Gollywood actress Jackie Appiah recently spaked serious arguement on her instagram page, after she shared this pic of herself rocking a T-shirt with inscription that reads, 'No boyfriend, No problem'.
She captioed the photo: Hmmm....Is this true, YES OR NO? OR Should it Be "NO GIRLFRIEND NO PROBLEM? LoL Controversial T-shirt by @miskayboutique Makeup by @h.o_beautybar

The argument was out of this world, as many didn't agreed with the inscription. They felt it's the other way round. While others said Jackie is only catching feelings, lol. One fan said....

"When u dont seem to get a bf, and ure indirectly crying for help"

"You have been single for too long, that you don't know what the actual problem is," another fan said.

All their arguments generated almost a 1000 comments.

What do you think of 'No boyfriend, No Problem?' I think I agree with it absolutely. Some boyfriends can be extremely problematic, gosh!

Remarks by His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference,

Atlanta, on Thursday 14th, January, 2016.

Protocols

I thank the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, for inviting and honoring me today, and especially so, as this invitation comes right about the period when the world stands still in recognition of the selfless sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

I have learnt not to look up to any man, except he is taller than I, or to look down on a fellow mortal, except I am admiring his shoes. When we think of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), it is virtually impossible to separate this worthy body from its founder, the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, or from epoch making landmark events of the American Civil Rights movement.

I am pleased to know that the Southern Christian Leadership Conference is not just one of the great American institutions, it is also one of her more potent vehicles for the advancement of liberty and freedom for all God’s people. For that, I also commend Charles Steele for his leadership and commitment to peace and justice nationally and globally.

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s principles of non violent protests played a great part in the independence movement in my native country Nigeria and indeed throughout Africa as a whole.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr witnessed the British Union Jack being lowered in Ghana in 1957 when Ghana became the first Sub-Saharan African nation to gain independence, an action which set off a positive chain reaction all over the continent.

In 1963, Ambassador Leslie O. Harriman, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, who prosecuted our anti apartheid strategy at the UN, testified of the support he received from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in kick starting that noble effort.

Suffice to say that the efforts of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in advancing Liberty and equal rights transcended national boundaries.

Speaking for my foundation, the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation, I must say that I have been inspired by this great man and the worthy institutions and legacies he left behind and I am further inspired to continuing doing good and advancing human freedoms just by being present here today.

My personal takeaway from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, is service to God and the brotherhood and equality of all men before their Creator.

In keeping with that, I have learnt not to look up to any man, except he is taller than I, or to look down on a fellow mortal, except I am admiring his shoes.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said: “Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love”.

Those words helped me deliver on my stated promise to deepen democracy in Nigeria and in the process demonstrate through action that nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.

Once again, I thank the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for having me. May God bless you and continue to raise up from among you men and women who will continue in the footsteps of your worthy forebears.

PoliticsRe: $2.1bn Arms Probe: N1trn Found In 4 Ex-service Chiefs’ Accts by captianfreeman(m): 3:19pm On Jan 12, 2016
HungerBAD:
Indications emerged at the weekend that the 27-man task force investigating the $2.1billion arms procurement scandal under the former National Security Adviser, NSA, have traced a whopping sum of N1trillion to the accounts allegedly owned by four EX- service chiefs.

The $2.1 billion is an amount budgeted for procurement of arms by the immediate past administration to fight the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.

A highly placed source at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, told Nigerian Pilot that the task force investigating the arms deals in conjunction with the financial intelligence unit of the EFCC found about N1trillion of the missing money in the accounts of four former service chiefs. The money was allegedly paid into the military officers’ accounts domiciled in four new generation banks.

The source further said the affected service chiefs would soon be invited to explain all they know about the money found in their bank accounts as well as their involvements in the arms deals.

The former service chiefs were those in the Air Force, Navy and Army.

Apart from the Service chiefs, it was further gathered that more retired and serving military officers are also being investigated by the anti-graft agency and those found culpable would be invited for questioning.

For instance, the source explained that, “The commission has traced N400million to the account of a serving security operative. The shocking discovery was made just before the New Year.

“Efforts are still being made to trace other transactions. The motive is to go after some of these funds that are in private accounts.”
Recently, the EFCC picked up a serving Colonel and a German citizen in connection with the ongoing investigation into arms procured.

