Look bro, maybe you one of those lucky with impeccable analytical and quantitative skills, even more is that you didn't start at 40 but for most, its a lot of sacrifice. Even more they can bear.

Am not a programmer, don't plan to be but after for someone like me who study computer engineering, computer science and education, with quite a few training from Aptech and the likes in their early years, over 20yrs in the IT industry, i know core programmers don't live the regular social life. They have their moments and know how to catch their fun but their best days are usually in front of a note pad or computer, thinking of how to make a software or machines work.

I don't know it all but with what I know, at age 40, OP had better stick to something lite....
you are right. the person you quoted must have been so lucky. Like me now, i want to go on toruism to many states in Nigeria but work won't let me. It is not easy to be a coder, for you to earn higher you need to learn more skills which tells on your social life. i just don't want to be a killjoy but the OP should just forget it, except he want to learn for fun o

That's your problem then.. Cuz my and my fellow tech friends, we still ball and some have stable relationships.

If you choose to prioritize programming over your relationship, you're doing yourself. There should be a balance. You just don't know how to do it
You are right though..over time when you have a solid footing then you can easily socialize..I like the fact that you are able to blend the two together though, not everyone are able to do that if we are going to be honest. wink

what is this?? So are you telling me that to build a CRUD functional web app you need to know linear algebra??
It's not about math, it's about thinking logically, and well that comes over time.

Whoever the OP is, yes there are some areas you might consider delving into that will require Math of some sort, but that could always be learnt. The most important thing is that you learn to think logically and analytically.

It was one of the languages used not the main language used. C++ is the defactor language of game development and embedded systems. Nothing can change that. The dude called JavaScript a new shiny language whereas it came out the same time with java in 1995 and is being used even in machine learning and to make desktop applications. JavaScript can make mobile apps with react native. Can make desktop applications with electron can be used in machine learning with tensorflowjs. Can be used in the back end with nodejs. It has come far and it's just growing tremendously.

adonainana:
Let the legal battle begin,

But the thing is FBI already hacked his instagram, gmail, and i cloud accounts based on the affidavit the FBI agent first submitted

Google and Gmail are both American companies, they easily snitch on you and dont tell you to change your password or anything so in your end you just keep logging in and logging out like nothing is happening.

Also his phone records appeared to have been compromised

Even the affidavit the FBI guy submitted had his passport in it ( they could only get that from going into somewhere private in your email )

Then from his bank accounts, large transfers would have been deposited into it someway somehow.

Then the large cash found on him ( any amount more than £10,000 is money laundering on the spot )

The only evidence they probably would tell the jury probably be based on either a conspiracy to defraud.

Based on my experience there wont be much oral evidence, just documentary evidence from the big tech companies saying what was going on in his email accounts and his bank accounts

Conviction easy to secure on this alone without anyone testifying to say he defrauded them and vice versa

Most things the jury would see would just be reports of him discussing wire transfers and how it eventually landed in his account.

Normally the only way to defend a case like this is to argue perhaps a bank learnt you the money or you had a very rich portfolio to start with.

If huspuppi lawyer is smart, he can always start a defence all the tech reports here and there had nothing to do with his client and perhaps a blackmail by the prosecution to make his client pay for unexplained losses elsewhere.

He could also use jusridiction, hush was always in dubai all the time, so hence no connection.

But the hush guy too no go school so im sure he wont be able to even communicate his defence to his lawyer, all he was busy doing was stealing money and buying gucci up and down.

What a pity

EducationReasons Why You Should Get Serious With Social Media Marketing by cbrass(op): 5:51pm On Jun 18, 2020
How Well Are You Using Social Media Marketing? It Will Do Your Brand So Much Good.

Social Media Marketing is the use of social media platforms to connect with your customers and clients (audience) in the form of a community to build your brand. Your business engagement with your community via this medium will create quality awareness, drive good traffic to your website and increase sales, in a way that is structured and consistent. In fact, “Statistics reveal that 78% of shoppers trust the advice of folks that they know. Only 14% trust advertisers. These figures show precisely how important proper social media marketing would be to the advertising industry”

For SMM to be effective, you will need to develop a focused strategy to drive your content and audience management. This involves designing and posting great content on your social media profiles, listening to and engaging your followers, analyzing your results, and running advertising campaigns to drive specific goals and objectives.

