Ricky_Ross: Dont talk like an idiioot, there is no safe place anywhere in the world. The America you are talking about is not safe, check their road safety records and see the staggering number of people that die on their highways everyday. What about the hundreds of people that are shot monthly by blood sucking white supremacists? Did you see how school children were massacred in USA last week? Has it ever happened to Nigeria before?
If you believe America is better for you please stay there, i dont know who is begging you to come to Nigeria. I know some guys in Port Harcourt, they are clearing/forwarding agents and they are making hell of money in PHC, they cannot spend more than 2 weeks anywhere outside Nigeria bc they are making their money here. There are some guys that are making good money in Pakistan, tell them America is heaven they will tell you go to hell. There are folks who are making it in America and they are happy and comfortable. If you are ok in America thats cool, as for me theres no place like Nigeria. What has never happened in Nigeria before? Somebody or people picking up weapons to kill innocent ones? How can you even think about comparing America with Nigeria, this country is hell on earth. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Does Each Bible Text Have A Fixed Interpretation? by Carlmax(m): 10:53am On Nov 19, 2012 |
rhymz: You seem not to understand the implication of your argument. Which organization has interpreted, been interpreting and has continued to interprete the bible? The Roman catholic Church and its affiliate.
Like somebody has already said, the bible is not the inerrant words of some male god residing nowhere in particular in the sky, it is a compilation of different writings and texts from different anonymous writers-many of them fictitious- with belief systems that were not neccessarily christian.
Whether it is the words of a god or not, it has always been tampered with by the roman catholic church. Besides, both the OT and the NT books were canonized by mere mortals-rabis and bishops playing power politics. The OT for example was canonized at the Council of Jamnia by imperfect Jewish rabis; it should also be noted that the books that they canonized were as well from different sources and not representative of the views of every Jews as there were Jews living in Ethiopia who either did not hear of it or did not accept the decision of Jamnia. To this day they use a different canon than their Palestinian brethren [Encyclopedia Judaica, Vol 6, p 1147]. As for the NT, its canonization process constituted a menace; the meetings were rancous and wild with bishops angrily shouting down eachother and disagreeing with eachother to the point of getting physical with gangs. They threw away books that did not meet their god-inspired pre-requisites, altered those that they felt needed little tweaking before joining the club and later pronounced them gospels, indeed they were god's spells cos one has to be under a spel to believe the BS written in those books. For instance the story of the adultrous woman shows a typical example of alteration and writing to fit a purpose and how rife they are in the bible; the question is this, who did the woman commmit the adultry with? Where is the man in question? Did she commit adultery all by herself? How come the tales of her punishment was only reported while the man that commited it with her gets a silent report, what a mysoginistic depiction of event and that's all you see in the bible. Men dominating everything while the women just sit and obey like zombies.
The book of matthew, Mark, and John were not written by the men that bore these names, they were barely educated to write any of those books in the language in which they were originally copied from, those books were written by anonymous church scribes, the names used were deliberately used to decieve and give the impression that they were directly from Jesus's disciples or prophets that had met Jesus and interacted with him. Men, mere mortals made the bible divine, called and chose which of the many false depictions of events and lies to be described as god's inspired words. I repeat again, the irreconcilable BS is not inerrant, it is man's words against another man's words. The bible is nothing different from the muslim Koran or other religious books based on the religious ideologies of their founders and then made divine through concocted mystic and mystery stories of its oringins. Tell them... Foolish christians that won't even bother to investigate the origin of what they practice, some nairalanders are here arguing the bible was not compiled by the catholic church, by bishops and "men of God" as corrupts as the ones we have today... No wonder most of the west have thrown religion away cos the truth was altered by selfish men to fit their purpose. |

They help so many people in many ways. they put themselves through lots of sacrifice to fulfill what God has called them to do. do u know how many lives have been changed as a result of their ministrations?or d number of people who got deliverance, healing, encouragement? It baffles me how doctors in d world charge 100,000 for consultation and its okay, then God uses someone to perform a miracle and another person is getting angry because d individual shows his appreciation to God by offering a gift.
Besides How do u want to compare God's work with stupid music u or senseless movies where people just come to display and showcase bodies and fake accents. There's clearly no basis for your claims! Seun pls add a "thumbs down" button for this forum. So we don't have to reply some peeps |

Roland17: Am making my assertions based on your story,
In the past, when you both started out, to be candid you were still very young although you were in love with him, you did not know what you wanted from the relationship, there was a craving to explore romance and imaginations which is very normal and natural, if you did not go out of your way to satisfy that craving, you would end up doing so now or in your marriage and i think that would have hurt more.
Today, i read and i can feel the level of maturity time and experience has taught you, make up your mind, call him to share a heart to heart discussion with him, be open like its ur last chance to love again, apologize to him about your past and make a promise of dedication to commit to him, especially if he's worth keeping, still loves you and willing to give another chance.
The most important thing is to clear your conscience with a heart felt apology and keep your heart open, the joker is not yours to play anymore, u can only hope, this would guarantee you peace of mind, every relationship is for a a reason, u are wiser now, take advantage of the maturity experience has taught you.
Stay strong, we have all made mistakes, learning and taking full responsibility of the conseoquences from our mistake is the epitome of maturity.
Love is never enough. Listen to this man for he has given d best advice.. |
