Now, the game becomes hot
PoliticsAl Qaeda Confirms Osama Bin Laden's Death by chamber2(op): 5:34pm On May 06, 2011
Al Qaeda has confirmed the death of Osama bin Laden and vowed to launch revenge attacks on the US and its allies.A statement posted on jihadist websites warned that happiness over the terror chief's demise would soon be turned on its head. The group described itself as a "curse" on America, promised bloodshed and also called on Pakistan to rise up in revolt.

See wetin Abasha and IBB has done to our country's education o.
An average Nigerian graduate is capable of beating you hands down, Mr Elite education

You made what is supposed to be an analysis without providing basis for the selection of the identified items and conclusion. Among all possible factors why do you think, (1) utterances by the governor that I have read, (2) general reports online and (3) the citizenry affection and respect the governors generate, are the most important?

How did you arrive at your conclusion and ranking? Why do you think Oshomole's ''less education'' will affect his performance?

Talking about education and performance, i think you are missing something. This is my statement:

1. Advanced education, evident in the number of certificates one holds, is not a precondition for leadership performance.Take this or you leave it. It could be a factor, but not a sufficient factor.

Your understanding is:

2.Education increases performance (positive correlation). This is very true and i do not dispute it.

Well, i had wanted to do a simple analysis for you, but i think that will be very foolish of me considering your level of understanding and immaturity.
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 8:23am On May 06, 2011
Is that what they teach you in your "MBA" school when asked to simply apply a "methodology" 15 governors?
so you now need help eh?

You started the ''analysis'' then complete what you started.

There are good leaders with little education plus arrogance - empathy etc. There are bad leaders with solid education+ humility+ empathy etc
Thank you.And someone who supposedly had an elite education said there is a strong correlation b/w leaders' performances and their educational attainment.I tried to let him understand that leaders require mixture of various qualities in order to be successful. No one quality on its own is more powerful than the rest and there is no recommended dosage.

If his assertions that there is a strong relationship between leadership success and education attainment i then wonder why Enron in the US failed despite the fact that the CEO has a Phd in Economics.
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 3:58am On May 05, 2011
chamber2, where you dey?

No run o. Grin

All I did was asked you to apply your abitirari methodology to 15 governors. Grin

I am "waitED".

You are suya.
So you missed me this much huh? That was good of you Mr.Saga
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 3:34am On May 05, 2011
You must be severely dumb if you think or claim you have not observed correlation between leadership performance and being well educated.

The same foool that says humility is a necessity for good leadership?
Education, humility, empathy etc are only but factors that make a good leader. These factors acting individually have little impact on the success or otherwise of a leader. But with good mix of them, a leader is likely to be successful.
For example,
Education+humility+empathy+vision+etc = good leader.
Education+arrogance+despotism+selfishness+etc = bad leader

I am yet to understand the nature of the relationship between leadership performance and level of educational attainment. Is it positive, negative or serial? This is because history has shown and proved that most successful leaders do not posses high educational attainment as focused by your analysis. If so, why do most educated leaders fail?
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 11:29pm On May 04, 2011
I am keen to see the emotional stability one.
Dear Mr. Sagamite, we are not on a race.

An low-quality "MBA candidate" that does not think there is a correlation between education and leadership performance want to teach me?
precedents have proved you wrong.I recognise the place of education on leadership performance but is no proof that leaders with more education perform better than leaders with little education. Prove me wrong Mr. Elite Education..You keep mentioning MBA as if it adds anything to my person. And you forgot that even you, the so called Mr.elite could not produce a plausible analysis.
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 11:06pm On May 04, 2011
(1) utterances by the governor that I have read, (2) general reports online and (3) the citizenry affection and respect the governors generate.
And you think just three items are enough to asses the success or failure of a leader huh? And yet you call this ''analysis.'' You are really earning what you don't deserve where ever you work.
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 10:58pm On May 04, 2011
Oya, teach me how you would have "taken it a step further".
Why my list is not exhaustive, i will try to give you a tip.

You could assign arbitrary numbers to each identified element which is believed to be of importance in assessing the success of a leader based of perceived attribute(s), including the ones you identified, on a scale of maybe 1- 4

1, could represent less of a quality, 2 moderate ,

After that, you tally each, and that could provide  basis for your conclusion and ranking.

On an item like Emotional stability, which measures how a leader reacts to situations and criticisms. You could also undertake such analysis. For instance, in Imo State, people attributed the inability of the incumbent to perform to constant criticisms by opposition parties and court cases against him. How a leader responds to this situations goes a long way in determining the success or otherwise of his tenure. This is just an insight
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 10:11pm On May 04, 2011
You are doing MBA na.
So you truly want me to teach you how to undertake a complete analysis huh?Maybe you are the one paying my bills. If you are actually intelligent as you claim, you would have noticed that i started my post by commending your effort and thereafter recommended that you would have taken it a step further to make it more appealing. An analysis should consider all aspects of a situation, not a one sided approach. For instance, in your pros and cons, you stated that Oshomole is less educated why Chime is educated and i ask, on what basis did you make such assertion? I think these are simple questions that any analyst would gladly provide answers to, but you resorted to name calling and insults. This i consider a sign of weakness and immaturity.

PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 6:31pm On May 04, 2011
Explain to me how you intended to assess the governors' emotional stability.
Even with your so called elite education you do not still want to realise that there is a qualitative angle to assessing leadership performances?
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 6:28pm On May 04, 2011
Explain to me how you intended to assess the governors' emotional stability.
I will only refer you to a case. Read up what is going on in Imo state and the reactions of the incumbent regarding the Governorship seat and you will get your answer. There is even a recorded video on youtube on the aforementioned .
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 6:14pm On May 04, 2011
I should waste my time showing a "MBA candidate" that there is a strong correlation between educational achievement and leadership performance as evident in the contrast between sane, progressive societies and third world countries?
I have seen why you cannot advance beyond your present condition.

PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 5:49pm On May 04, 2011
What is the correlation between one's educational attainment and leadership performances?
I think this should be a question for you?
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by chamber2(m): 5:38pm On May 04, 2011
Education and strategy are not the same thing. Fayemi needs strategy right now. Ekiti has been so indebted by past politicians. It's picking up at the expected pace (slowly)
Please tell him. This guy is brainwashed. What is the correlation between one's educational attainment and leadership performances? Education only conditions your mind to think in certain direction and cannot on its own be used as a measure of leadership performances.

He even stated that Adams oshomole is NOT well educated why Sullivan Chime is educated. I wonder what your elite school taught you education means.

I wonder why you are yet to do that despite your elite education?

Proof of your "emotional stability"?

I can see you are only here to ''win'' arguments without providing strong and convincing elements for your assertions. Always exhuming people's post to substantiate your watery claims thereby showcasing your ignorance, ineptitude and arrogance to the global community.I only hope you get educated as you claimed.

A lion that said old senior finance guys did not go to elite MBA schools, so it hardly matters if one goes their.
Considering the environment i was referring to, i think i was right. However, i do not take a one-sided view of situations just like you.

No, because you are not in that league, your thinking level is too low considering your judgement ability.
And what exactly do you do, designing Balanced Scoredcard? You truly have an over magnified view of your worth. For your information, i do not need to attend an elite school to become what i want to be. I don't even believe the ''institution'' makes an individual. That may be true for people like you who hide under the umbrella of ''elite school'' to cover their inadequacies, but for me and considering the environment which i operate, i do not need to attend one in order to be noticed.

Just because you sip tea in one corner of an office with some British chaps does not make you an intelligent person. I am a lion and cannot be caged.

I think you have over estimated your worth, maybe because of the calibre of folks you flock around with.
