Atiku, FFK, Fayose, Kanu, Asari, Dasuki, El-Zazakky, Babachir, Tompolo and some section of Nigerians.
Side note: It is sad and irresponsible for PMB and his Buharists to be talking about 2019 at this point in time when they're still living in 2015. It will be very sad if Bubu contest 2019 again with his undisclosed ailment. He should just proceed on an indefinite rest |

Properties › Re: How Much Will It Cost To Build This Mansion? by CaptainFM1: 6:17pm On Sep 16, 2017 |
ikp120: 80 million will fantastically tidy up the main building (with great finishing like wall tiles, wallpapers, etc), the compound landscaping, the swimming pool (4.5m by 9m) and the fencing.
But I didn't include the boys' quarters and the gate keeper's post in my calculations.
PS: This is not a guess. I did actual calculations using overblown prices and overblown quantities of building material. If I use the exact prices, it WILL cost much less. I used overblown values because you need just an estimate and because my taste no be here
The cost of furnishings no dey in the 80m o.
I assumed that you have land already (2 plots or more). If you no get, you are on your own o.
For those screaming 150m, that amount will build you a massive 13 bedroom mansion with cinema and 3 swimming pools (one indoor swimming pool and 2 outdoor swimming pools) and furnish it with nice chairs and 55 inch televisions in each of the 3 sitting rooms, plus a 32 inch television in each of the 13 bedrooms, plus bed in each of the rooms, plus a 65 inch television in the cinema room.
I'm not guessing; the design and costing dey my table for here. Why not add Helipad or Runway with control tower to it....... |

MrBrownJay1: you mean people clap during bus journey? okada trip? keke trip? boat trip? Like I explained earlier, peoples response varies depending on their views. I do say a simple "Thank You" when coming down from a plane. I was on a flight that has over 120kids (from a school in Lekki)....They were all excited to get back to Nigeria. Are you going to tell them not clap? Come on, its all part of the fun. The pilot and crew were all cheered and happy. Even God in heaven was elated. |
Travel › Re: 6 Unwritten Rules Of Airplane Travel by CaptainFM1: 3:14am On Sep 14, 2017 |
MrBrownJay1: what about my all time FAVOURITE.... DO NO CLAP when the plane lands, as if this was a miracle or something. thats was the JOB of the pilot, and he shouldnt be celebrated/acclaimed just for doing his damn job.
you dont clap when a bus driver gets you to your destination safely, do you?! You can't stop people from celebrating if they are excited. It's just like saying Fans and Players should not celebrate when a goal is scored in a football match. People clap, shout Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah, Allah Akbar, do all sorts of responses to show their happiness because its another journey they've made safely. |

bigpicture001: ..china is very fortunate that the US is not interested in trade relationship with a quarter of the world's population..because the US views them as poor" that needs assist instead of to milk them dry...but that's a move I knw china is feasting on that the US will later regret...for your info...there is no single technology that china has, that the US does not have a better one...even the US and Europe don't export certain types of product to china..so thier technology is not stolen by the chinese..so far, cheap labour and and refusal to sign the copyright act is boosting chinese economy...but a saturation point would soon be attained..where all growth indexes would stagnate I can't make a point from what you are saying. Result is what matters in today's world. I agree the US have the technology, but the world is yet to see a tangible result for it. Even their phones are produced from China. Mind you, the Chinese are not inferior technological wise. They only dish out different standards to suit what different markets demand esp. with regard to their purchasing power. |

niyihawking: all of you trying to run your mouth saying that he's a minister not a supervisor, what is he doing on site then, what is he inspecting, why didn't he send the most qualified person in his ministry to inspect the work ( if not that he wants to show off for political reasons). Now that he's there, how the hell is he gonna criticize the project ( by having his subordinate whisper the fault to him?) Since he does not have the technical know how. Buhari is really a dullard, he should have made a tailor the minister of Justice. To me, fashola is a minister of nothing Too bad nobody likes you. I'm sure you know why? |

Does he know the meaning of CBR,bearing capacity,MDD, soil texture and structure, hot and cold ashphalting in road. Construction?
What of stopping site distance, clotoid design, walk ways, media and other safety design measures?
Any way Sai Baba You sound very much an Engineer. Exactly, the way most of them talk. However, in today's world, he doesn't need to be an engineer or a scientist to do what he's doing. He only need to have a very good managerial and administrative skills. He obviously will surround himself with all the people that has all the engineering knowledge and skill...and I mean, the Julius Berger's, CCECC, GE, Siemens et al. With the knowledge base you display here, u are better off joining the team, even if its a technical consultant. That's how things work. Till today, Bubu has not shown his certificate yet he's the president and he surround himself with teams that will help him achieve his goals. |
Education › Re: Amazing Words You Didn't Know Existed by CaptainFM1: 9:54pm On Sep 02, 2017 |
KemjikaEme: These words exist, however some of them are non standard English words. Some of them intially started off as slangs or expressions in non formal environment. A quick peruse in Nairaland thread might point fingers at certain words which may be upgraded as standard Nigerian expressions in the near future. You are very correct. Many don't know that words originate. A good example is "Google". It started as a company, now found itself in the English dictionary as a Verb. |
