Please house, I have a question.
The proof of fund I used for CAS was 8.9 million and I have withdrawn 500k from it but I paid my tuition fees in full and only need to show maintenance which is £9207. I intend to use 1.2 million from the remaining 8.4million in my POF to fund my dollar card for visa, ihs and other fees. I'll be left with 7.2 million.
Can I show this 7.2 million as POF for visa application since I need to show only £9207 or should I show the remaining 8.4 million as POF and get funds for my dollar card from another source?
Can I receive money in this my account with 8.4 million to fund my dollar card will maintaining at least 8 million to show as POF?

Please, your advice is needed.

If you have paid your tuition and it's reflected on your CAS, all you need is a minimum of 9207GBP which the NGN7.2m should cover (use oanda). However, if you want it to be well over the minimum, you can get the dollar card funds from another source.
Last Q- answer is Yes. It can be more than minimum POF amount required, but not less.

It does seem like the figures of the account were altered or errors in figures of the account . This is why they ask that you calculate your account statement yourself to make sure it tallies . Also if you use an agent , be careful that these people don’t falsify documents for you. It’s earned a lot of people bans because some of these agents want to use the Nigerian shortcut mentality thinking they can by pass the UKVI.

Sighh. Guys can we please ask ourselves questions here or via emails (for privacy) about anything we are unsure about. Most agents only want their fees and don't care that much. Sad to get denied and banned when someone here could've advised differently. Plus all the money spent.

An account ''prepare'' specifically for visa application by an agent or bank insider just to present for POF

Wow. Thanks for the explanation. I've even heard of peopls using loans backed with consent letters but never this. It is well.

I don't want to judge but it seems the bank statement was altered. It is evident that UKVI will always verify bank statements. I don't know for other docs but that bank statement verification is a must.

I'm so confused by the word "altered". Bank statement can be altered? That's crazy. Even if that's not the case with the recent refusal, please anyone thinking of such should stop now...like immediately. They will investigate. It's better to wait till January or next Sept than to get hit with a 10yr ban. Lose-lose

1.Ok, are you absolutely sure that the bank statement was not altered? It could be original bank statement gotten from the bank but the figures are altered...i mean built-accout''.

2.Did you withdraw the money after application?

@justwise please what is a "built account". Please anyone who knows should explain. Thanks

Good day everyone
I applied to University of Hull last month and the part of "referee". I put my former HOD's contact cus I didn't get his letter on time and i didnt want time to pass. When I logged in , they said I had to upload a letter but I can't find a place to upload it. I've been searching for weeks now. I've sent over 20 messages to the admission office but I haven't gotten any replies from them
Any suggestions please

I see someone has given you good suggestions. I just want to add that sending multiple mails from the same email account may push your emails further down the waiting line. Imagine that they are about to open mails of July 17 and you send one today...the multiple mails from your account will move up to July 20 with your newest mail on the subject and lose the initial spot. I would've sent it as an attachment siiince grin

Please ,my fellow naira Landers ,

My passport has expired and I have applied for a new one which would be out in 3/4 weeks. Is it possible to have the TB test done with my old passport while I wait for my new passport?
I am trying to meet up the September calendar hence the rush.

From posts I've read here, you can. Your new passport will carry the most recent expired passport number anyway, so you have nothing to worry about.

yes, you can combine up to 3 accounts I think

I don't think there is a limit on the number of accounts you can use.

Another issue is that they don't want to raise any flags by moving a large sum to their personal accounts.

Also, can I combine 2 accounts? Or does it have to be 1?

Yeah you can use multiple accounts.
So gather all the permitted personal accounts (yours/ your parents) containing funds which will add up to the required sum and which satisfy the 28 day rule. Then you're good to go. Otherwise move to yours and start counting now. Don't use corporate account.

Yeah some schools won't waive it, but there are quite a number that will.

I wrote the IELTS once and scored 7.5. I couldn't practice much because of the nature of my job. But the Exam is just like a walk in the pack. All you have to do is practice very well

Sorry meant to quote @pooozeee
GT 8.5
Acad 8.5
Depends on your ability. Some people need to just see how the questions are. Others need to practise for weeks...or months. When you google and see the patterns, you'll know if you can just book next earliest date or if it's something you need some time to prepare for.
In my own case, I booked next available and didn't practise because it was urgent and also, that's my area.

Thanks for the heads up. I just submitted an application to U of G.

Northumbria seems to be asking for IELTS. I am not doing that.

Kent? Reading? I don't know your budget. I'm not going there but the response rate when I applied was really good and i think deposit is between 1 and 2k.

