PoliticsWorking With Ebube Agu Is Like Asking Lucifer To Mid-wife Birth Of Christ - IPOB by CasNova(op):
The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has vowed not to pitch tent with the newly found Ebubeagu Security Network by the Southeast governors.

The group made this assertion in a statement signed by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful on Monday.
Recall a group under the aegis of World Igbo Congress earlier declared support for the IPOB’s ESN while calling on the Southeast governors to disband the Ebubeagu following the rising security challenges in the region in recent times.
Collaborating their view, Powerful says “it’s quite unreasonable for those calling for collaboration”, insisting “the Ebubeagu was created for mischievous purpose”.

The statement read:”We have noted with keen interest, the genuine calls by some eminent Igbo for a collaboration between our gallant Eastern Security Network, ESN; and the ghost Ebubeagu security network recently floated by the Southeast governors. We have equally noted similar calls by some self-acclaimed but unreliable Igbo elders and Ohanaeze chieftains.

“But we have a simple question for them all: can light and darkness work together? We all knew the circumstances that gave birth to ESN. It was when the governors woefully failed to stand with the people who were being raped and slaughtered daily by Fulani herdsmen and jihadists that our leader, based on the yearnings by the people had to establish ESN to save the situation. And ever since then, the narrative has changed.

“Out of envy and jealousy as those being remote-controlled by the Caliphate, the Southeast governors belatedly, and without coordination announced a ghost security outfit – Ebubeagu. For the discerning minds, the action of the governors and their masters is a suspect. They are out for something sinister but we are too smart to fall for it.

“Where are the personnel of the so-called ‘Ebubeoke na Ngwere? When Amotekun was formed by Southwest governors, did you not see their personnel and equipment? When our Leader established ESN did you not see our gallant men? How then are you asking ESN to collaborate with ghost Ebubeagu that has no identifiable personnel?

“How can ESN collaborate with Ebubeagu that is being supervised by the compromised Nigeria security agencies? Heads of all security agencies in the Southeast are all Fulani who have failed to protect our people against their kinsmen and footsoldiers of the Fulanisation agenda. These are those behind the formation of Ebubeagu, and you want us to work together with them?

“Asking ESN to collaborate with Ebubeagu is like asking Lucifer to midwife the birth of Jesus Christ. But for the gullible, Ebubeagu was simply floated to spy on ESN and IPOB. The aim of the Caliphate in forcing their puppets called South East governors to float the imaginary outfit is to scuttle the bonding unity among Ndigbo and set our youths against themselves but we are ahead of them in this game.

“If the South East governors were sincere, they would have rather supported ESN which has been doing a pretty job since inception instead of floating this joke and mockery. They should hide their faces in shame for working against the desire of their people. Go and conduct opinion poll among Ndigbo and know what they want: whether ESN or Ebubeagu is their choice, then the result will determine the next line of action.

“The security of our land is sacrosanct and too sensitive to be left in the hands of these political desperados without conscience. They can easily compromise it for a pot of porridge and selfish political interest. We will never take such a stupid risk!

“The people have lost confidence in the governors who abandoned them when it counted most. ESN came to their rescue and will defend them until Biafra is fully restored where their security can be guaranteed.”

PoliticsPDP Governors Did Not Work Against Jonathan, Jonah Jang Counters Aliyu by CasNova(op): 8:38pm On Apr 17, 2021
Previous thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6509823/babangida-aliyu-why-some-pdp

A former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has said that there was no iota of truth that northern governors of the Peoples Democratic Party worked against the re-election bid of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan during the 2015 general election as claimed by a former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu.

Aliyu had on Friday revealed that northern governors of the PDP worked against the re-election of former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

He said they worked against Jonathan’s re-election because he reneged on an agreement not to seek a second term.

Aliyu said this in a statement he signed titled, ‘Why We Opposed Jonathan’s Second Term Bid –Babangida Aliyu.’

He was reacting to his purported suspension by the PDP in Chachanga Local Government Area of Niger State for alleged anti-party activities, including working against Jonathan in 2015.

But Jang who was governor of Plateau State at the time, in a statement in Jos on Saturday, said there was no time the 19 northern governors “met, deliberated and decided not to support the re-election bid of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.”

In the statement titled, ‘Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu Lied,’ signed by his Media Consultant, Clinton Garuba, Jang said, “The attention of the immediate past governor of Plateau State, Senator Dr. Jonah David Jang, has just been drawn to a statement credited to the past governor of Niger State, where he alleged that the then 19 states northern governors met, deliberated and all decided not to support the re-election of the then President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. We wish to state categorically that Senator Dr. Jonah Jang was not part of that meeting.

“For the avoidance of doubt, despite the perceived shortcomings of President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Jonah believed that Jonathan was better equipped to rule Nigeria at the time, especially when his opponent was General Buhari. Jang did not hide his conviction concerning Buhari’s inabilities to resolve the Nation’s challenges and sensitivities of the issues at the moment. Unfortunately, Buhari won and we are all witnesses to the tales of woes.

“We view the statement of Dr. Aliyu as an attempt to drag the hard earn reputation of Jang into disrepute, having served Nigeria as a military officer, later a civilian Governor and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and discharged his responsibilities without blemish.

“Senator Jang is not one who speaks from both sides of his mouth, rather he speaks and supports only what he believes, little wonder that Plateau was won by President Jonathan in the 2015 general elections, largely due to the hard work of the then governor.

“For emphasis sake, there was no basis for Dr. Jang not to have supported Dr. Jonathan especially when the contest was against General Buhari.”

PoliticsRe: Ezekwesili: It’s Time Buhari Convoke Sovereign National Conference by CasNova(m): 8:06pm On Apr 17, 2021
The idea of convoking sovereign national conference will not work.

Legally, it means the body will be the supreme assembly that will make decisions for the country, as the word 'sovereign' connotes.

Where will this leave the national assembly?

It will be illegal for Mr. President to convoke a body that is supreme over the national assembly - constitutionally speaking.

The solution to the myriads of Nigeria's problem is self agitations for self determination as some regions are already doing.

However, the agitations can be done peacefully and through diplomacy, although it may take time.
