okocha is 50,000 times better than beckham but he won't get near becks on the player ranking cos he's nigerian & his best shot was playing for bolton fc. tony valencia of 09/10 that destroyed bayern munich at old trafford was head & shoulders better than beckham of 98/99 season - all the wingers we have had in the senior team since beckham left are all better as well including ashley young.

Forget about awards and what not...on ability alone, Beckham is better.
I'm not even a fan of Beckham but he's technically better than Valencia especially in their primary roles.

For me, I do not judge based on the individual / team awards of the player but what I can "visibly" see a player do. From where I stand, in terms of ability, Tony V shades it a little over Becks.

My personal all-time best footie player, Juan Roman Riquelme, never won a pin, never featured prominently for a 'big' european side, was never prized more than the 'average' player... but I know what he does and can do with the ball at his feet!

Read my post v well. I said he is good but not spectacular yet. I have watched virtually all Juve's matches from beginning of last season. He does not even enforce himself on the game. He could be lackadaisical atimes but he has te strength to hold and shield ball from opponents and his shots are powerful but accuracy is less than 10%.

You mentioned 11/12 as a whole and I gave you a specific (end) period where he should have played when we were struck with injuries in his position. Whether it was at the start or end it was still in that season.

My emphasis on 'end' was that if he wasn't ready in April/May like you claimed, how come he was ready a couple of months later...it doesn't make sense.

Don't ever come here and lie to us again...Rafael had never played CM for United before...in fact that was his first and last game he ever played in CM. With the way you talk I am not even sure you watch these games.

The only other time they started in our midfield was against Arsenal in the FA cup and both twins played on the wings not in CM. Gibson and O'Shea played CM.
