Yes that was because United underperformed seriously last season. This season they have filled the little deficiencies and their young players are maturing into roles.

Today all but 1 of United starters were under 30 and 4(Bailey, Jones, Rashford, Lukaku) were 25yrs or younger sef
I don't think blind and Pogba are above 25.

I'm sure you would have said no players can match barkley, gueye and mirallas, had everton won the league and some of the players moved to bigger clubs.
Schmeichel and Mahrez are still Leicester players, kante won the league again. They reached CL quarter finals. They cant be a bad team. Everton don't have such players

I actually thought you would give me something like adjustments for Inflation or something like that...instead you're giving me Raumdeuter's logic which in your opinion is fair, as if Raumdeuter is some universally acclaimed economist.

Whats the difference between the most costly and the second most costly player in drogbas time?

Compare that to the difference between Neymar and Pogba and ask if a 100m pound gap between the two has ever been replicated in football history...

The answer you will find is that Neymar's transfer is an outlier, that most likely will never happen again. So that's your formula already blown out the water.

It's your opinion, and with absolutely no disrespect to you, It's been disregarded.
OK , but you have seen my formula

Did leceister win the trophy with messi and ronaldo in their team?

Isn't the success of the team what shot them to limelight?

Won't you pick out some outstanding players like them, had won the league?

What about kane at totteham? Totteham do not have outstanding players or team?
Nobody in Everton is a match for schmeichel, Kante or Mahrez. Like I said you are right about Kane.

What is your formula? That's what I want to know.

If you dont actually have a formula, preface your post with the phrase "in my opinion" to reflect that your post is not a fact, but rather an expression of your personal opinions....

.... so that I can promptly disregard it.
2004:

World costliest player = 46.5m
Drogba fee=. 24m

24/46.5 x 100 = 51.62%

Drogba costs 51.62% of the costliest player.

2017:

World costliest player= 200m
Morata fee= 70m

70/200 x 100 = 35%

Morata costs 35% of world costliest player.

In 2004 Morata would have cost. 46.5 x 0.35 = 16.28m (which is not up to what Arsenal got Antonio Reyes from Sevilla for)

In 2017 drogba would have cost. 200 x 0.5162 = 103.2m

So it's not "in my opinion" this is my formula sir. I used raumdeuter s logic which to me is fair.

Morata must not score up to 20goals to justify his price tag

Less goals, one huge trophy.
Vardy didn't do it alone, there are certain schmeichel, Mahrez(who won the player of the year), Kante (who won the league again and the player of the year) in that team, Everton don't have anyone near the quality of those 3 in their squad when Lukaku was their, you may have a case for Kane though.

2004 Drogba 25M Zidane 46.5M Drogba was 0.5 costliest player
2017 Morata 70M Neymar 200M Morata is 0.35 costliest player

In todays terms Drogba would be qouted at 100M

How do you expect Lukaku to propel Everton to the league, Kane and Lukaku in those Madrid and Juventus squads will score more than Morata and still win those trophies he won as a bench warmer.

Let Morata join Tottenham and Everton let's see how many goals he will score, or where his 8 goals will take them to.

Drogba was bought for 24M in 2004. As at 2004 the costliest footballer was 65M

Morata was bought for 70M in 2017 As at 2017 the costliest footballer was 222M

In comparison to the world record, Morata was a cheaper buy than Drogba
In 2004 the costliest player was even Zidane at £46.5. in comparison to today's market, drogba costs about 128m pounds.

If my initial post wasn't clear enough for you why didn't you just ask me to clarify my position instead of you attacking my post.

So you don't want to bet on pens because it is unpredictable? But you can quote Mendelian law of assortment and tell me the ratio is 75 - 25 accurate, right? Why not use the Mendelian law to resolve it and make it more predictable since you are a scholar in sciences and I am not?

I don't know what you consider to be true. From what I can tell, all you wanted to do is show off, argue and not have a discourse. It was way too obvious in all Ur cheap/ subtle/weak undertones.

Oga there is a reason why football is basically not science or simple mathematics that you can pick a pen to solve however when you reduce it to such, it shows you are not just being arrogant with what you consider to be true but deluded.

People who place their money on penalties will under what I am saying more, not a show off like you trying to reduce or rationalize why you can't tell if a player will miss or score a pen by using Mendelian law of assortment to prove shit.

For your information unlike the blood genotype thingy which science have made a lot of advancement in, no amount of science can predict the exact outcome of a pen to be taken by a player or which player will score a pen and those that will not except it has been prearranged.

If there is an amount of exaggeration in me saying each pen taken is 50 - 50, Yes! But you coming here to shout 75 - 25 like you can accurately tell when/if a pen will be missed or scored, by what ratio it will happen in a game etc is the biggest joke of the day.

I made an offer earlier as regard pens before they are taken, if you are sure of your Mendelian law when next we are going to have a pen in a game, you will be dropping cash to support Ur theory. I am sure you won't mind betting with your life savings if your are sure of turning it into several thousands or millions, will you?
I think we should drop this argument, you are drifting out of scope. Even 99:1 probability can go the way of 1/100 at a given time, so I don't know what you mean by I should go and bet on penalties which is very unpredictable. The fact is that it's easier for a player to score from the spot than to miss. No player is praised for scoring a penalty but goal keeper can win motm by saving a single spot kick. You know I am telling you the truth.

The guy was trying to say that if Morata stands over a ball placed on a penalty spot, and his aim is to score, that the chance that he(Morata or any other player ) will score or miss is 50-50. Which is not true.

