sarzwizard: you who be u castrated zombieLol... But why castrate a zombie, I mean, what's the point? |
fruityjojo: Hypocritee is it only 1 gal u have ever dated in your life & wats so tender abt a 23yrs old man!I wonder ooo... Even fresh secondary school graduates call him a "small" boy too... Dude was born in 1989 (according to Sound city profile), much older than many nairalanders... |
Lovely idea, hook me up..... |
odua boy: I would overlook the rubbish you wrote up there,Comedian.Calm down man, you don't need to go all tribal cos of such minor comment. That ile-ife is past glory is a reality you gotta accept. It's not about which region is better. The historical significance of the town is appreciated. |
GentleMimi: *frowns*.....i'm a chemical pathologist by the way,not a Doc.Too late, sent already..... |
GentleMimi: No,YOU have entirely missed MY point.Do not be too quick to quote me without understanding my post.If u need clarification, let me know. I will not argue history with Oni,cos i'm totally in the dark in that area.My point is that he shld be interested in the way forward, not wallowing in the past! Get my point and stop contradicting urself!Well, the issue of dilapidation and non-development is of another topic entirely. You could open a thread for that if it concerns you so much. you, like the other "defenders of Christ" that posted, are derailing the thread. By the way, I just learned you're a Doc... Hmm... I kinda have a soft spot for female docs.. Hmm... Will be PM'ing you soon #winks# |
GentleMimi: Wow! Congratulations! But really, how does this matter in our present situation? I did my internship at Ife and i can tell u the place is acient! The ruins of the Modakeke/Ife crisis are still visible till date. The saving grace of Ife is the teaching hospital and OAU. Apart frm that, the town is boring and dry! You've totally missed the point of the statement. What he's clamouring for is historical accuracy . |
Profkomolafe: He whosoever takes God 4 granted, God knows how to deal wit such people.... With due respect to ooni, REMEMBER HE IS THE BEGINING AND THE ENDING,ALPHA AND OMEGA.Quit the Bible thumping already. Major historical events happened before the physical birth of Christ. The term B.C.(before Christ) is a widely accepted dating expression. If you weren't aware of that, then you need to get enlightened. |
A certain Tony Ezenna sold his Chemist stores in Aba to travel. Years later he's the CEO of Orange drugs Ltd... No risk, no reward. |
Local champions |
nerodenero: Good for you but don't forget the saying that there is no place like home. CongratulationsHome is wherever the heart is..... |
Oga @ the top.... |
omonla555: What has that got to do with me, Yoruba language is spoken in the carribeansThis is no ethnic d|ick measuring contest. The news is just for enlightenment purposes. |
Red_Card: I agree with you on all the points made. Lets also add CONNECTION: For someone (esp Nigerian) to get a job easily, he/she has to be highly CONNECTED. FACT!I guess that could be grouped under "effective contact list" |
BeraBera: In as much as i condemn what the man did, i still wish to advise women to desist from quarrels, nagging and behaviours that would provoke a man to strike you. Exchanging words with men tend to hurt their ego, and they can do ANYTHING just to protect their ego and make you know that they are in charge.Well said, sister. Even though I know some men out there are complete a$$holes, the ladies ought not to provoke them with their razor-sharp tongues... |
But wait ooo... Which state in Nigeria has a fully functional pipe-Borne water supply network? "fully functional",,I must stress. |
lolade123: He is an ignoramus, he doesn't know civilzation started from Africa even before Europe. Egypt have been practising agricultural mechanisation for 5000 years, ,where was Europe then. Am proud to be an African...I get am before.... (complete the rest) |
omoelu1: i don't know how transferring data through wire cables will be cheaper than doing so wirelessly .I suggest you Google "optic fibre cable advantages" |
