Jakeattah: U've got a point but that lottery is another issue entirely
Yeah , but statistically speaking, the lottery is as minutely probable.

Jakeattah: Tanx... Am sure that guy washed us about getting it TWICE.... But with ur knowledge of stuffs it seems u work with emptyhen
Dunno if he's lying or not, but it's not impossible for someone to get it twice.. I'd rather say it's minutely probable...

Talking of double luck, check out this man that won multi million dollars Florida state lottery.... TWICE!

Originakalokalo: Now,lets say a recharge card PIN;
033214453698
exist somewhere,
the probability of getin d first digit corectly is 1 in 10 chances(0-9 is ten digits) 1/10
there are 12 digits in d pin, that means the probability of gettin the whole PIN correctly is
1/10 * 1/10 * 1/10.........in twelve places
hence, the probability of guessing a pin correctly is 1/1000000000000
in words, that is a chance out of one trillion.
Happy guessing....
Wrong!!
You can't have only one right sequence of numbers.
of the 12 trillion possible sequences, there are possibly like millions (depending on the encryption) of correct sequences. If the encryption being used at that moment gives 10 million correct sequences, then the probability of guessing a correct pin at random would be 10 million/ 1 trillion... Which is one in a hundred thousand chance, for example..
PhonesRe: Have Anyone Successfully Guessed A Recharge Card Pin before? by ceejayluv(m): 12:22pm On Jan 08, 2014
henchyk: It is a statistical and mathematical impossibility. Or rather let me say that it is very unlikely for anyone to correctly GUESS an entire recharge card number from first to last digit. Nah.
Dude, it's not impossible... If not for the limit set by the networks before lines are blocked, it'll be FAR easier to guess an mtn recharge pin than to win the American mega millions lottery jackpot
PhonesRe: Have Anyone Successfully Guessed A Recharge Card Pin before? by ceejayluv(m): 12:20pm On Jan 08, 2014
The probability of guessing a right sequence is like one in several thousands.... And not only guessing a right sequence but guessing one that hasn't been used by another person, increases the unlikelihood... the ideal way is to know the algorithm involved in generation of the recharge pin. I Believe the encryption is dynamic, else men would have cracked the code long ago....

Aspetta: I thought the issue of these open letters will die a premature death but I am glad it hasn't. The part about Ibori shocked me a bit because I didn't hear much about OBJ's involvement. Clark should present evidence too, afterall this is the time for proof. Nigerians cannot just sit and read your bashings for ever. It is only a matter of time before we see it all happen, if it is true. Looking forward to more letters...

Igbos have been spared of the diblitating trends associated with islam, less than 0.5% of igbo population are muslim, we are blessed.. we have christian dogmas and the menace called traditional religion to deal with, adding another layer of trouble shouldnt be of any help. Islamic inroad into igboland should be mercilessly repelled. To hell with freedom of religion. . This particular religion will bring no upgrade to the process of igbo cultural modernistion, so what is the use? You convert qnd you stay there.. On this one, we have to be culturally cocky before it becomes a trend.

solomon111: If you think there's racism in Nigeria, then you need to get a refund from whichever university you went to.
Racism in Subsaharan africa is almost zero.
What we have here are tribalism, nepotism and chronic religious brainwash.
One of the numerous definitions of "Race" is:
"A family, tribe, people or nation belonging to the same stock"
(Merriam-Webster)
Tribalism = racism...

The British are very pretentious and "polite" and would never tell you to their face but their Body language and private discussions expose all. Americans are more outspoken which is why you hang them.

P.s remain in Nigeria and improve it, travel on business trips/holidays don't clutter people's countries for them.
Yeah, kind we don't suffer racism here as well......
CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by ceejayluv(m): 10:49am On Jan 01, 2014
TribalEAST: Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Imo and Abia put together arent up to OYO state in terms of land squaremiles. Those places are densely populated. What you might called a state capital in iboland might be like a neigborhood in oyo state. What you might call a village in iboland might be a combination of 3 streets in oyo state. Ogbomosho, a town in oyo state consisting of 2 local governments areas is bigger than imo and ebonyi states put together while ibadan the capital of oyo state can cover close to 3 states o its own.

