@All

Please is anyone in lagos axis experiencing drop on the signal drop on w2 cband? Mine has been down for a week now.

On the instalation of nile with 2.4m,all u need is patient and the rigth tools. For a starter,use srt 4650 for the tracking. Tracking with 53x and 63x is misleading sometime. Example Nss 7 ku,if u get 90% on 52,by the time u use 63x you will get 97% and at 90% you may not hit nile. on 52 you need to hit at least 97% to get nile.  The dish must have been coupled by an expert. Not coupling dish well may lead to significant loss of signal. You have to also understand that the lnb that works for mr A may not work for mr. B. Some time you try more LNBs. In general you should be able to atleast 200 channels in lagos with 2.4m
I have the same issue.Sometimes two of the three tps will be working sometimes just one tp.At the moment it is the 3951 which is working.I think it has to do with the testing STN is still doing.

@All  i nailed the discovery world tp (3927v 8300) at w2A on my 1.8m solid dish .i believe the signal quality has improved,no special adjustment done.it is around 80% at the moment.Over 20 channels on w2A ,not bad.enjoy while it lasts.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by captainus: 10:17am On Feb 26, 2010
@George-D

Those channels on W2A are DVB-S2 mpeg4 and I doubt if the 63x can get them.Try the 69x or any mpeg4 receiver.Good luck

To add to what George_D said about pan being better for the out of footprint KU satellites u can go for the 3.1m pan dish if u have the means and the space .It goes for GHc 480. grin

@Mide2008,
That bird is very funny.At 62% quality the discovery tp wouldn't turn green but the other tp for France 24 and the other nine channels was working fine with about 75% quality on my supermax lnb.

[pre][/pre]@ George_D and all , these tps gave me (1) NTV 11716 H 3141 (2) TPA1 / TPA2 11723 H 6282 (3) TBC1 11713 H 3141
Hopes it shows green on other decoders.

@what satellite,because if its w4/7 I've tried it and it did'nt work.
I use the V polarity for all the tps above because no signal on the H for me.I got the NTV to about 70% quality on my 69x but still freezing and no picture.I got the RTS1(showing alright at about 41%) but the 2STV on the same tp showed no picture.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by captainus: 9:26am On Jan 28, 2010
@George_D,

Yes even though the lyngsat map shows the cband signal on W2A can be received with a less than 1.8m dish,it doesnot appear the signal is a strong/stable one.With my 1.8m pan motorised dish ,69x receiver the signal appears to be heading towards green at 50% quality,but it never hit green. I wonder if tweaking  the lnb will do the trick.It all goes to confirm that it's better to try it than just   to rely too much on the map given on lyngsat.

@moderator,  @ALL   As much as i know it is for fun, but certain phrases like Nazi concentration camp,terrorist academy,taliban orientation camp e.t.c are very sensitive considering the current world situation .i dont want our thread to be an unnecessary target.just my humble opinion.
