I am privileged to save more than 100k during my nysc in rivers state. I saved that I was able to buy a laptop for myself, though not new one but London use for around 63k. I also got home with almost 60k. My ppa was close to my house a little bit. So I take the stress to walk to the ppa daily and mind you, .y ppa not paying me.

It is not easy to save 10k monthly irrespective ofwhere u serve, it takes discipline to achieve this, & those staying in urban areas have almost no chance of saving 10k monthly. I am currently serving in ekiti state in ise orun lga. I can categorically tell u that those staying in d state capital Ado-ekiti hv no chance of saving at all. The cost of living there is very high. Me i subscribed for first bank insurance policy while in camp where i pay 5k of my allowance, then i am also involved in a thrift contribution where i also pay 5k.

That was what i hoped for, but i dont have a laptop (though that will change soon), and i am serving in a village in ekiti state.

I am current a batch A stream 2 serving in Ekiti & i can relate to that language part, a fellow corp member always feel offended whenever i speak hausa language with a corp member but always speak yoruba even while we are there & i say thats hypocrit

International Radio Playwriting Competition 2018 Would you like to win £2,200 sterling, a trip to London and have your play broadcast across the world on BBC World Service? If so, the 2018 International Radio Playwriting Competition is now open to entries! There are three prizes to be won. Two first prizes – for the best radio plays by writers with either English as their first language or English as their second language. Both winners’ plays will be broadcast on BBC World Service. In addition, there’s the Georgi Markov prize - for the most promising script, this prize gives the winner a chance to come to London for two weeks and work alongside BBC Radio Drama and with BBC World Service journalists.
