Simba757: Nigeria for the first time became Africa's largest economy and the deadliest strain of ebola appeared in west africa for the first time!Oh , come on.... This crap is getting old, man |
On this note, I hereby hang my figurative and vindicated boots on this issue. It was intriguing while it lasted, Hehehe... zmapp and tkm-ebola, products of years of research and tedious studies were proposed by the West, Favipiravir was proposed by Tech Giant, Fujifilm. We presented saline water and moonshine "nano silver" as our solution.... Okay ooo... Hehehe... |
odimbannamdi: To be honest, a few days ago, i was one of the many Nigerians who erroneously believed that Nanosilver was a drug invented by we, Nigerians, to cure Ebola.Whoa,,,, we got a new "convert" here.. Welcome back to reality. We've got diddly squat in R & D achievements in this clime. |
amiskurie: Someone must be crazy in the head concerning the title of this threadSource pls.... And Nigeria was never mentioned in the article. The ebola ish has affected regional trade and sundry biz, there's no need being in denial of that. |
PassingShot: I don't think so. Even the Health Minister does not acknowledge the suspected cases when his Assistant said “This clarification follows reports of 5 new cases in Lagos State. This should be disregarded please.“This clarification follows reports of 5 new cases in Lagos State. This should be disregarded please.“The Minister of Health reiterates that he has the sole authority to announce confirmed cases of disease epidemics in Nigeria.“The minister reassures Nigerians that any new confirmed case of EVD in Nigeria will be announced by his office promptly.“ |
Well, there's a whole lot of difference between SUSPECTED case and a CONFIRMED case... It's more of a problem of interpretation by the press. The medical facility can announce SUSPECTED cases, but the minister of health can and should only announce it when they are laboratory CONFIRMED to be positive. |
nextstep: You're right, it's a fatal and brief disease. However there is a difference: antimalarial drugs (like quinine from cinchona tree bark) have been demonstrated to work against malaria by interfering with the production of nucleic acids used by the falciparum parasite. Nanosilver, on the other hand, are tiny bits of metal shavings that are best known for coating surfaces to inhibit the growth of bacteria. If nanosilver worked at all on any kind of virus, I would heartily recommend it for a limited trial.Brilliant.... Bravo. I hope that those Obama haters in naija are aware that CDC & WHO officials are on ground in Lagos monitoring and giving valuable advice on the situation.... |
rapmike: He is an American I should guess, and judging from the rather reluctant way they behaved towards this Ebola issue in Nigeria, I have a feeling that they (Or some people related to them) Have something to do with this. Just a thought tho.Same way one buffoon could allege that the Lagos state govt purposely sent that nurse to enugu to further spread the disease.... Does it make sense? |
abu12: What happen to naosilver or the DAAB2 or what ever they call it? Is there no drug yet for Ebola? This govt is full of lies.On the nature of treatment being accorded Ebola virus disease patients, Idris explained that there was no specific treatment per se. “We treat the patients based on the presentation. For instance, if the patient shows symptoms of diarrhoea, he or she has to be treated with electrolyte and others. If the person shows signs of pain, he or she will be given pain-relieving drugs. We have enough drugs to take care of them. “If they require intensive care, we will do that. This is part of the equipment that has been brought in. They will be provided with such.” www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/ebola-latest-3-new-cases-4-victims-discharged/ |
Dreambeat: I don't think the Minister of Health mentioned the name of the doctor that was discharged, the press got it wrong not the minister. RIP to a fallen hero.Yeah, the press have complicated matters a lot... The other time, the minister of health announced that a Nigerian donated some drugs (nano "trash"silver) to treat ebola. The press reported that Nigeria has developed a trial drug for ebola (when in reality he bought it from an American "alternative therapy" exponent)... |
Omadachi: Let's continue to secretly use our nano silver to cure our citizens.USA are on their own.Naija for life.On the nature of treatment being accorded Ebola virus disease patients, Idris explained that there was no specific treatment per se. “We treat the patients based on the presentation. For instance, if the patient shows symptoms of diarrhoea, he or she has to be treated with electrolyte and others. If the person shows signs of pain, he or she will be given pain-relieving drugs. Toks2008: The question is "which treatment was administered"?On the nature of treatment being accorded Ebola virus disease patients, Idris explained that there was no specific treatment per se. “We treat the patients based on the presentation. GenBuhari: So America has all patents for Ebola for what exactly?Did you actually go through link I sent? or you didn't just understand it..... |
GenBuhari: Some say USA has the patent on Ebola. You could go through these patent applications and see the efforts in combating ebola so far... NB: I didn't see any application for "ebola virus" itself. www.freepatentsonline.com/result.html?sort=relevance&srch=top&query_txt=ebola&submit=&patents=on |
Maximus85: Something is wrong. They said Sawyer brought the virus into Nigeria and that those tested positive to the virus were those that had direct contact with sawyer. If this woman can't be linked to those with primary contact to sawyer, then, there's a mischievous angle to this. Abeg I make sense? She was going for cancer treatment in India. But the authorities had to carry out further investigation to rule out ebola completely... Talking of leaving no stones unturned. |
