LOL. This is quite simple, as a techie, you can't say no to the possibilities of technology. Things that were impossible in the 60's are now a child's play. Don't underestimate technology.
As long as the intelligence is artificial then I rest my case
Programming › Re: Why I Will Not Hire A One-man Developer Again by cbrass(m): 11:47pm On Dec 29, 2017
whaithee:
Which was why we took time to document what we wanted, with screenshots. The communication was clear enough, even for a budding developer. I was once a web developer. In fact at some point I had to wonder if they actually read the documentation because we had to keep repeating what was clearly stated there.

If I reconsider, I'll contact you.

Thanks
Am sorry you got involved with a complete quack, from the look of things he may not even know jack and commission the project to a very cheaper developer who are often quacks too. Its rare to see clients that will give you detailed documentations and for you to have gone to the extent of giving him a full documentation and he still couldn't deliver shows he is not a developer. You don't just have to give up like that, most "structured" companies will charge you so high and may still outsource your job to folks like us here on Nairaland, all I will advice next time is observe during discussions if the person is truly a programmer or just a business man then have a timeline for both you and the guy or company, and makesure it is followed religiously

The answer to your question is No! Artificial intelligence is coming strong, once a machine can reproduce itself(which is the craziest feat), I'm pretty sure applications would write other applications and everything will become automated, tending to the end of the human race.
Are you a tech guy at all... , cos I doubt it with this you just wrote sad
Programming › Re: Will There Still Be A Need For Programmers In The Future? by cbrass(m): 11:26pm On Dec 29, 2017
AntiWailer:
No be programmers go write the application that will write the program ?

grin grin grin grin

When it comes to Bespoke applications tailored to specific needs, a programmer would be definitely needed to make that happen.

The effort required to get things done might be less but doubting if a programmer is needed is laughable.

They would be needed like anything. grin
Don't mind them, one guy like that said something similar at work, though he is not a programmer sha. I was just looking at him cheesy
