The new trend with these scam visa agents is that they will tell you to pay after the visa will be out but first you have to pay some other fee such as overinflated visa application fee and other fees. That’s the catch. Just imagine if they collect these amount from 100s of people. Technically many of them are using it to gather their own proof of funds in their own account because na Canada be their end goal when they close shop. Also, those yeye UK agents promising you COS and there is a job attached to it only to abandon you after you get to the Uk with no job after collecting over 10k pounds. Nigerians are damn wicked. Btw Travel Agent when never fit travel go even Ghana that one na travel agent?

You don’t really know Pa EK Clark. He literally monitored Ibori’s going to jail by leaking sensitive documents to Obasanjo and EFCC that saw his running away from Nigeria to Dubai. The man may be greedy but he has dossier on these former Governors.

Where are you based? I don’t know about the job outlook in Nigeria though but in the US it’s tough getting in. But don’t stop pushing. Btw I was two years into Security before I got my first certification. Presently preparing for my third (CISM) I’m getting tired of the technical part of Security. Looking to venture into something in Management. Security is boring.

You’re very correct. Before I got my second degree in Computer Engineering, in my third year to be precise, I started my search for Cyber Security roles. I did over 200 applications and got called up for over 80 interviews but none gave me a listening ear even though they knew I was saying the right things in the interviews but all that was just textbook knowledge. Three months after my graduation that’s when I got my first job and that’s were I learnt the core foundation of Security. Presently going on my 7 year in the field after working as an Analyst, SecOps, Security Consulting and now in Engineering. It’s now very difficult getting in especially after the pandemic

Google the name Marcus Hutchins. This is a guru in cyber security without any form of certificate or degree, he is notable for stopping the global ransomware called WannaCry. And it will shock you to know that WannaCry was coded by Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi, always research before you comment. Finally I want you to know that the IBM X-force team are hackers without certificate or degree in computer science.

As a Cybersecurity professional of over 6 years in the US who have worked with the US government in classified space and other top tech companies, Comments like this are some of the reasons I don’t take Nairaland seriously.

One of the biggest problem of Nigeria is ethnic bigotry, religious fanaticism and most importantly partisan politics. Many people will support rubbish provided it aligns with their political side of the divide. It’s annoying seeing some people that supported Buhari with all the little strength they have suddenly after the inauguration of Tinubu have started subtly criticizing Buhari. As a frequent flyer that do track my flights, I knew from the onset that the unveiling was a scam even before David Hundeyin raised the issue.

When I see people hating on the US especially people that live in Nigeria I just shake my head. I told a friend friend few weeks back. No country’s economy can survive half of those that illegally go into the US daily without their economy getting damaged without redemption. The great United States has its own glory that is uncontested. The number of illegal immigrant alone in one of the 5 major cities of Texas alone may likely surpass that of the entire Europe. The Nigerian overstay people alone in the states of Texas and New York don reach form one city of its own and no one is even disturbing them.

I suspect EFCC have embezzled the money. Mr Yakubu is simply saying the money should be transferred to an account in which will be in control of the court but EFCC is objecting. I don’t trust that Government agency.
