It's more of a practical thing than theory,
I don't know why traders always like to target the edge of the DD
It's quite simple to beat though, just trade at most 1.5% of trade, worst comes to worst, the trade would go 3%.
1% a day profit everyday is about 20% in a month.

I don't even risk up to 1% per trade sef.

So all these DD talk is just greed talk,
Limit your exposure to at most 1.5% on all open trades, you should be fine.

Money wein you know as you struggle get am, you no go humble and get it right.

Some people trade fx like their life is on a countdown, like if they don't make it within certain period that they will die or something

Don't risk more than the required daily DD at a time. If all your open trades at a given time is at 3% maximum, I don't see how u will violate 5% daily DD. Either in equity or balance

This is not always the case. You can still hit maximum daily DD.

From your example, if my RR is 1:2, and the combination of my trades are 5.5% up. If the trades go back to break even or even a little above break even, you could lose the account.

Apart from spread, the value of a pip matters too.

E.G for Eur/Usd, the pip value is $0.1 for a micro lot (0.01 lot size). While the pip value for a micro lot of Eur/Gbp is $0.14.

But the rule is in place so that if you hit your target in the first few trades, you won't just reduce your lot size to 0.01.. (completing the minimum trading days)

If you use less, you would not be able to advantage to the next stage..

This is simple, follow the steps:
1. Open your charts showing the period you won, do as if you were to take those trades again, look at the ones you traded and those you avoided. Check If you followed your rules of entry and exit for those trades in that period....rejoice
But if those trades never tallied with your standard entry and exit, bro, forget about trading for prop firm.

2. Now open your charts for the 2nd month you lost, check if you did follow your rules and still lost...If yes, rejoice BUT try few more trials with them adjusting your lot size this time.
If you never followed your rules, and you lost the account, rejoice again, cos you have not tested yourself yet...try more trials with them BUT this time to test your rules.

Sincerely, I never for once did any prop trial before jumping into it. When intending prop traders ask me about the content of the trial - I just don't know. This means you can actually figure out if you can win it or not if you have already defined yourself in the 3 critical areas: 1. Working trading strategy/style 2. Solid Risk/money management 3. Clean psychology.

When those 3 elements are not yet in place, get them solid first even before doing the trial......Huh, you yourself will know if you have them settled already...

I think that's one of the objectives (if not the main) the prop firms are looking for in prospective funded traders: CONSISTENCY. Even if it's 2% profit monthly target.

Check the pix, the only thing left to be met is the minimum trading days = 10. I met the goal in 1day, I need to wait 9 more days before it changes to success & I get moved to verification stage.

Please beware of TCF consistency rule...

UJ is a perfect pair to trade, its swing is very smooth, less spikes or fainting; I stopped trading it only because I found out that its correlation with gold was very high in majority of my trades, seemed as if gold was always controlling it. So I just focus on gold and some others.

My advise on what two pairs to select from those 4: merge both your trading strategy and style to previous charts and backtest, see which one gives steady outcome and high chance, then select.

I like that UJ pair especially when the monthly time frame is in trend.

I abandoned GJ, GU, Gold, Oil till say Friday or Monday, Opened EU, GU, EA and still no trades to be taken until say Friday or Monday, so I opened US30 to play with am small, I found a trade showed up, so I longed it and now I'm enjoying some good pips from the US30 (I will share the chart soon).

Avoiding range is one of the best ways of making money....