BusinessCppl Sme Consulting by cbrass(op): 11:19am On Jun 17, 2020
PPL SME Support Proposition and SMEs are a great match…

SMEs need advice like a house on fire needs water. When the pressure of managing businesses and staying afloat hits, many such businesses are overwhelmed and do not really have the resources to deal with such situations. To ensure they do not crumble under the pressure, the services of an experienced consultant becomes invaluable.

SMEs concern themselves with core production of the products or services they want to sell or deliver. They never really bargain for all the other business needs that will arise to support what they put out in the market-Marketing, HR, financial advice, ICT services, business plan writing amongst others. Navigating through their requirements can be daunting because they are swimming in unfamiliar waters. Without appreciable knowledge of the disciplines involved, they make poor choices, bad decisions, usually around cost, when there could be other considerations they do not know about. It becomes a never-ending cycle of short sprints that do not elevate the organization strategically. Most of the time this fire brigade approach amounts to plugging holes and not building new roads.

The CPPL SME Support Team is set up to work with this caliber of businesses on a subscription/retainership basis. This ensures that they do not run their business bearing prohibiting overheads from employing people to carry out these functions. They need the expertise but do not have to bear the full cost of hiring. That is what the CPPL SME Support Team brings to the table- expertise at affordable costs that enable business growth and profitability.

How do we determine value for the client?

We analyze the real issues with the client and come up with several possible options to resolve them. Generally, the client makes ballpark estimates of how these options add up financially, we take it a notch higher to look at the qualitative results of each of the options. Together, we come up with a workable solution whilst keeping in mind the need for them to make profit.

How will progress be measured?

Every discipline has its own Key Performance Indicators. We will agree with the client on clear objectives and the time required to achieve them. In the end, it is not about the inputs, it’s about the outputs. The Client does not need to concern himself with the details of how we deliver. We just do. We would use automated scorekeeping everyone has access to, for example, a web-based marketing dashboard anyone can check any time.

How often shall we meet?

In the first few months, we meet weekly in-person with the client. However, once the project is up and running, the meetings would be formally scheduled fortnightly. Of course we recognize that this is subject to the needs of each client. Technology makes it possible for constant communication despite being in different locations.

How are the interventions planned?

During the meetings, we assess progress and discuss future interventions. We then develop a schedule that would clearly state tasks/ expected milestones and timeframes distributed between CPPL and our client. This would also include any third party collaborators.

Our Team:

We are made up of very skilled and experienced professionals who understand business analysis, what motivates consumers and how to put strategies in place to improve business.

We are able to balance both strategy and execution to ensure that value is created in a manner that is consistent and sustainable.

We listen and ensure that what is to be done is driven by a good understanding of the issues our clients are trying to deal with. A good understanding and application of the concept of the 5Cs of business (Company, Customer, Competition, Collaborators and Climate) are some of our assets.

Our solutions include:

It is not so hard to build though it somehow complex which can still mean that it is hard cheesy

I once thought of doing something like this but where I got discouraged was the finance aspect. You will really need so much money to build a server. If you say that u will use third party Email API to send emails you will close shop within a week because they will be charging you. So it is an effort in futility.

ProgrammingWhy Are Nigerians In Diaspora This Stingy For Godsake by cbrass(op): 5:50pm On May 31, 2020
There is something i have noticed about Clients especially in the US and UK.
They feel like they are helping you by giving you jobs to do , and they also think you should just accept whatever peanuts they throw at you.
When you tell them that you can't accept the amount they want to pay for the Application you want to build for them , they start to tell you how there are so many software engineers in the US and why they just feel like giving back to Naija by employing you.
Clients back home pay better even with all the economic situations we are facing here. cheesy cheesy
