But are you not curious that since 1976, over 20 yrs nw, d virus was nt such a plague until now? Why have we not heard of such massive deaths arising from the virus until recently? Knw that those scientists do research, just as they pick plants that could be useful to man and develop it, that's how they pick up such organisms and harness them for reasons best known to them. If ebola was actually a problem since 1976, then there wlda bin a vaccine already and media campaign wld av been more proactive since then.

The medicine you take for cold deals only with the symptoms...it doesn't clear the coronavirus that causes the common cold...because the virus is self limiting.

Another example....Diarrhoea.

One of the causes of diarrhoea is a virus called Rotavirus. Again it is self limiting....we treat you with antibiotics so that we can prevent bacteria from taking advantage of the sufferer's weak body.

Another example Chickenpox.

Chicken pox is caused by a virus.In most people...it is self limitng....and confers immunity once you recover....you will never catch chicken pox again. There is a cure...but it is for Immmuno suppressed Sufferers Only.

And as for that ebola serum.....don't put your hopes in it. Research done in animals shows that the serum may delay the symptoms....but may not save the life of the patient. Research also shows that if your body's immune system responds a certain way to Ebola....you will survive the illness.

Saying that bitter-kola cures EVD and emphasizing that it is natural and has no side-effects or over-dose is simply wishful-thinking and playing on Africans' ignorance and gullibility! It is an unproven statement, and hence dangerous to the public! It's sinful to mislead people and offer false hope (all because of monetary gain) especially in deadly situations as this!

Liberia, presently suffering over a hundred deaths from this disease has Her Health Ministry warn, "calling on the public to report anyone or group of people administering vaccines supposedly for the prevention of Ebola or any form of drug or tablets, herbs or injection in the communities to the nearest police station" and "anyone caught administering fake vaccine or tablets and even spreading wrong information on the Ebola disease would face prosecution."

Don't let any unproven information make you careless. Protect yourself.

Well, do not blame the Nigerian pharmacist that did the kola research. He's been working on that experiment since 1989 and made that report in 1999. He never claimed that the kola-based therapy worked on animals or humans but that it showed promising signs of preventing ebola virus growth in vitro, ie under controlled lab test tube conditions. I only blame we Africans for reading the headline of a report fished out from fifteen years ago and running our mouths and social media-ready fingers , spreading false news that kola can cure the disease....