*check google for the sq miles of those places. Note: sq miles and nothing else*

The posting of mansions as typical of house in ibo villages is a huge ridicule. Are you guys saying that ibos earn better salaries than other tribes to all have mansions? Are there no poor people there? You mean no face-me-i-face-you houses? You mean the pics of the houses you've been posting belong to you or your father? Stop deluding yourselves.

The number of mansions in oyo state might be more than what you have in iboland- dont fool yourselves with pics of rusty roofs in ibadan cos that is the ancient ibadan before the advent of the british.

Ibos are rich but the majority are poor just as other tribes in nigeria. Will tell me that the ibos selling okrika in lagos island and those hawking pure water all have mansions in iboland? The pics show handpicked mansions. An aerial view cant even prove us wrong cos we know what the state of the nation is- poverty strickened. So long majority of ibos are poor and live below a dollar per day, then i'll say those mansions where handpicked or what is the rate of unemployment in iboland?

Ibos arent better than south africans that still have mud and thatched roof houses and still live zulu live, so stop painting a false picture cos we have millions of ibos living in horrible conditions in places like ajegunle, ajangbadi, orile etc all in lagos, nigeria's finest city which still has slums talkless of iboland. Cant they go back to their mansions? Ok, they'll do when they die.
I understand your point... And I also acknowledge your ignorance pertaining to the nature of houses in ibo villages... Even if a man builds a mansion, all his sons will eventually have to build their own houses... And most times considering the seeming competition and show-off exhibited during xmas holiday period, they wouldn't want to build "small" houses. Some will rather wait till they're ready to build at least a fairly large bungalow. Some others will build something small to have a place they call Home at least. one of the main dilemmas we have here is the waste of money in building houses that are bigger than necessary, as most are only occupied for two weeks tops in a whole year. And being rural areas, renting them out won't be profitable.
As for the issue of mud houses, maybe we'll have to open another thread for that and title it "post pictures of traditional Igbo village houses here" so that people that have mud houses present in their communities can post such.
it's been overstated that such mud houses are still present, I dunno how posting pics of pretty houses negates their presence... The thread was opened for the sole reason of posting rural masterpieces. You could have only understood that if you were Igbo. And to that, I forgive your ignorance....
PhonesRe: Why You Should Buy A Samsung Device Instead Of Tecno by ceejayluv(m): 11:45am On Dec 30, 2013
Most peeps use their smart phones to browse, update social media profiles, chat, play music and video. Oh,,and also make calls..... I'm yet to see any tecno Android phone that can't do all of the above. No one ever argued that tecno is better than Samsung in terms of quality. But it's all a matter of OS now. With Android 4.0, one can get virtually all necessary apps in play store. So I don't see the essence of upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2 for a basic smart phone user... Unless you're a developer or hardcore geek...
I use a Samsung phone. You all using Samsung should check where your phones were made from the battery compartment, it's likely made in China (especially if you bought it in Nigeria ).

Buy your tecno phones if you want, and savour the Android experience to the fullest.

all4naija: Google Earth! Oh,please! You refused to provide us the name of where that particular building is located. The geographical coordinates you are using as an excuse don't provide us the name but the nearest town or village. It is sad to know you are going after something you can't provide factual answer to.

Only in this argument I can deduce one thing on how much the Igbo people can be over-eulogizing their villages without any communal image to show for it. That is preposterous to say the least and it doesn't speak well of people who like to brag so much about their achievements.

Thank you.
Hahaha, keep ranting.... I remember my friend, Niyi that served in Owerri. The first time he ventured to the hinterlands around nkwerre and njaba, he was surprised at the kind of structures he saw. Normally he expected to see mud houses all around but that wasn't the case. The cost of purchasing land in the ancestral hometown is usually zero, they are mostly inherited. Most of the supposedly good looking houses are owned not by so wealthy peeps. They are owned by average peeps working and hustling in big cities in Nigeria and abroad. It's not uncommon for a menial worker based in USA or Canada to achieve such building in the village in a space of 5-10 years. The cost of those houses may not buy half plot of land in lekki or maitama...

What's "big" about Android phones?? Android phones are on average, cheaper than iPhones, Lumia, and blackberry phones if you didn't know. It's functionality and user experience that's making Android phones sell, coupled with the option of low-end devices.
