Nairalander248:Point still stands, there is no reputable lawyer from Baze University. All you are saying is one possible reason why. Another possible reason could be the degree is not worth the part it is printed on! My university has produced many reputable lawyers. Many SANS etc, As at the time I left, no one ever graduated with a 1st class. Baze university dishes out 1st class in law anyhow. |
hisexcellency34:Na him. OBJ ate pounded yam and said this is your resignation letter, sign here! He was a good man! Instead we worship devils like OBJ! |
Nairalander248:I said reputable! Google the meaning. Reputable is different from famous. Reputable in this context means you are considered an authority in law. |
RIP! One of the few who die whom you can say was truly a good man! We are fast losing the few good people left. |
WizardOfNG:They know what they are doing. I honestly at this point don’t know which is more dangerous to the country. 1) The bigots who would saddle the country with a man like Obi just to achieve a psychological tribal agenda, 2) those who claim to be educated have no tribal agenda but genuinely believe such a man with his track record on show is not only a saint but a messiah! 3) Those blinded so much by hatred of Tinubu or possibly Yorubas in general that they overlook or not examining the credentials or track record of the man the call the alternative. Either of the above it is difficult to see how the brain was engaged. I don’t have a problem if people are opposed to Tinubu, that’s normal and expected but for the sake of the country for God’s sake, find someone else, someone credible.

helinues:We have an epidemic of very dull citizens and it is an existential threat to us as a country. My biggest fear and worry for Nigeria is not whether Tinubu wins in 2027 or not. My biggest fear is what happens to this country after he leaves office be it 2027 or 2031. Putting the future of a country in the PVC of people who are so blatantly dull is very worrying. The conventional belief was that the Northern politicians weaponised poverty in the North to electoral purposes. What is the excuse of so called educated south that a man like Obi can be seen as the solution? We might as well have saved our education budgets in the south. What is wrong with us? How can a man like Obi widely known to be a disaster as a governor for 8 years be considered a messiah? I really worry how fundamentally dull many of our citizens are! |
SmartPolician: LagosOrigin:We are breeding too many dull citizens. |

I do t know any reputable lawyer who graduated from Baze University. I only know politicians who never got 2:1 in their youth who then go to Baze university and get 1st class in law in their old age. A university that awards Dino a 1st class degree in law can’t be a good university. |
lwisee:What is wrong with you people? Is it APC that forged signatures? |
sowore once said prison is his second home. I am sure he is very comfortable. |
Softmirror:You should be crying because they are a joke of an opposition and that’s not good for the country. I have never seen an opposition so inept in the history of this country. That includes LP and PDP. |
Goke7:i have been preaching this on nairaland for as long as i have been on the platform that the worst people to elect in Nigeria today are so called technocrats. Akeredolu, Fayemi, osinbajo. the problem is Nigerians are easily fooled by people who speak good English. they dont understand that being a subject matter specialist (e.g lawyer) does not equal competence in governance or politics. residual effects of colonialism. |
tenpipsperday:peter obi and corruption are like 5&6 he is even more dangerous that the people you call corrupt because he pretends he is a saint |
Goke7:another reason is also because the more we get exposed to western education, the more we migrate and lose touch with the villages. All of us are congregated in Abuja, Lagos etc but senators, reps, governors come from the villages and our ancestral towns and who is there to make sure the best get elected? again we will gather on Arise and start speaking more english than the englishman. |
kingbee90:some of you people just open your mouths and dont think. Any election that has 3 strong candidates means Tinubu wins. Jonathan coming into the race if true is not good for the opposition. |
PlasmaTV:He is popular because he is the heir to Nnamdi Kanu! |
Any permutation where there are more than 2 candidates and Tinubu wins before 12 noon. |
lightwind:na dey i dey my lane, na you come jump on my mention. |
Once Nigerians acquire western education, they will start speaking english more than the English man, saying politics is a dirty game. The dirty people will enter the politics since its a game for dirty people. English speakers will then from their airconditioned offices start to speak english complaining that politics has been taken over by dirty people. |
lightwind:are you not the ones who say Ibos outnumber or equal the yorubas in Lagos? if so then the only people who matter are ibos and yorubas. And i said go to where the ibos are concentrated and look for old pictures of those areas when ibos were not many in Lagos. Surulere, ikeja, Amuwo, festac Lekki tell me what difference you see. |
This is the problem i have with English speaking western educated Nigerians. too much theory and armchair commentary. Should and reality are 2 different things. if it is the thieves that are the politicians and are the ones that do the work to get you into power, then they will have to be rewarded...thats politics. you dont get into power and then abandon the people who got you into office and reward the non thieves who didnt do anything because they are afraid of politics. they will remove you or you wont get relected. The solution is for more non thieves to get into politics. Until they do, they should shut up. |
lightwind:I lived in Lagos before the mass influx of Ibos. Trust me you don’t want me to answer that question. Look for old pictures of areas where Ibos are concentrated today. |
Ofunaofu:earlier today someone claimed Tinubu's had no projects in the SS. I countered him with 6 different videos of ongoing projects, i have not heard from him since.. Somebody says this is what Obi left behind, counter him with evidence. When you dont have any you resort to abuses. |
this man is simply preparing the ground for the impending public announcement of betrayal by fayemi |
No national Vice chairmen for SW or SS. Wetin happen nobody wan join? 3 national Vice chairmen for diaspora, PU Dey London? |
eherbal:A lot f the schools there are public schools. Is it that you don’t know what a public school is? In fact many of the elite schools in my time are listed. Kings college, MBHS, MG, Igbobi, Babs academy, STC and St Anne’s Ibadan, and I also saw one FGC on the list. |
MightySparrow:Most “boreholes” are actually deep wells. Most cannot afford the cost of a proper borehole. most developers of small housing units especially in the Lekki axis will cut costs so in that respect the commissioner knows what he is saying. |
Landinvestments:This is not really news. You have a standard sized plot. In the same compound you did a borehole and a septic tank, sometimes not far from each other. On top of that it rains and the floods carry all sorts of waste into your compound and mixing it all together. |
Opposition parties will do anyhow and then blame the president, APC or INEC. All these opposition members are ExPDP. It is the same mentality they used in destroying PDP they have taken to their new parties. Everywhere they go they bring problems because they go wi to the same PDP impunity mindset. I have said it many times the problem with PDP is that they were never a Democratic Party. They were the civilian party of the military for the purpose of transition too civilian rule and governed with that mindset. It worked while they were in power. Obasanjo, IBB, Atiku, Bode George, Nyako, Alamieyeseigha, David Mark, Anenih, Oyinlola, Jonah Jang…..the list is endless. They were all ex uniformed people. People not used to operating democratically. All the opposition parties today having issues are PDP or ex PDP refugees. |
