I'll always be proud to be Nigerian but not always proud to be a Nigerian.

Our problems extend beyond way beyond economics or deprivation.

We were fighting each other and enslaving ourselves into slavery way back before colonialism. We just sometimes see life in exploitative terms. The North does it to the Federal Republic, the politicians do it to the citizens, the people do it to themselves, and those in diaspora spread the grief abroad.

But there are a huge number of Nigerians doing great things and scaling stupendous heights both at home and abroad. I will always doff my hat to them.
True, some Naija people are doing great things with their life. I just hope we will solve our political problems soon because it is always interfering with our economic growth and development, otherwise we can be the largest economy in the whole world.

I just hope Africans will stop this craze of looking for more mineral resources which they can not find for themselves let alone mine them. And which always bring conflicts, we need more managers (not only trained but well endowed) who can manage our resources in governments, not just some riff-raffs who will only enrich themsleves.

I think the pressure that the kid has been subjected to is enough to kill him. We are a very ununderstanding people. Sad enough, we only use them and dump them, what a shame!
He's the one who actually drop Nigeria, because he was not well known before the World Youth Championship. It was after the tournament that bigger clubs start to take interest in him. He's just behaving like the way Yakubu used to behave before and Yakubu also became known after playing in the Under-17 eaglets.

The beginning of new era for eagles, the coach must have requested that he be banned. The FA is known for customarily begging players to play when there are a lot of players praying to be called up. From now on, those who mess around are likely to get fired.

ayefele or whatever is highly confused, one moment he/she is lambasting Nigeria, another moment switched back to saying proudly half-Nigerian. When for the record South Africa is not the biggest economy in Africa, as far as I am concerned.

Nigeria's hidden economy (not taxed by government) is more than 70 percent, the highest in the world while most of SA's economy is taxed and monitored by the govt. If SA's economy is the largest, what is MTN doing in Nigeria. SA has a population of less than 50 million, yet unemployment is more than 50%, compare than to Nigeria with a population of 140 million.

Ayefele plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz go for therapy or rehab (maybe you re using too much drug which is making u unstable).

If you want to know what Tinubu did with the Celtel income, go ask EFCC, I want to believe they have relevant info cool

but on a serious note, didnt u hear when he mentioned in his handover speech how the investment had tripled?

na wa for you o . . .where were u when we were looking for Tinubu-haters/ AC haters to square with during the election period tongue grin
Tinubu is likely to run into trouble very soon. Considering the above and the trouble he is causing in Osun, he wanted to export Lagos mafia, he's goin to run into trouble.

SportsEagles Go Physical by champredd(op): 8:30pm On Jun 20, 2007
Almost everybody notice the physical style of eagles against the Nigerien. I just want to say welcome to Bundestyle - the German style of play.
For anyone who can remember, when the Cameroonians try their aggressive and physical style of play against the Germans at the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup, they came out second best. The Germans are noted for their physical style of play.
So I will say Bertis Vogts is finally bringing his own style into the Eagles and I hope that it works (again), for the sake of Eagles fanatical fans who gets high blood-pressure whenever the Eagles are playing.

SportsRe: Is Laliga Better Than English Premiership ? by champredd(m): 8:16pm On Jun 20, 2007
davidylan:
The proof of which league is better is better summed up in the run up to the end of the league season. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla where neck and neck to win the league title until the very last day. Whereas in the premiership, unlike this last season the winner is already known a good one month before.

In the La liga almost any team can beat Real Madrid, in the premiership it is Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and others! Can Derby honestly play Manchester United without packing 10 men behind the ball?
This is very true because any team can beat Real Madrid and Barca. No match is totally predictable in La Liga.

PoliticsRe: Yaradua = Baba Go-slow by champredd(m): 8:08pm On Jun 20, 2007
@Babasin
PRESIDENT Umaru Musa Yar' Adua yesterday said his administration would give serious consideration to adopting compulsory religious education in the country as a way to enhance the war against corruption.

The President told a delegation of Nigeria's Moslem Ummah at the Presidential Villa Abuja that the issue of moral education is critical to efforts being made by his administration to move Nigeria to greatness

I don't know what religious studies have done for us since independence. The society at large must be reformed not by religion (being used as cover) but by serious punishment for offenders. We can follow China's example and sentence them all to death.

Am totally proud to be a Nigerian.
@Ayefele
I dont know what is her problem, but I think she has an identity crisis. How can u say SA is better than Nigeria, in what terms. F*#k it. U shld be careful what u yarn on the forum because it belongs to Naija.

South Africa is crime ridden, if u check on the net u will see how many people are being killed and attacked each day, especially foreigners. Plus HIV is killing people like chickens and infection rates remain high especially after their former Vice President says he takes shower after sex with HIV infected lady. What the f**k what that?
That can not happen in Naija. Never.

topeorekoy:
I personally think the la liga is better. most of the worlds bets players have played there and have come from that league. they have won more european throphies than the premiership. there are more better teams in the la liga than in the premiership.

someone can help me out with more points
dinozzo:
there is more depth in la liga. Very hard to win games on the road in the spanish liga. I also admire the spanish league for the way its played. More skill is shown unlike the premier league which relies solely on pace (kick and follow). But in terms of excitement I'll go with the english league, the atmosphere in which premiership games are played is terrific coupled with the fast pace and tempo of the game makes it more exciting and all in all better. Thats just my opinion.
chuckdee4:
Couldn't have said it better myself
Skillful - La Liga
Excitement - Premiership
thats why skillful players hardly cut it in the premiership
dayokanu:
Supported all the way!!! Laliga is better than premiership becauseof the quality of players that play there. Premiership is just about excitement
There is excitement in the English Premiership and skill in the La Liga.
All the above proof why England national team has been unable to perform on world stage. Because most of the players come from the English Premiership.

Behavior of MOST Nigerian men that get involved with foreign women.

anyway she wasnt even "stereotyping", she was merely asking whether it was bad that she wasnt proud to be Nigerian because of what her father did to her family
I'm not actually forcing anybody to declare that they are proud to be Nigerians. If they say no its for the best (for me and others like me), because we are many already, so those outside the country not wishing to come back home, odigbere.

Just relax, and allow time to tell.
