Nobody is demanding Sanchez based on the outcome of the preseason. Sanchez will improve any team drastically, since mourinho said he needs 2 more signing, Sanchez should be one of them. If Sanchez and Lukaku give us 25 goals each then we are just 4 goals off last season total. Mata gets his 10 goals plus from others then we are heading in the right direction. We need at least 80-85 goals to win the league. We got 54 last season less than relegation-threatened Bournemouth, it's a poor return. With this team I don't see us cracking 70 league goals even if Lukaku score 30.

It is understandable that people want the new expensive guy Lukaku to do well but our focus should be on the well being of the ENTIRE team rather than 1 player.
Since it is acknowledged that Lukaku knows how to score goals i am not really worried about him for now cos i believe the goals will start to flow at some point.
I would have been more worried if Mikki, Fellaini, Martial and Rashford kept on last season's pattern of missing clear cut chances.

Like you pointed out we net another player who can give us 15-20 goals to go with the 20+ Lukaku is gonna bring, I am very sure Mata had 10+ so I am not worried about him ,my worry is Rashford,martial, Lingard, and Mkhitaryan they should be hitting double figures. I don't like Rashfords tally last season same for Martial. Pogba should also give us double figures if we relieve him of defensive duties. Our defenders should also come up with at least 5-10goals between them, Vidic can Even give you that alone. Our problem is not our target man its supporting cast that should step up.

While all that is true, Martial played as a striker alongside Lukaku. There wasn't much wing play in today's match. There are instances where he could have passed to Lukaku, but he chose to shoot. Missitaryan also missed some chances b4 he scored. Heck, Lindelof missed a wide open net and ballooned the ball into the stands... I guess that was why Mourinho told the female ESPN reporter that Lukaku played better than the people that scored even though he did not score.
He terrorized their defense but he was selfish. I think pairing Lukaku and Rashford will be way more productive than Martial. Rashidi was in god mode today.

Rashford was superb, but that first team had the chemistry the second team didn't. Lingard, Herrera,Mata and Carrick were behind him, they have played together, the other team has Pereira and tuanzebe in behind Martial and Lukaku is new. So everyone tried.
