Erelu_Y: Nigerian Schools have no policy or scheme in place for special needs children in its system. For the sake of your child and his/her future, do all that is in your powers to REMAIN where you are or relocate to another developed country. Please do not relocate to Nigeria. If, however, you care less about her/his future and, therefore, willing to jeopardise his future chances in life, then feel free return to Nigeria. Good luck.Your location says London. What do you even know about our educational system? Even autistic children are doing well here. Some of you just sit in front of your keyboards and type rubbish. |
Mazi_Omenuko: Yes, ma! The leaders are our undoing! They can't be trusted to implement such schemes and fund it sincerely. That means your recommendation cannot work too until we have good leaders. Is that your point? A null and void recommendation until leadership baton changes hand? |
@Mazi, you seem to feel that the problem of Nigeria lies in her leaders. If we change our leaders to the better ones YOU (Mazi) vote for, would you support free education at the tertiary level? More like, "Give us good leaders and there will be free education"? |
@aliciakeys, don't you think educational sector is more important than capital-intensive projects? Who will carry out these projects? Illiterates? Don't you think free education at the tertiary level will empower engineers, scientists, etc. to work out plans and projects that would improve our economy? |
@Deschyko and Samtolly, you are supporting free education at the tertiary level. Do you agree that most of these students spend a lot on social activities, lovers, etc. even more than their school fees? Have you attended parties and clubs in schools? Have you seen the display of affluence, wealth and competition by some of these students? Do you really think these students cannot afford their own education to a certain extent? |
Samtolly4JESUS, with free education to tertiary students, how do you intend to encourage independence and hardwork? With free education in all levels of education, how do you hope to sustain the economy and the enterpreneurial spirit of these students when they get out there? How do you make them understand that "nothing good comes easy" when you spoil them with freebies from primary level of education to teritiary level? |
Deschyko, you mentioned a projection of high average GDP. Is that what you want us to bank on? A mere projection which is not even actual yet? Please convince us further on that |
careytommy: this might be a problem. i will advise you leave him under foster care with any of youe relations in the states.Pls i beg you in the name of everything you hold dear, stop giving false information. We are talking about ADD here. Come on... |
Lynn48: My son has been on medication for almost 3 years which helps him to focus in school. I was wondering what kind of assistance I would receive from teachers and doctors when my family moves to Nigeria? What is the general attitude toward learning disabilities and any laws to accommodate and help children in school? This is not a problem. I don't know where you plan to relocate to but i'm very positive that there are some schools in Lagos that cater for such needs even beyond your expectation. Don't listen to people trying to discourage you. Must of them don't know anything about schools or what they offer. They are always ready to paint Nigeria black. I have worked in a school for children with special needs and learning disabilities. These schools are quite expensive though. Every child can learn but you need to understand the child's learning style. There is no dumb child...and every child is different. |
sirgreen: My experience was bad! I moved after the operation, like standing up and took a walk in d evening, the next day I could not even stand up.AMEN!!! *deep sigh* Oh dear Lord... |
Low cut... |
I wish y'all the best ![]() |
Yes it is. Just a little difference. |
uj_sizzle: Tried calling you, but your line wasn't connectingI waited. I agree the network was pretty bad. I'm even looking for you sef. You reply your messages only after two or three years. Wonder the kind of phone you use or the kind of network in "your" area ![]() |
adexsimply: ![]() I've missed you o. Counting down, huh? |
I'm interested in Topic 3: Cohabitation....recipe for successful marriage. I want to participate ![]() |
uj_sizzle: Can you stay 30mins longer? plsssss30 minutes never reach? ![]() |
Ihedinobi: Lord, marriage ain't no game wichu, so I'ma pray you give her aFixed! Thanks dear |
debosky:Hehehehe. Now you know. I actually forgot his name. Thanks for reminding me. Olufi! I won't forget that ever again. debosky: Amen!!!Thanks jare. I really know the kind of man i want. And i understand my kind of person. I no fit shout biko. |
Ihedinobi: I'm not gonna affirm that by saying I hope you get what you wish for. I'm simply going to say that I hope you eventually realize what you just said.Lemme help you out. I pray on bended knees that i get what i wish for. Please dear Lord, grant me my request. ![]() |
uj_sizzle: literally) A male person who has a pleasant, friendly manner.Dayuuummm! I don't want a nice guy again! ![]() |
debosky: Hmm. . .I don't want to miss road oh, since everything is relative. In every town (maybe), there is a palace. We share the same palace. Is palace a relative word again? *deep sigh* Then i guess we are all relative people. Nothing has a perfect definition. |
uj_sizzle: babe,u still at work? I'm heading that way.Yes. But not for long. 12noon. Remember? Matthew briggs: True not everything is in black and white. Taste differs and perception is subjective.Isn't that what we've been trying to preach to them? |
debosky: #Let'sGoThereI'm tired of arguing biko. The palace? You don't know? Chei! |
debosky: RAH!!!That's not a problem. We can start from the palace |
Danhumprey: That's why compartible partners have to be different,so that the can complement each other. Two partners with the same character are gonna be boring and would bore the life outta each others. So why is ihedinobi against "opposites attract"? More like two Phlegmatics getting married. To Ihedinobi, Sanguines attract Sanguines. Wonderful! ![]() |
debosky: Too many relativity traps in that one. 'Nice-guy' who grew up seeing playful 'slaps' administered at home and considers his dad a nice guy could regard those as nice-guy traits no? They wouldn't be against his conscience would they?God bless you. A nice guy to you might be a weak guy to me. Definition differs. The guy i consider a typically bad guy might be a nice guy to a girl out there. It depends on what we believe in. Very personal. |
debosky: #TeamBornReadyThat's the spirit. Blood they say, is thicker than water/beer We don't give up easily! We are born ready! |
debosky: Sounds like a PhD subject to me.As a matter of fact, it is. Failure is not an option. No turning back. Ready? debosky: #ResearchProjectVersion2.0 ![]() |
Ihedinobi: My my! Girl, who said anything about "exactly like"? I only said "like". It's that simple. If we wanted people exactly like us, only identical twins would get married and maybe not even then.Ok, lemme fix that. I do not want someone like me! ![]() |
Graham123: But seriously I hate nairaland smileys. They look like extra terrestrials. Just to cool it down. I think it is time we defined effectively and in clear terms what a nice guy is. Until we do, then it's all daggers and spears. But I think ihedinobi gave a near impeccable description in a thread somewhere. Wimps, bads and nice.I wonder what that means. Not like i care though. It's obvious there are different meanings of "nice guy". So i'll just stick to my type ![]() |
Ihedinobi: Just read the damn thread or the op again, if you like, and decide what it's about. For you maybe. I won't disagree with you over your views. As for me, i don't want someone exactly like me. Nah...nah...nah...it won't work. We would fight everyday and probably break some bones. ![]() |
