Visa approved for my wife and I. My son's (2 years old) passport still pending. When I was preparing for the process, that was when it was difficult to get Nigerian passports. So I used my Son's USA passport to apply. I am guessing this is the reason for the delay (its 13 days now). I submitted all the required documents for a minor; birth certificate, letter of consent signed by his mom and I, POF in my name etc.

I know it will come out sha.

I also used a foreign passport for minor IOM and plan to use it for visa application soon. Meanwhile has anyone else done this @ boldened? Please share your experiences.

It's application for CAS. I used BSc HND and ND certs and all the transcripts for the admission. BSc, passport and transcript have SHADE. while hnd, ND and Waec and their transcripts have SADE. Note also pls, POF is SHADE. and i am kinda sure all those certs would be stated in my CAS as the sch specifically requested for the ND's transcripts when i didnt send send it initially b4 i was offered admssion.

No need worrying when they haven't even asked you to provide them. They probably asked to see why you started your BSc at a certain level or something.
Just wait until your CAS is issued. If you have an offer and a CAS, understand that UKVI isn't trying to rescind your admission. If any of the ones with that conflicting name is stated on the CAS, support it with an affidavit. Just relax

I think you're good to go if you have a received a CAS despite all that. Once CAS and passport match, use the exact one on those 2 docs for your visa application.
Submit any doc stated on your CAS just as provided to the uni.

Yup, one can't enter until a month to start date. People remember to check before you book your tickets please. UKBA is strict with that.

They will consider it cos the option is there too, my wife used double shield too.. So you're good to go.

When they get there, they will find out.
The important thing is that where xray cannot be conducted because of pregnancy, they will not be precluded from being examined via a safer alternative.

Lol. I am unsure whether they do xray for pregnant women at all. Someone just mentioned his wife did during her 1st trimester (ends after wk 16). But to answer your question, where xray is deemed unsafe, the applicant will definitely still be tested by another form of examination.

It's appalling the kind of system we have in Nigeria. You have scorched the whole neco office without help. Tell me any sane person will allow his or her kids to grow up in this wicked and tough system. My brother, just do your best do ielts if no way, or tell them to give you something to back up your certificate if your UK school will allow it, Same thing UNiLAG refused to change my DOB which I begged. Saying they don't alter information on the transcripts especially age. Thank God for helping me out. When I think about the whole Nigeria system it makes me cry I tell you. A friend in uk bought a book on IT after reading for a month he felt like returning it back, he returned it back unscratched, he got his money back, but that cannot happen in Ngeria,Everything is just difficult. I am not even schooling abroad because of money but for a sane mind, a good system that works, where basic things are available for my kids and myself,you don't need to pray and fast. Oh really? All the preggos at my interview were told no xray. They announced like 1m times and still confirmed from all ladies as they approached..."hope you're not pregnant"

Hmm .. not connecting ? Or fully booked and so dates are not clickable? If the former, keep trying. Meanwhile, you can send them a mail stating the problem.
Best bet if you're in Lagos or Abuja is to go to the office physically to make this complaint and try to get an early date if you're running out of time.

Lastly, to the best of my knowledge pregnant women won't do xray. They will be examined some other way. Unsure if it's sputum...others can help answer this part

Please read before you reply. No one said some top schools don't ask for deposit. The point is that if a deposit is not required, it DOES NOT affect CAS issuance.

Also read where I stated "for context", to let the person know that it wasn't done by a school desperate to fill spaces. So any school can do it. Read to understand.

This is incorrect. I got an offer from a uni that doesn't request for deposit. They gave me my CAS after I filled the CAS questionnaire.
For context, TOP uni so* you know it's not like they are desperately looking for students.

Please print a new one for the embassy a few days later or when ready to apply. That 28th day one doesn't satisfy the 28days requirement.

Ordinarily, your BSc is the main doc. However, if the school would normally accept NECO as evidence of English, in your case you will have to do IELTS acad if they don't accept the NECO without the last name. If it is a very top school that insists on IELTS Acad, NECO won't even come up at all.

please guys, for university of Southampton, I was sent the cas application form, I wasn't ask to pay any deposit or attach POF but in the form, their is a part where they ask tuition fee and amount paid, so I left it blank. on the base which was marked red, I was ask to upload my passport page, unconditional offer letter and the CAS application. I left the tuition part blank. hope it won't affect the approval or sending of CAS? also, I want to open a new account to put fund for the 28days hope it won't affect anything if I print the statement?

If they didn't ask you to pay anything, non-payment can't affect CAS issuance. On the account, once it stays for 28days you're good to go...better to do 29 or 30 IMO though but that's just me.

I have been busy and cannot respond to everyone on this issue. Many thanks to those who are genuinely interested in helping and those who are not.

So, I've had a meeting with the school immigration adviser and they advise that I should go for an administrative review but not until I asked UKVI for the document(s) that they deem not genuine. The representative also mentioned that she has never seen any refusal letter where the reason for refusal is omitted. Even though it may be pointing towards POF but better not to jump into conclusion as any document could render the POF inadmissible, such as a marriage certificate etc. Because it is inconclusive and they cannot categorically say this particular document is what they have a problem with, there is a need for me to ask them for further information. I was give some things to aid in my request and all. The school is also going to come in at some point if the request is taken too long. Anyway, I will update you guys once I have further information to provide.
