An online outrage has been sparked after a masquerade was spotted doing traditional display at the ordination of a new Rev. Father at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Okigwe, Imo state. According to reports, the Reverend Father's people came with the masquerade from Abia state to join others in celebrating him at the church premises on Saturday, September 30.

Nigerian online users have reacted to these trending photos from the ordination after they were shared on online.

Ebonyi State House of Assembly member, Maria Ude Nwachi, who is the lawmaker representing Afikpo North East Constituency, has revealed the main quality that attracts her very much. Taking the her Facebook account, the active social media lawmaker revealed that other qualities may attract her to the individual but they will definitely bore her with time but anyone that has intelligence can have her forever. This is quite disheartening....talking about a woman carry a baby for nine months, only to dump him or her after delivery. This little baby was reportedly dumped by the mother at Oyigbo dump site in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to reports, the baby who was found dead this morning - apparently died from the cold after being exposed.

A group of robbers who decided to rob a residential building in Benin city, Edo state - got more than they bargained for after three of them were apprehended by eagle-eyed residents. The robbers penetrated the building after breaking through the wall but were caught by residents few minutes later.

The robbers were thoroughly beaten before they were handed to security operatives who took them into custody.

According to multiple online reports, there is an ongoing protest in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital after a trigger-happy policeman killed a young boy selling pure water along Okporo road, Port Harcourt. The boy was reportedly shot by the policeman over environmental sanitation in the area.

Reports have it that an angry mob which have gathered to protest - are threatening to burn down Okporo Police Station...

A thief who snatched a car from a man at gun point in Rivers state has been arrested by officers of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) and the stolen vehicle recovered. When the vehicle was searched, various guns and bullets were discovered.

The snatched car has been given back to the owner who was excited to receive it.

Members of the Nigerian Navy have disbanded an illegal paramilitary establishment named; Costal Defence Force, 4th Arms Signal Ship Base operating in Okpokwu local government area of Benue State, with their command sign boards boldly mounted in the area.

The Nigerian Navy who swung into action following a tip off reportedly arrested 24 matured young men ranging between the ages of 22-35 of which discovered on them were military uniforms, fire arms, cutlasses and enlarged pictures of President Buhari, The governor of Benue State and ranking officers of the group.

An inmate in Ogwashi Uku Prison Onos Osagie awaiting trial prisoner who has spent 5years is currently undergoing punishment. The prison Authorities claimed Onos leaked the information about the malnourished prisoners to Behind Bars Intervention.

He was chained yesterday, beaten and locked up in a punishment cell.

The Controller General of Prisons is expected to be in Ogwashi Uku Prison today.

Yesterday, It was reported that men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) neutralized some armed men suspected to be kidnappers along the East/West road in Emouha area of Rivers state. It has now been revealed that the SARS operatives were involved in a gun battle with Degbam cult members. One of the SARS operative who was shot in the thigh by the cult members - was rushed to the hospital and is currently responding to treatment.

Some of the cult members were also killed in the fierce shootout.

The incessant killings of Nigerians by South African police authorities seem to be getting out of hand. Another Nigerian man identified as Clement Ofoma from Obosi in Anambra state has been killed. According to Star Boy Nino Brown who shared the sad news, the young man was beaten to death earlier this month by Metro police in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Angry Nigerians took to the streets of Johannesburg as they stormed the police station in protest to the young man's death. May his soul rest in peace.

On Sunday 24th September 2017 at about 2.00pm, troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army in conjunction with elements of Department of State Services trailed and arrested 2 illegal arms dealers; Abdulkarim Jibrin and Suleiman along Funtua-Gusau road in Zamfara State.

They were caught driving a Golf Volkswagen car with registration number AWE-534-AA (Nasarawa) containing 1,479 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition. Preliminary investigation shows that on their way to deliver the ammunition to armed bandits. The suspects are in Department of State Services custody.

In a related development, troops of 1 Brigade, 1 Division Nigerian Army, deployed at Rabah Local Government Area, Sokoto State, also on Sunday 24th September 2017, at about 1.00pm arrested suspected cattle rustler, Abdullahi Jummo Nakogiwo at Dalingen in Rabah Local Government Area (LGA). Similarly, troops deployed at Dangulbi, Maru LGA, Zamfara State, on routine patrol apprehended 3 armed bandits at Gobirawan Chali. The team recovered 1 AK-47 rifle magazine, 40 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, the sum of N45,500.00k, Nokia mobile telephone handset battery and 3 Airtel SIM cards. The suspects have been handed over to the Nigeria Police.

A young lady identified as ‎Onyinyechi Diamond Okorola‎ is filled with thanks and appreciation to God after surviving a motor accident while traveling. The accident saw their passenger bus somersault multiple times - leaving her and other passengers wounded.

A bus reportedly rammed into a building yesterday at Iyase Street off Uselu Lagos Road Benin City in Edo state.
‎According to Omogiade Victoria‎, the driver of the bus lost control after the tyres were shot at by officials of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Wonders they say shall never end! This pictures of accident you are seeing just happened about 2hours ago at Iyase Street off Uselu Lagos Road Benin City. The driver of the bus was being pursued by members of Nigerian Civil Defence since they couldn't get hold of the driver they shot at the the tyres of the bus and it lost its control & balance and rammed into this building.

When they saw the accident they left and came back in fifteen minutes time and when they came they were fully armed they started using their guns to destroy the bus windscreen, they also shot sporadically into the air, assaulting any guy they see on the street.

They left and came back again the third time shooting anyhow, arrested some carpenter's who were in their shop doing their legitimate business humiliated them ask them to pull their clothes and swim in mud water after that they took them away while they were leaving I gathered courage and snap this picture you are seeing from afar they sighted me from distance and came after me I ran into a nearby house they broke the door of the house and started checking for me from room to room but the Lord Almighty shield me from their assault and humiliation this evening.

Crown Prince of Bénin Kingdom has been unveiled. He is Prince Ezelekhae Ewuare. He was unveiled at the Oba of Benin's palace where immediate past Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, was honoured by the Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II in a grand reception to send forth the Ex-Governor and thank him for his developmental impacts in Edo state.

It is the first time Prince Ewuare would be introduced at an occasion.
