Pastor Olu T: Bro the fact that it is being abused does not change the fact that everyone in the church should speak in tongues. True that speaking in tongues does not guarantee ur salvation, bt its an evidence that u have been baptized by the HolyGhost.

The baptism of the HolyGhost is service in the Christendom n every Christian is supposed to serve. The Holy Spirit comes within n upon us, it comes inside of us n bear fruit of the spirit as found in Galatian 5:22-23 to make us like Christ. And He also comes upon us as the baptism of the spirit or whichever name u call it, granting us the gift of the spirit as found 1Corinthians 12 to make us vessels in his vineyard. Without the baptism of the spirit we cant serve as we ought to, though this does not in anyway means we are not good Christian, bt we will struggle in our service n walk with God.

So from the scriptures, everyone is meant to speak in tongues though not everyone does, everyone is supposed to lead overcoming lives in Christ, bt not every does. And so many things that everyone is supposed to bt not everyone does.

If I get you right are you saying anyone can speak in tongues even without being saved?

What some christians don't know is that speaking in tongue is not so cheap. Some people are not Born again and they just want to speak in tongues, its not possible.
One must have had the experience of salvation and further sanctified before you can receive the baptism of the holy spirit that will make you speak in a new tongue and it won't be a strange tongue sef that no one arround won't be able to interpret.

An old woman that hasn't ever spoken English in her life spoke fluent english language when she received the baptism of the holy spirit and people arround heard her and glorified God
