The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC Kaduna zonal office today, October 24, 2017, sealed six properties allegedly proceeds of crime traced to Abdulrashid Maina. The properties include a 2 storey building in the commercial centre of Ibrahim Taiwo road, a residential bungalow located on Katuru road off Wurno road, and 4 separate bungalows located on Kano road, Kawo new extension Kaduna.

According to media reports, the embattled ex-chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, who has been accused of complicity in a N2bn fraud, has gone into hiding.

Maina, who is still on the wanted list of the anti graft agency for the alleged offence, went into hiding soon after news that the EFCC had launched a manhunt for him became public.

A Senior Special Assistant has been accused of battering a woman in Edo state. The woman identified as Josephine Etokhana from Etsako Central, was allegedly brutalized and given a swollen eye by the special assistant over donation by the wife of the deputy governor. There was pandemonium yesterday night as cultists went on rampage at the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, the state capital. According to information gathered online, the clash was between two rival cult groups; Aiye Confraternity a.k.a '' and Eiye Confraternity, as one person was killed in the process and his body abandoned by the roadside. .

A woman from Igabi Local Government Area Council in Kaduna, has been left in sorrow following the current predicament she found herself in. According to an online report which was published in Hausa by Arewa Dailypost, the 35-year-old woman and mother of two claims she was infected by her husband of 15 years with HIV.

According to the post, the woman claimed that she never wanted to marry the said man but was forced by her father to marry him.

She is reportedly calling on the authorities to come to her aid.

A young lady has revealed how shocked she was after emerging the winner of the Shoprite Car Promo in Imo state. The lady identified as Okere Ijeoma, walked away with a brand new car on Sunday (yesterday) after filling a free ticket some months ago at the shopping center in Owerri, the state capital.

My eyes fill with tears when I received the calls, I was asked to come and take my car at shoprite Owerri, for the free ticket I filled few months ego, I rushed down to shoprite with my sister, I saw a crowed that got me more confused, I was asked so many questions to confirm if I am the real person, I presented my ID card, they next voice i heard was she is the one. My heart full of joy, I became more surprise, why me??

Many were killed following twin bomb blasts which occurred Sunday night in Maiduguri city, Borno state capital . According to police report, the three suicide bombers suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists detonated IEDs (Improvised explosive devises) at different locations, killing themselves and other residents.

The first blast reportedly happened at a bus station, Muna Garage, at about 8:20 pm local time.

Two female bombers also reportedly blew up themselves at Muna Dalti, a few metres from the scene of the first explosion.

In both blasts, 18 people were said to have injured.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State today, overwhelmed audience at the flag off of the Local Government Election campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu North L.G.A with tears of joy, when he spotted from the podium, a physically challenged woman who was struggling to have a glimpse of him and invited her to the stage.

The governor asked the mother of one, Grace Okoye, from Abia State resident in Enugu, what she wanted him to do for her.

Responding, she first appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi for taking notice of her presence in the midst of the mammoth crowd at the event, narrating with emotions how she has been struggling to survive and take care of her baby girl through the sale of sachet water, and pleaded with him to assist her start a new life.

At the peak of her narration, tears, uncontrollable tears, started pouring out from the eyes of many, as Gov. Ugwuanyi announced a personal donation of N1million and also promised to open a business for her, saying: "This is not politics. If you are educated we will give you employment but if you are not, an appropriate business will be opened for you".

Some years ago, Hummer Jeeps were so much valued in Nigeria that a "man can even be imprisoned for scratching the luxury car".lol.. Despite being what it is, the car seems to have moved out of fashion as some Hummer Jeep owners are now using them to "less important" services such as this.

According to an online user, this luxury Hummer H2 was spotted being used to convey bamboo sticks from a timber market in the eastern part of the country. The vehicle was reportedly the center of attraction in the market.

This is very sad. Two school children lost their lives instantly after being involved in a fatal accident along an expressway in Abuja on Tuesday, Oct 17. According to reports, the vehicle which was conveying the children with other passengers - was hit by a truck, thereby killing the little children and leaving other passengers wounded.

Nwajide Tochukwu who shared the photos on Facebook wrote;

Happened today along dia dia express road Abuja. The little innocent ones that lost their lives I pray that God takes back there soul to his heavenly kingdom and the badly injured ones I also pray for quick recovery.

It appears like the reports of vaccination of school children against monkeypox virus in the eastern part of the country - have done more harm than good in the nation following pandemonium in Maiduguri, Borno state capital. According to multiple reports, school activities were cut short earlier today after reports filtered into town that students were being injected with vaccines by a non-governmental organisation (NGO).

Parents immediately stormed the schools and withdrew their children as panic spread from one school to the other.

According to reports, the parents are refusing their children/wards to be vaccinated by anyone over fear of the dreaded monkeypox virus.
