Politics / A Day Nigeria Danced Naked In The Market Square* by Certitude(m): 7:45am On Oct 20, 2021
Tuesday, *20th October 2020*, a day that will stand the test of time in Nigeria's macabre hall of infamy.

On this day, thousands of unsuspecting Nigerian youths gathered at the Lekki Toll gate, in the country's economic hub of Lagos, to exercise their *inalienable right of civil disobedience*, denouncing police brutality and systemic corruption in what was initially a demonstration against *SARS, a special anti robbery squad in the Nigerian police force, notorious for extra judicial killings and political intimidations.*

The protest tagged *#EndSARS*, reached it's tragic apogee on this black Tuesday night, as the Nigerian government ordered masked military men to gun down innocent patriotic youths singing the national anthem and displaying the Nigerian flag.

Consequently pandemonium ensued, eliciting widespread condemnation from foreign leaders and media, as well as the unsurprising *denial by Nigerian government officials* of their shameful complicity in the maleficent affair.

The #EndSARS movement chiefly emphasised the unity of purpose of Nigerian youths in a country bedevilled by ethnic bickering and tribal sentiments, it further goes to show that the youths are *sacrosanct to the developmental affairs of any nation* and *that their voices can never be subdued.*

Summarily, I suggest that in honour of the EndSARS movement, a *foundation* must be set up *to combat youth restiveness, illicit drug use and political thuggery,* as by tackling these vices, we put a stop to the use of Nigerian youths as political foot soldiers by desperate politicians.

Once again, *"Soro Soke"* to all Nigerian youths.

He is the most loved Eagle's player here. That's why he is always insulted when off form cause people are not happy with that.

Lol... Pique would have done himself a huge favor by retiring before then. grin grin

Ansu Fati would have gotten badder I believe and you guys would have made some cool signings to try measure up against the might of what that madrid attack will unleash.

Mbappe on the left, Chukwueze on the right... I wonder who could be their man through the center.

All this is good fantasy but I hope at least the Mbappe, Chuks part come true. wink

Osimhen grin

What's particularly normal about that

I really don't get it, there is division among the fans in the house and unnecessary contention.

That spills out in prejudice and open dislike against some players. Very emotive based not objective.

Then we have the issue of PERCEPTION people are mostly a product of thier environment. Some people are a product of multiple environments and some a singular environment.

I think we have different cultural dynamics at play here that are often misconstrued and perceived from different people in completely different ways.

There has been never ending abuse going Tega Abrahams way under the allegation that he Insulted and denigrated Nigeria. That's a matter of perception.

What's considered rude and disrespectful by some here will be considered as just plain speaking in other societies.
Guy, I'm an Eagle's fan and not that of three Lion. Wetin concern me with Tammy. As a fan of Super Eagles, it's normal I want Osimhen to perform better than anyone.
I'm still trying to understand the other epistle you wrote.

Not one English division 2 player doing shakara
cheesy... I don't want make them go call player like Vic mo. I loved vic mo but that nigga lacked commitment... That's why I no dey support too much begging. Vic Mo was just playing like a mercenary for us... He ended up with not much caps.

Haba I know dessers can’t bench osimhen nah ,I just pray dessers should be called up because I am scared he might not be

Where you are this thread during the afcon ?

Many of them here where crying like sheep for osimhen to start ahead of ighalo ,you don forget say most of them here no like ighalo ?

Some of them only kept quiet because he was afcon top scorer

Bros make I no talk much jare

The dessers might not be even called up ,I just hope I am wrong
I really want Dessers to get called o. Other strikers haven't impressed me. I just have the feeling Dessers will.
As for Ighalo, there was no way Osimhen would have started ahead of him during the AFCON. But I prefer his style of play to Ighalo. Ighalo is more of the target man striker. Always resting on defenders.

That’s is if dessers is not given a chance

But I would agree after all the presence of ighalo limited osimhen

I know the osimhen fan boys would not want dessers to even have game time due to their love for osimhen ,but that might happen because rohr believes in victor

During ighalo period osimhen fan boys cry tire for here , lol

It’s osimhen time now so let’s enjoy him ,but I hope dessers get a look in thou
Christ Jesus! When did Osimhen began to play for the S.E. Osimhen was more of an understudy during Ighalo. if not that Iheanacho went completely out of form, you wouldn't be talking about Ighalo here.
Dessers can never bench Osimhen, forget coach's belief in him or not. why will Osimhen's fanboy now be scared of him up staging Osimhen? If anything, we are sad that Dessers may not see enough game time because I don turn him fanboy too.
Even Tammy will never bench Osimhen.

Anyway I am glad most of you guys here do miss Tammy but pretend not to and some are wishing him bad and he keeps scoring ,lol

I no mean say na you o grin
Miss Tammy? Most people here just want Osimhen to have better stats than Tammy and it's normal. We would be talking about missing that guy only if we didn't have Osimhen. Didn't you read when someone said he wasn't excited about Dessers as he feels the presence of Osimhen would limit him. I felt same way too.

Nah, not when he is in the same league that has Ajax. It's more impressive scoring 11 with Heracles than with Ajax.

If we are getting coverage here, from leagues in Poland, why not in Turkey? If he was doing great things, we would hear of it on this thread at least, irrespective of mainstream media.

He has just two assists in how many games?

Omanbala, for someone who likes to call Iwobi and other English-born players mediocre, you seem to support mediocrity yourself

Oga, messi and ronaldo will not survive in the pele era. Their careers would have ended prematurely due to rugby tackles that were allowed at that time. Football today offers more protection for players compared to then.
lot of protections. I was of the view that modern football was more difficult until someone brought these things to my notice. You want to compare the pitches. small bumps, modern footballers will be complaining. I once read that player began to get referees' protection due to injuries sustained from some kinda tackles... Messi and Ronaldo would be too unavailable due to injuries to gather these stats if it was that era.

Was scrolling through my Facebook where I saw this thread.
If we're to describe life as a game, there may be some cheat codes (just like many other games).

It may be to get ahead of others; it may be to save yourself while you are stuck.

Some of these cheats must have been used by many of us at one point or the other, while we may still plan to use some when the need arises. What are some of these cheat codes?