all4naija: Oh,please! It hasn't come to that yet. I can't understand the reason why you can not prove me wrong with facts. They say,'action speaks louder than words'. I am expected to be proved wrong by you yet the reverse is often the case. Mind you, you keep pushing the post to cover-up the important part of the argument, which is, there are mud houses in Igbo villages for being African thing. I can't understand your argument and where it is headed not until you are able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Igbo villages are made up of modern brick buildings. Don't tell me you are not debating to ascertain that in this particular thread.Okay, the claims have been made on the thread. It's left for you to prove all that wrong by providing your own pics and other evidence to the contrary. PS: I repeat, there are mud houses in some southeast villages in fast dwindling numbers. It's Been clarified several times in this thread, so where's the cover-up? |
all4naija: Bwahaha... I hope you don't need me to quote the whole argument to better explain to you the stand of most people in this particular thread. If you have been following things you would understand that the position of most of the posters in this thread is that there is no mud houses in Igbo villages against the claim of modern buildings allegedly often found in those villages, which, I disagree with. The most obvious thing is that there is none of those people who are able to prove with facts their claims that those buildings actually exist in those locations. Indeed, that left the argument to be more questionable than ever before. I am only interested in fact of the matter, the reality on ground. Please, provide that without circumlocution or whatsoever if you can than make mountain out of mole.Well, that means your biased brain filtered out the comments that cleared the issue of the presence of mud houses but in fast dwindling numbers. I guess we only see what we wanna see and hear what we wanna hear. There are some white folks that still believe there are no modern houses, airports and roads in Africa in this 21st century. There's no difference between you and such clearly daft close-minded white trash that feel comfortable in their Homes and content with their stereotyped view of places they've never been to. A village, in the sense of a sparsely populated rural settlement , mustn't be poverty-stricken, remote and backward place. It'll cost you not much money to take a trip to any capital city in the southeast, lodge in an hotel and visit the hinterlands. Any conclusion you make after that will thereby be Borne out of eye-witness experience and not from stereotyped ignorant doubts you're portraying in this thread. |
all4naija: HATE! Did you say hate?! Jeez! I think you are very funny. There is nothing close to what you are alluding to in my previous comment. I am only asking for evidences to provided to support the fact that there is no mud houses in Igbo villages. However, I can't see anybody who is able to convince me beyond reasonable doubt that such thing doesn't exist in Igbo villages. Please quote any post claiming there are NO mud houses in the southeast villages. As for the aerial view, keep waiting till I save money to buy helicopter or till I win another Mtn aeroplane. I'll gladly send you the pics, just hold on.... |
Nigerians should let those innocent cats be joor... My granddad had cats, used to play with them as a kid. They helped to check the infiltration of rodents and reptiles in the house. Pretty useful creatures I'd say. |
He sold an exotic pet for 10k? something that goes for $600-$1000 in the right black market... A 15 foot rock python would cost much more... |
Gbade60: Wished women weren't created!!! Wud av been a peaceful world!!! No woman no cry, no android no fun!!Naa, then we'd all be gay? unless sexual instincts wouldn't exist as well... |
BurnAnikulapo Kuti... So so radical |
The widow no get name sef? |
Yeah, right... First my girl announces our breakup... Hours later I get this news. #hara-kiri mode.... |
Well, there are $50 smart phones being sold in Asia and some parts of Africa already. If you search very well you may find them in Nigeria. Else, you might just have to wait a Lil. If smart phones can be as cheap as 10k, then anything is possible in the near future. |
Sootyhey1: DO YOU USE?Na by force to use cheat? I want to be subscribing and browsing legitimately without stress, is that now a crime? |
Oh, the nostalgia. If I'm to write down my experiences, this thread won't be sufficient. Most recent was My "poetic" phase of dope trips. Circa 2009. I've since retired but I posted one "masterpiece" on nairaland last year after finding it in My memory card. "Savour" it here...... www.nairaland.com/868917/fantasizing |
Averagely, in a year, 2-3 gals and 1 occasional g|ay ba$tard at least. |
