@enitan    i can confirm that rdv is fta.does it have any connection with the liquidation of gtv? Just wondering.hope it is not temporary as before

This afternoon i heard on the bbc that the premierleague are in negotiation with another pay tv provider to start showing the matches asap.well at least with my 2m i can watch liv vrs chelsea tomorrow without any wahala.the only downside in gtv going into liquidation is that many bros and sisters will be loosing their daily bread.i hope they get employment somewhere.

Yes some tps do appear green without dielectric like india tv hum tv ,royal and KBC but they r generally better without dielectric.
The signal quality for my cnn(nss7 cband) is poor  lately but tv africa goes up to 98%.Is it a general problem or u think i should tweak the lnb?I have 1.8m motorised dish and 4653x

Go to any mytv agent in Accra and get their card .Their monthly  subscription is about GHc20

Is your dish facing w3 or W4? If it is W3 then i think it may be the globecast channels(due to the proximity of w3 and Sirius4)

Yes nothing is impossible but I'll entreat u to check your cable conection to make sure the signal u r getting is not from the 2.4m dish   .
Did u move the dstv dish or it was still at w4 position?

@olofofo i'm having problem uploading the patch u posted for 4653x.i downloaded the 1.13mb file on my pen drive.however the file does not appear on the screen when i plugged my pen drive into the receiver.do i need to do some conversion or am i doing something wrong?

I fabricated one from the local eight-shaped (tv antenna to add it to my cband lnb.I saw a couple of lnb holders on the net and I thought they would be sold in one of the satellite and accessories shops.

Never mind I'll try and fabricate one again.The disadvantage with it is that the more u tweak the lnb,the weaker the holder( alluminium)becomes and it subsequently breaks.

Gtv is now part of the west african bouquet on dstv.Dont worry u r not missing anything.

TVAfrica is private ,and does not ,as far as I know,have anything in common with the old tvafrica from south africa

On the issue of echolink ,I put some questions a couple of pages back: I wanted to find out of what use will the decoder be if one does not have Nilesat or hotbird. Because at the moment and at my location (Southern Ghana with my 1.8m motorised dish) I don't have any of the above 2 birds and if I should get an echolink decoder what do I stand to gain that my SRT4653X does not give me?

@tox9ja tv3 shows one la liga game and one grade c premiership per week.they have highlight on the major european leagues on wednesday 8pm or 8.30pm(not too sure about the time). Website: tv3.com.gh

@tox9ja yes it is working.to make certain of it i've just finished watching barca vrs majorca.u know just like tv africa and tv + garbon u need to wait about a second or two b4 the signal turns green.i guess it has something to do with the SR( i.e below 2.0MS/s).the tp is not on lyngsat.A friend gave it to me.i use 1.8m motorised dish and i guess urs is even bigger.

@twinstaiye, badaru1 &all concerned, i've been following with keen interest discussions on echolink/starsat with the abra card with the 'wonders' they do on hotbird and nilesat.my question is of what use will they be for us who receive other birds i.e. not hotbird or nilesat.please respond.

@olofofo, tox9ja,badaru1 &anybody who receives atlanticbird3/cband there are these french channels dom1 dom2 dom3, dom8.om dom4 every sunday at 9.30gmt is AUTOMOTO(autoshow programme) and at 9.55gmt is TELEFOOT(the goals and behind the scenes actions from major european leagues).i've been enjoying since 2006.trust me u dont have to understand french to enjoy it.im currently watching it.try it and let me know ur response

To enjoy pas7/10 C band and Nss10(where metro tv is) ,u need to remove the dielectric from the LNBf or better still install another LNBf without the electric in addtion to the one with the dielectric.
