them we blame the manager. we already have a lot of useless players in our hands, we dont need more point-dropping players. why not go for Ozil? Mahrez nko? Sanchez nko? Verrati, we can even test Spurs for Harry Kane. let's stop leaving all these top stars for City, PSG, Barca and Madrid, then turn back to demand we challenge them. yesterday although we won but the goals came due to the sheer brilliance of Pogba, Martial and Lingard. we need supremely talented players we have the money. |

Can't we celebrate the Victory in Peace?! We had a good Game, very tantalizing Game, yet we couldn't celebrate it in a fantastic Manner!
Luke Shaw has nailed down the LB, except JM is a Fool. Cos I'm ain't seeing any Reason for anyone to play ahead of him as a LB for the Team at the moment.
Herrera also was fantastic in the Match. Defensively and offensively he was fantastic. Though he kept it too simple with quick Passes, but his presence in the Game was massively felt.
Martial, Lingard, Mata, Pogba were quite amazing! They really gave me Joy, especially Lingard with his pacy Movements. Jones and Rojo were very solid at the Back, Matic did well too.
I hope a better RB can replace Lindelof in the next Match. I wouldn't mind Tuanzebe or Darmian. The Lad is kinda too weak as a RB. He seems too clueless, didn't make any Cross, or make any positive attacking Move through out the Match Duration.

olabode89: From this performance we can clearly see that Pogba is not a holding midfielder and has no business playing as part of a 2 holding midfielder in the 4-2-3-1 system.
Jose needs to come up with a system where Pogba can impose himself with his attacking capabilities. Also he is not a number 10. That is the 90 million puzzle that Jose has to solve. The problem is Herrera did not take up the central midfield role well, Jose has to pull pogba back and place Lingard in the attacking midfielder position. we need somebody of big big quality to replace Herrera. we are just lucky that Matic has been fantastic this season. |

nitrogen: But we don't have the players Na.
Until Mourinho starts deploying nice tactics before you see the qualities in the players. as fantastic as Mata might be, we need an upgrade on him. our central midfield is dead. we thought Matic coming in will free Pogba to do damage, but Herrera regressed, even today he was pedestrian, we need a defensive leader. we also need a right winger in the mode of mahrez/Perisic. we also need a full back to support/ replace Valencia. so we need a lot of quality in the team, any injury to pogba or Matic, we are dead. |

sinizia: Yes, Ukaku has poor finishing/technical ability, that's why if we've someone that can score and ghost in behind defenders like Martial did against Tottenham, we wouldn't be much worried with Ukaku's poor finishing coz he'd more like a player to give defenders a torrid time while the SS scores. honestly we won today, but we missed his presence up front. whenever he plays , the opponents defense seems to be always troubled and open. |

Why did we fall apart as a Team when he got injured and was suspended? What are the improvements we all agreed he has made from last season? na him dabbing and hair cuts?
You just want to criticize and your criticism holds no water ,because if it did, Pogba won't be one of the highest passers in the league this season despite missing so many games

sinizia: It's why I suggested Mourinho try out another formation like 352, or a 343 with the wing-forwards instructed to cut in most times, in order to provide Ukaku with another partner to help reduce the scoring burden on him. A partner that can ghost in behind the defenders while Ukaku drags them wide. But I must admit today's goals required excellent finishing, Lukaku can't finish those chances. but he is good inside the box and knock down. |

elampiro: Good article here.
But football change. There are a times a team with small players dominate, some other time it just shift. If it were possible to bring back Mourinho's Chelsea team of 2005/2006, they would still dominate today and give no single room for opposition to threaten. There are big players with quality. Lukaku doesn’t have Drogba's match winning quality. Lukaku is not even as strong and balance as Drogba.
Michael Essien at his peak would qualify for an Olympic sprinter, unlike Matic who plays in the speed of a snail. Essien was very agile too and could go into a quick sliding tackle. He could also play a center defence like it was its natural position. Remember when Ghana beat Nigeria with their centre defender sent off, and Essien had to fill in and became MOTM. Lampard had goal scoring sense from outside the box, unlike Mata, Lingard and Mkhitaryan. He won some matches with late goals from long range shots. Ballack was a tough guy. Terry was one of the best the world. Same with Cole.
The weakly in the that team were Joe Cole who if around today may be like Lingard.
I think sometimes, a coach just assembles a winning team able to play his style. That was what happened when Senegal were solid in 2002, very tall, strong and quick players. In 1992-1993, Ivory Coast had these small players with quick movement, but our Super Eagles with giant players find a way to dominate them by surrendering the midfield to the Ivorians while using speed, long passes to finish them. That Bruno Metsu Senegal team of 2002 and the 1994 Super Eagles were the best Africa has put out in the world cup. Tony Sylva, Omar Daf, Ferdinand Coly, Aliou Cisse, Lamine Diatta, Bouba Diop, Henri Camera, Elhadji Diouf, Salif Diao and Khalilou Fadiga. bad team |

Even the much fabled fergie team where very good. The backline of Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra and G.Neville is far far better any one in the league today. Then there is a midfield of Carrick, J.S Park ,Giggs and Scholes with Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez in Attack. If fergie had average players he will still struggle as he did sometimes that fans where even calling for his sack. |
