That's the power of consistency and progression. |
This country sha! We just watch and kill potentials! How many lofty dreams like this are we going to kill? |
This is our "Ikeja Amphibian" ooo. What is it doing in Ore? |
Jeezuzpick:Friend or Fiend? English pls! |
tbanj07:Amen. We need thorough systems overhaul in this country. And when that is done, our attitude must be very welcoming and accommodating, otherwise we will go back to square 1. Everywhere in the world where good services are delivered people embraced it by paying for it. |
2kass:But why will Bubu unjustly want to jail him? This is what I'm saying. The man does not have regards for peoples right. So he had Dasuki in mind for 20years? That man na goat. He's the greatest mistake Nigerians ever made. You bubu fans should get a separate platforms to discuss abeg. I suggest u try Koboland! Gerrarahere! Oshokomole all the way 2019! |
hatchy:Go Fayose. Oshokomole all the way 2019! Nigerians love you. |
tbanj07:My take? I've said it already...even the N1200 It is like war getting people to pay for 10hrs of electricity everyday. Thats why we are owing 5months of electricity. So you can see that they will certainly not pay for premium services. This is the same reason why not so many people pay for DSTV premium bouquet. My point is anywhere in the world, anything premium is not cheap. I will suggest you get a prepaid meter. If you think your bill are exorbitant. This is something my co-tenants don't want. With prepaid meter, they know they will obviously pay more. And I mean much. But paying N1200 is already much!. Premium services are never cheap. It cost the servicing companies a lot to deliver it too. |
nairalandbuzz:So is everyone, but not everyone is willing or capable of paying for good and excellent services. |
tbanj07:PHCN cannot offer 24hrs uninterrupted power in the country for now. And if they will...A bill of 50k a month for each apartment may even be ridiculously cheap. I don't know where you live, but 8k a month for each apartment for 6hours of electricity sounds fair to me comparatively. Thats about N45 per hour. Here we get a bill averaging N3500 per month for all the 4 flats and we get electricity for about 10hours a day. My brother believe it or not, despite each apartment having to pay just N1200 per month plus us getting 10hours, we are f****g owing PHCN 5months subscription as I speak. It goes back to what I was saying. We have totally killed the "value for premiums" by our reluctance to pay supposedly fair price and thus companies will rather give those services to those that can afford it. Unfortunately, we are all mixed up. And its somewhat difficult to sieve. This is a similar problem Finance minister is trying to explain here. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/234327-214-people-nigeria-pay-taxes-n20-million-adeosun.html/amp Most Nigerians generally don't like to pay for services. Myself included. We want virtually everything free! |
Ibrochaka:Yes. Saying it is not enough. How you say it is what matters most. |
Zane2point4:What premium or value do you then get? 1. Hell of noice at viewing centre 2. The next person beside you will fart and you cannot talk. 3. Live electric wire dropping on viewing centre roof as was the case of ManU fans. 4. Chaos and sometimes fight erupting. 5. You sit with touts and watch matches. 6. Phones get stolen. 7. You finished watching late night matches at 11pm, and get robbed or attacked on your way home. 8. Perhaps you take few drinks at the viewing centre and get auto crash on your way back home. 9. There's no sense of class whatsoever. You get to mingle with riff-raff. Those are just few differences between your N50/N100 show in viewing centre compare to staying and watch your premium package at home. In life, anything "Premium" or "Added value" is expensive. |
tbanj07:My people want premium services for absolutely nothing. They want 24hours electricity for N500! That's the height of poverty in this country. |
Guys, let's stop being stupid and wise up for once in this country. What we need is "seemless portabilty" between cable TV provider. Anything otherwise, would mean the masses continuously been ripped off. TSTV is only coming to cut their share of the market. They will never match up with DSTV standard....and when the market gets so harsh on them they will pack and go like HiTV and DaarSat. The question you should ask is...what happens to all the HiTV, DaarSat, MyTV owners? |
translux:You are also warned. Nairabetter! |