Nairalandi: why she come die ni...abi zmap no de UAEYou didn't read the details, right?... Talk true. |
soludo93: They said that our nano silver is a pesticide. They are congratulating us for the impact of the same drug they despised. If we Africans can look within for solutions to our challenges, the westerners are bound to depend on us for their survival."our" nano silver?... Read more, man.. That scam cocktail wasn't used. Treatment of patients On the nature of treatment being accorded Ebola virus disease patients, Idris explained that there was no specific treatment per se. “We treat the patients based on the presentation. For instance, if the patient shows symptoms of diarrhoea, he or she has to be treated with electrolyte and others. If the person shows signs of pain, he or she will be given pain-relieving drugs. jcccccc: They said a Nigerian living in Canada produced it.Who said?? You've seen the video of the producer of the cocktail, and you're still believing in hearsay.... Some Nigerian dude bought the silver solution From the USA and sent to the minister. The FDA had to.clamp down on those making the false claims of ebola cure in their country. They warned us accordingly. |
jcccccc: What i am saying is, are Africans imbeciles or something,The "drug" is not our own. It's being produced by an American who is known to have made controversial and outright false claims of natural remedies. She's gotta get approval from FDA before she can export such substances with such claims of such claims. |
I just realised the so called "inventor" Dr. Laibow Rima is a controversial high-octane conspiracy theorist with a litany of questionable medical claims... She's a fraud, case closed! |
The US air force declassified a nano silver experiment document in 2009. It seemed to inhibit the growth of the virus in the lab, just like the kola extracts by Maurice iwu.... But that's just it. That a particular chemical seems to work in a test tube doesn't mean that it will work on an infected animal or human. She wants to Use a cheap generic antiseptic to gain fame... Too late, ma'am. The ebola patients being released have been declared to be responding to treatment for over a week now. Go get approval from the FDA before you can make such claims. And where are the details of human trials carried out in the other African countries as she claims?? The best chances of survival of ebola is gotten from early detection, quarantine, aggressive treatment of symptoms as they show up and intra venous fluid application... With a couple of immune boosters and anti biotics. That's exactly how hundreds of victims have survived it in west Africa. Shove your cheap knock-off cocktail up your......... |
Onegai: I don't believe this woman. She said due to scientific reasons she can't state now, this Nano Silver was not released to the public. What are the reasons? When Tekmira had issues with their drug and FDA, they publicly announced it and even followed up by announcing FDA's decision to allow limitied testing on healthy humans. So why is Nano silver's own story so different? |
Cool.... Three more patients awaiting their fate.... Keep fighting, comrades.. Y'all shall survive it. |
VivaLaFrans: I knew it related to the US. But it sounds like a sacred word of the Illuminati.Hehehe Hehehe hehehe hehehe hehehe hehehe!!!!! |
dady12: US and WHO are working together to make sure african can never succeed cos they know we are exceptional and we can never bow down to them, they force us into gay marriage,we say no,chibok girls kidnapp, they ask of oil for support we said no,now ebola, our nigerian born US bring nano silber as ebola cure ,they said it is pesticide because they want to promote their product to africa and later ask for our oil for exchange if we.need more.dose.now our phamacies ve bring another one,the west are ready to say this one is acidic to scare people cos they hate anything that come from africa.God will judge them and i beleive the end of ebola news on front page is nearNano silver is neither invented by a Nigerian nor an ebola cure. ... It's as good as buying any random anti biotics at the nearest pharmacy to fight ebola. In other words, it's an age-long scam "cure-all" supplement in the western world. |
deavicky: everythingYeah, including inventing the internet you're venting your misguided annoyance in, the Operating system of the gadget you're using and virtually all the cartoons , blockbuster movies and general entertainment you're enjoying. |
The man get mind sha.... Claims to have a cure for dengue fever (Which has no cure, but has a very low mortality rate.. Treatment of acute dengue is supportive, using either oral or intravenous rehydration for mild or moderate disease, and intravenous fluids and blood transfusion for more severe cases. www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengue_fever) Secondly, he claims that the SAME drug can also be used for ebola which is also a viral hemorrhagic fever but of a very different genus. Meaning that he's merely speculating that the drug may work for ebola as well. Two very bold claims I must say.... Well, nafdac will run the necessary clinical tests and give us a feedback soon. |
phreakabit: Ahh. . . Makes sense. But still kinda dodgy. Why didn't they ask him to go through the appropriate means and designated body?If one could see the details of the reply mail, then we can know the detailed response from WHO. |
ejihand1: For your information, he's a pharmacist not a medical doctor.He's got a PhD... He's a Doctor. |