You know it wasn't necessary for you to quote me right? If you have a different opinion why not state it?

Saying you have heard it all is suppose to make you sound or look more knowledgeable but you and I know you are not in anyway.
There is no opinion here to give Mr. Saying that scoring a penalty is a 50-50 chance is like saying Addiss Ababa is the capital of Nigeria. It's easier to score from the penalty spot than any means. You know you are just deluding yourself. Even if all all 5 Chelsea players missed their penalties on Sunday it still doesn't Negate the fact that the probability to miss a penalty is about 1/10.

When you place 10 balls in a bag. 9 balls are white, 1 of the balls is red, if you randomly pick 1 ball from the bag. The probability that you will pick a red ball is 9/10 that of white is 1/10. what it means is that there is a very high chance that a ball picked at random from the bag will be red, with a slim chance of the picked ball being white. But that doesn't mean that it's not possible for you to pick a white ball, or even still pick a white ball again if you repeat the exercise or even for a third time.

When a couple with blood genotype AS and AS marry, this is the possible outcome of the genotype of their next offspring, according to Mendelian law of independent assortment: AS, AS,AA, and SS. The chance to produce a carrier(As) is 50% while those of sicklers and normal genotype is 25% apiece. So giving birrh to a sickler is less likely than producing a carrier and normal offspring, which is 75:25. But haven't you seen where a couple with such genotype in my example produced 3 sickling offsprings of of 4 children? And even in a classical case the 4th may even be an AA which also has a 25% chance to occur, while that which has the highest chance from the trio of outcomes AS may not even happen even if you try procreating 10 times.

I saw where you gave examples with Chelsea players scoring just one of their penalties or Portugal missing all their kicks against Chile. But you forgot that Arsenal and Chile in you scenario had a 100% success rates. Statistics has shown that penalties has far been scored more often than missed. So saying that scoring a penalty is a 50-50 chance is a ridiculous claim, except if you just want to exergerate

We have Cheski, Liverpool, Manxity, Tottenham to play in the league. These are the top teams in the league. Are you saying we should use the same fearful tactics against them?

I see everything as a reflection of Mou's mentality. Once hes afraid of a team he'll go defensive and cripple his attack. If not, he'll come out gun-blazing.

Shame, he was afraid of Arsenal towards the end of last season.

Seems he doesn't know what he's got. Imagine Ferguson or any other sensible manager was the coach yesternight. How would he set up the team?
Ferguson has lost to Madrid teams more times than any top manager, and teams he lost to are not particularly better than this Madrid team, and he(Ferguson) had better players. Let's stop this negative talks. We won't play Madrid every week. Mourinho's inter Milan met Barcelona early in the group stage of the 2010 UCL and were outclassed by the then champions. Fast forward 7 months later in the semis, inter eliminated the same Barca. We have seen our weaknesses and will work on them. -Juventus, Bayern and Athletico were beaten with a heavier scoreline few weeks ago, and you expect a team featuring 3 players that were not our players few days ago to go toe to toe with a team that has won the champions league 3 times in fours year? And are currently Spanish champions? No matter anything you said the boys did well, if Rashford had tucked away his Chance( and nobody is talking about it, we only dwell on criticizing players we have an agenda on) it would been extra time. When you are a manager you can't do much when your opposition has superior players than you. People saying mourinho played defensive yesterday are just jokers, how come the team were able to create begging chances. Sometimes we don't analyse football we just follow bandwagon to criticize

Every other team in the EPL will receive a good beating from Madrid, so let's reserve our negative comments.

Sometimes some man u fans de surprise me for here.thrre are many positives and lessons to learn from this match, the boy gave a good account of themselves. Special mentions to Matic, Felliani, Valencia, Lukaku, Smalling and DDG.

1. Rashford miss summed up our last season's woes, missing chances like that will definitely cost us points TBH. Rashford need to improve in his finishing.

2. Lindelof is not ready for the big time yet, Even Smalling was far superior than him. Bailly will come back to steady the defence. So no cause for concern.

3. Valencia is a World class player. He totally subdued Marcelo who was playing for the better side...

4. matic. Is an excellent signing, Felliani is a very important player.

5. Lukaku is the goal getter we need, even with lack of service he was able to get some shots. He will surely hit 20+ this season.
.6. Pogba needs to stop showboating he is a very top player, Herrera did not influence the game much.
7 Lingard is an average player, De Gea is a world class goal keeper.

8. Real Madrid is a world class team.

9. United team is a work in progress. When they gel they will challenge for things

5 goals that win major title is better than 30 goals that put you in 6th position.

Scoring in crucial game to gain crucial points is the most important thing, not scoring hatrick after the opponent is already 3-0 down.

One of the reasons I supported costa/conte's reconciliation.

This is why drogba will continue to be legend even without banging 20 goals every year.

Costa's 20 goals won us the league with 15 crucial points from some of the goals alone while Lukaka's 24goals brought home nothing.

Morata goals at madrid won trophies.
Less down 100minutes of play is not enough to whack him with "flop" hammer.
Lingard scored the winning goals in 3 successive Wembley finals. So scoring what you term "important" goals will not be important if not for those 3 -0 ,4-0 victories that followed. Aguero scored the " important" goal in 2012 that won city the title on goal difference, if other strikers haven't been scoring extra goals to up their goal difference in other matches, Agueros goals would have been meaningless