2. Yes
3. Yes

I believe No 2 is incorrect. The answer is NO. You shouldn't submit your visa application before your POF is ready. Your 28 days should be complete before the date of visa application/ submission. That's what's used not biometrics date.

Hello house. So I got a conditional offer for geographical information system from University of leicester..the conditions is I provide a second reference letter. Done that. But then there was these other condition "You must ensure you pay the University a minimum of 50% of your tuition fees (or provide evidence of sponsorship or loan) by the 3rd September 2021. Please be aware that bank transfers can take up to 10 working days to be received and processed." My tuition is 13500 pounds. I honestly don't know how to go about that other condition pls help out. My question is must I fulfil it or I can ignore it and pursue my visa application and pay when I get there. Can not paying affect my visa applications? Pls help thanks.

My first question is: is that 50% a condition to be satisfied for your offer to become unconditional? If yes, without paying it your offer won't be made unconditional and you wont get a CAS which you need for your visa application. However, if it doesn't affect your unconditional offer/CAS issuance and is just the enrolment or 1st instalment deadline, it won't affect your visa if you apply before that date as you would not yet be in default (the answer to your question). You will also need to consider entry before the default date because if you attempt entry after that date and have not paid, that's a problem. This begs another question...when is your start date? Relevant because you can't enter until a month to start date.
Lastly and most importantly, assuming you can get the visa and enter, will you be able to pay by Sept 3rd?

Good evening everyone... My story would be a bit long
To start with, I don't even have a passport because I never thought I could even have a chance to leave this country...Thank God recently I got in touch with my father's elder brother that lives in U.K, that I never knew before or even about his existence (my dad died when I was still in primary school). Thanks be to God, he has been helping my mum and I financially.

I am a graduate of Public Administration (2:1). He has tried to use his contact in Nigeria to get me a job but all to know avail. All these while, I never showed any interest of coming to UK (I don't want to be too forward)... So yesterday, we got talking, he asked me if I am interested in coming over, which I told him yes... So he told me, the easiest way to come in here legally is through school... So he suggested me coming for my M.sc

So my questions are these

How easy is it to get admission to a school over there
What course and university would you advise I apply
How am I to go about the admission application process (though he said something about September and January admission)
Generally, what do I need to know (I have gone through this thread but I am confused with so many things here..) I would be glad if someone can explain some things I just need to know...

I have no idea how all these visa things work... I never believed I could ever have a chance to leave the country reason why I never bothered myself to research about these stuffs.

Thank you very much.

You have a 2:1 so many schools (minus Oxbridge and some others which have closed for 2021 and/ or don't have Jan start) should give you an offer (hoping they haven't reached their intake limit too). Just have a good personal statement.
If it's for 2021, Kent and Reading responded to me quickly. Check pages 612 to 615 of this thread... someone listed schools that respond quickly. Google will also help with other schools that resume Oct 2021 and those with Jan start. The ones I know personally that have Jan start...Aberdeen, Scotland & Reading England...specifying in case you don't want Scotland.lol
Course: Has to be something you are interested in. gurus here may also help with lucrative career paths and related courses you can get with your degree.

There’s a general database & then there’s the nhs. The Uk can only ascertain the nhs one hence why it’s those who receive both doses there that are exempt

The type of vaccine is not the issue, the vaccine in Nigeria is Oxford/Astrazena and it is also being administered in the UK, the issue is about people vaccinated through the NHS. NHS has a data base for people vaccinated in the UK, and that can be verified. They also carry the NHS covid pass, which airlines are required to check. So its about being vaccinated in the Uk and not the variant in Nigeria .

Hmmmnn...
Isn't there a database for Nigerians too? There's a software they use...at least i was captured, my fingerprints taken and it was uploaded. Then a QR code generated which was stuck on a card with the explanation that when scanned, my identity will be verified.
This is not to suggest that those who took in Nigeria will quarantine or not quarantine though...just contributing.

Hi guys ....I have gotten 4 offers from UK schools

University of Dundee Scotland
University of south Wales
University of sunderland
University of Huddersfield

But I am still waiting to hear from the school I prefer (Teesside University), this is because I know someone who stays around there so accomodation is kinda sorted.

I see myself doing so rush work and last minute preps as September done almost reach ... please I need advice on what things I need to put in place while I wait and what is minimum time I can use to make it to the UK in September (all things being equal)

PS: Incase I don't get an offer from Teesside University, then University of sunderland will be my next option

Why not Dundee if I may ask. It's a really good school.
