HealthRe: Quick Facts: Why Most Nigerians Think COVID-19 Is Scam by ceejayluv(m): 1:37pm On Jan 12, 2021
People are not actually dropping Dead per se in the USA and EU. The fact is that those people are thoroughly tracking the numbers And carrying out massive testing and research.
In Nigeria, we have not even tested 1 percent of the population, so it's safe to assume that for Every official death reported, there were ten other unreported and undiagnosed deaths.

Generally, whomever doesn't believe covid is in Nigeria is deluded and living in denial.
Denial is a psychological coping mechanism during such stress brought upon by the pandemic - on that note I can't blame them much.

The official figure ( with abysmally low testing rate of less than 1 percent of the population) has already crossed a thousand. You can imagine what the real figure will be.

yes you are correct .. I dont believe the virus is as viral as they say .. my colleague in the same customer service floor contacted the virus , she fell sick ,
With 2 other persons , I did not fall sick nor test positive with 2 other persons also .. I expected all of us to be positive , because we all play together in close proximity, eat from each others plate .. I think the virus is not as viral as described... ( or maybe i have had covid before and recovered without knowing )
I don't think there's any virus with a 100 percent infection rate - even Ebola. It's immunity at play.

you have malaria, the covid19 patients that I know will not be typing or even have time for phone. Go home and treat malaria+ typhoid, and u will be fine
You are wrong, 80 to 90 percent of those infected show very mild or no symptoms at All till their immunity clears the virus. The statistics is consistent All over the globe. The people you're seeing in isolation centres and under Oxygen/ventilator are the minority 5 - 10 percent critical/serious cases.

Verance:
Agreed, if covid-19 exists here, the number of persons that have contracted the disease must be way way higher that the number of daily testings conducted and positive cases reported. If this is the case, it means many Nigerians had or now have covid-19 unbeknownst to them. The big question is, if such is the case, why aren't people getting sick simultaneously around the country? Why aren't people dieing randomly and mysteriously from the "deadly" disease?

My submission is that if covid-19 is real in this country, then a large percentage of Nigerians have contracted this virus (far far more than the near 100k reported) and the fact that there has not been a wave of sickness or hospitalisation in Nigeria proves that covid-19 is not a problem to us. Consider the fact that Nigerians do not follow prevention protocols at all (wearing of facemasks is like closing only one out of 50 doors open to the virulent virus) compared to a country like England where the populace generally follows protocols to the letter, yet had 55k cases a single day some days back—more than half the reported cases in Nigeria since February 2020. If you have a contrary view, let me know, I am open to learning.
The fact is that Millions of Nigerians contracted the virus in the first wave. Nigeria has a relatively younger population with a relatively lower life expectancy, meaning that we have fewer elderly per capita compared to say, Italy.
Self medication, alternative medicine and outright denial is rife here, hence the average Nigerian is unwilling to report obvious symptoms to health authorities. Our health infrastructure is another pathetic story . Even the NCDC does not have the infrastructure to carry out proper massive testing (They've only managed to test less than 0.5 percent of the population) which is surely a far cry by any statistical standards.

Our young population (coupled with other unknown factors)) means higher survival rate. Now at best the survival rate is 99 percent . 1 percent of a million people is 10,000.
It's normal in Nigeria To hear that one died after a "brief Illness" which in forensic diagnostics terms is bullshit. There has been an uptrend of people dying after such brief Illness during this pandemic. unfortunately I can only give anecdotal evidence of such uptrend as we virtually don't have any database of birth and death rate in the country to use as reference.

CrimeRe: Pastor Masodje & Dead Beauty Ngegbarane: Body Of Pregnant Missing Lady Found by ceejayluv(m): 10:01am On Jan 09, 2021
Jessepaid:
Hehehe...
She went to visit him on the 25th...
A few days later he called her parents to ask about her whereabouts...

A day after Christmas she was brought into a mortuary as an accident victim..

On normal circumstances I would say she died while going to see him..

But.. her sister claimed she was pregnant for him and he begged her to terminate which she refused to do...

So I see motive from the pastor to hide the baby by any means necessary..

Which can mean he called her to come over to discuss about the baby and orchestrated a murder to look like an accident..

Or

The victims sister is using the pregnancy story to hold the pastor responsible for her sisters death...

The police should question the mortuary to obtain the following..

Description of who brought the body?

Autopsy?

Where did the accident happen?

Was the body mutilated or had shown signs of severe bleeding prior to death?...

Other questions to be asked include but are not limited to the following...

Does the pastor own a car?

Does he have temperamental issues?

Is he a violent person?

How far is the pastor's house from the mortuary where the body was found?

Did the pastor have any substantial thing to lose if his secret was discovered? His name, his congregation, a promotion?

When they checked his house was it arranged or disorganized?

Question his neighbours also..

The pastor might be innocent....

The pastor might not be innocent...

Circumstances and certain situations can greatly affect reasoning and logic..
Naija Police??. Lol. Theirs is to just throw him in jail and force him to sign a statement.
The Court will determine all that.
It's no minor feat being the worst police force in the universe.

The numbers are even underestimated.... You can't test less than one percent of the population and say it's inflated. NCDC hasn't even scratched the surface of the real statistics.

UDUJ:
It might not be. Can you see the pot belly? Majority of Nigerians see getting fat and having a massive pot belly as a sign of living life to the fullest. Nah being obese or having massive pot belly comes with it's associated health challenges. We don't watch what we eat. We eat anyhow and eat anything in sight. Coupled with this the average Nigerian does not bother about exercising.

And the sad fact is that we are so annoying in our thought processes. For example when RMD started exercising and lost a lot of weight Nigerians started saying he is I'll and probably has AIDS. And because of the online backlash regarding his weight loss he stopped working out and started putting on weight again and his high bp and other past health challenges came back again, just b cause he wanted to shut people up and Same way Nigerians came for WizKid last week saying he probably has AIDS or an hidden illness because he lost some weight. Smh undecided imagine people I share the same country with.

I am approaching my mid thirties but if you see me you will think I am in my twenties because I take good care of my health, exercise daily and watch what I eat. Too many ticking time bombs health-wise walking the streets of this country. People should start taking their personal health serious.
Considering his age and the fact that coro takes advantage of such obesity related health challenges, we might not rule it out.

It's 99 percent survivable... Stats have shown that. But 1 percent of a million people is 10k. Therefore there will surely be deaths considering how fast it spreads and our huge population.

Of course they(the families) will believe whatever the hospital tells them is responsible for the dead of their love ones.

The hospitals could be running colabo with the government.

When celebrities comes out to say they are positive they probably were not paid to say so, the doctors only need to tell them they are positive and then they believe it and publicize their status.

The collaboration (if there is) is between the institutions (government and hospitals)
there's an ongoing global pandemic. I dunno how you expect the virus to purposely avoid Nigeria but spread all over the world considering how well travelled we are generally.
In summary, no one needs to lie about covid. It's here.

. I believe covid19 is existing but Nigeria government is useless. Those citizens that didn't believe about covid19 I can't blame them because Nigeria government is a big liar and not trustworthy. Why did Nigeria government find it difficult to publish those who were infected with covid19 to the public so that people will believe them ? Useless and nonentity leaders.
Which country have you heard that the govt published names of people infected with a viral disease during a pandemic? Did they publish names of people infected with HIV?

Can a virus be ravaging the rest of the world but purposely skip Nigeria? That's what those non-believers should ask themselves.