Sources said the duo are currently detained in connection with the training of 750 Special Forces in Belarus in 2015.

Another top operative of the commission said the commission had written to the Defence Headquarters and heads of the three services of the Armed Forces for the release of some personnel needed by the anti-graft agency to shed light on their roles in the arms procurement deal.

The Defence Headquarters had repeatedly said the present administration would not tolerate corruption, which it noted had retarded the development of the country.

The Acting Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, told our correspondent on phone that the military was fully in support of the Federal Government’s campaign against corruption.

In a related development, Nigerian Pilot gathered that the EFCC would next week invite nine prominent northerners, who were mentioned in a letter which a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, wrote to the anti-graft agency.

Anenih had in the letter explained how he shared N260millio paid into his account by the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA during the tenure of Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).

He alleged that he gave N63million to a group coordinated by a former Special Assistant to former President Shehu Shagari, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai.

But Yakassai said he only got N53million not N63million from Anenih as alleged and that he used it for official purposes.

Yakassai said, “The amount being bandied about is not what was given to me. It is true Chief Anenih gave the committee of eminent persons, which I headed some funds for our assignment. The money being quoted is not what we received.

“The committee of nine persons, which I led, was given an assignment to reach out to traditional rulers on the need for them to ensure peaceful elections in their domains because there was tension prior to the 2015 general elections.

“We went round 18 states and Abuja where we met two persons in each of the states we visited. We started with the Sultan of Sokoto. We could not meet with traditional rulers in Gombe because on the day of our visit, Boko Haram attacked the town and there were reports that they were targeting the Government House, where we were at that time.

“The money the committee received was for logistics, such as transport and accommodation. We wrote a report after our assignment, which started on January 14 and ended on February 15, 2015; the records are there.”

The elder statesman said he was prepared to defend the activities of the committee when required to do so, stressing that the committee performed its assignment creditably and transparently.

Efforts to get response from the EFCC did not succeed as at the time of filling this report as calls to the mobile phone of its spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren was not picked.

CrimeBreaking: EFCC, Police Besiege Abuja Home Of Ex-customs Boss, Dikko. by captianfreeman(op):
Reports just coming in reveal that the Abuja home of the immediate past Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Mr Abdullahi Inde Dikko, has been surrounded by stern looking mobile policemen and officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes

EFCC officials and mobile policemen have stormed the Abuja residence of former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Mr Abdullahi Product Inde Dikko.

Vanguard reports that security operatives in two loaded trucks stormed the residence of the former customs boss at Ahmed Musa street, Jabi, Abuja.

It was gathered that the security operatives and the anti-graft agency arrived the house in Toyota Hiace trucks with registration numbers RSH 555 AB and BWA 645 GA to conduct a search of the apartment but Dikko was said to be out of the country.

The reason for the search of Dikkos’s residence might not be unconnected with his activities during his leadership of the country’s ‘prime’ revenue agency.

However, the family of the former customs boss is allegedly being held hostage by the security operatives as no one is allowed in or out of the house.

Meanwhile, one of the four armed policemen in the operation, who spoke to NAN on condition of anonymity said their presence around the house was to ensure that there was no breakdown of law and order.

A relative to the former customs boss, Mr Mohammed Usman, said that the EFCC operatives arrived at the residence at about 7.am, adding that the information at his disposal is that about seven of the operatives entered the house to search for documents.

“A team of about seven operatives of the EFCC in company with some armed policemen arrived at the residence at about 7am and have been in the house for the past five hours. From the information available to me, no search warrant was presented before the commencement of the search. As I speak to you, they are currently in my uncle’s bedroom carrying out the search in his absence,”

Usman who condemned the search because it was carried out in the absence of his uncle said: “The only people in the house at the commencement of this search and even till now are his children who are below the ages of 18.”

When Mr Wilson Uwujaren, spokesman for the anti-graft agency was contacted for confirmation, he said he had not been informed of the search on the former customs boss residence.

Dikko who hails from Katsina state was the Comptroller-General of Customs from August 17, 2009 to August, 2015. His resignation is believed to have been propelled by the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari as the leader of the country. The former customs helmsman only served four months under Buhari before pulling the plug.