MrSnill:Hell no. Never. DSTV cannot pay me. I can never work for DSTV. Its only few companies that can pay me, and even at that I can never be their staff other than consultant. Somehow, I feel Nigerians are the most gullible people in this world. I wont mind getting the so called TSTV too. After all it cost me absolutely nothing., but can every Nigerian say the same. I'm telling you, these people are just coming to rip us off. Until we have a consumer protection strong enough to fight for "portability" like we are now enjoying in Telecoms...Just forget TSTV. They will rip you real hard. I hate DSTV myself...,but trust me on this, TSTV cannot match. They are only coming to get their share of the market. Need I say, what we should fight for is for DSTV to embrace the pay as you watch system. And I know they won't except a strong competitor comes around. Whatever is good, I will embrace it. I just don't want my people to be ripped off like HiTV and DaarSat did. You are once again warned! |
icon8:Stop having typical African or perhaps Nigerian Mentality. You don't know what their decision is...regarding having child/children together. Its their biznez! |
Goke7:You are perfectly right my brother. And if there's anybody that welcome changes you can bet I'm no 1. I have more than 20 friends that their HiTV dish just staring at the cloud. The decoder is just occupying space in the room. Nobody to sue them to court. Billions of dollars have been taken away from the poor Nigerians and NBC or whatever agency regulating their licences haven't done anything till date. Mark my word, they are coming, but not to stay...,rather to have their own cut of the market and when the pressure in the market sets in...they will pack and go. |
Mediapace:Is DSTV 4months old? Why 4months? |
RobinRay:Did she prepare this for you? I beg make I come for her Sis. |
Mark my words. TSTV will dissapoint you big time. Its only the likes of Sky Digital or Virgin media that can come and challenge DSTV. DStv has sole dominance in Africa when it comes to cable TV. And they also have the capability to introduce the broadband section of their business. Every DSTV dish can supply internet access to every homes via inbuilt WiFi in the decoder. Guess, DSTV is just waiting to completely mop up the market before introducing the broadband section or when strong competitors come. What happens to the likes of HiTV, DaarSat etc. What is deceiving most of these Cable company is our huge population. But as we have often seen most of them don't prepare well before coming and they were soon shocked with the reality on ground. I'm not warning everybody, but only the few that will listen...Do not buy TSTV...You will end up regretting. Mark my word! |
Habyz:Guy, na wa oo! Na understanding matter now! |
With Carpooling, you will save more and stay fresh everytime. With one person having a car, 5 to 6 people, betterstill, colleagues can contribute say 5k to 7k each monthly for fueling and little maintenance of the car. This method works very fine only when everybody contributes and there is very good relationship between everyone. That's why its most suitable for colleagues. |
coldsummer:Guy, u try. U will make a better police detective. |
aolawale025:Please, what has he travelled for this time around? |
RoyalUc:I'm a Yoruba. I'm only supporting their agitation. Over 3millions of the IBO's have died in this struggle in the past. |
omoiyalayi:All parts of Nigeria will be like this when we restructure. |
RoyalUc:Salvaging is what brought us to this present situations. We've had almost 60years after independence. Do we need another millennia to see its not working? What we cannot salvage for almost 60yrs..., The cry has always been very loud since the days on Ken Saro Wiwa's only that few corrupt elements in the corridors of power that have continuously been benefiting from the status quo....(notably the Objs, Bubus, Ngidas...and all other recycled politicians) will not yield to the cry of my people. Today, its Nnamdi Kanu. The truth is, his like will never cease to come forward until the dreams are actualised. #LetMyPeopleGo. |
free2ryhme:She's undergoing cleansing. |
RoyalUc:Nigeria has never been united...That is the theme. No digression whatsover. I'm talking of this unholy union called Nigeria. It is the greatest injustice the British did in 1914. What is the laid down procedure for referendum? Do you think its just the South East? There has never been peace and progress whatsoever in the country...If its not NE Boko boys, it will be Niger Delta SS. if its not OPC SW, it will be Arewa boys...Nigerians are only been forced to stay as together. |
RoyalUc:Their historical and cultural identity could be their continuous demand for secession. Sovereignty is reinforced only when every part of the country is united. So, why is it difficult to grant referendum? Is there anytime this country has ever been united? Why can't we just be honest with ourselves for once. This marriage never worked since the days of my great great grand father. |
nototribalist:Amen |

....the stupid GOTV took out some channels without informing their subscribers after payment for the channels was made. Why would they offer channels they can't keep on their platform in the first place forcing people to go get them DSTV decoders? Anaye...swipe left!!!
