Politics / Re: Aisha Buhari In The US Different From Nigeria First Lady Aisha Buhari - SR by change49gerians: 12:56pm On Jun 23, 2016
In Nigeria in less than 20 minutes, a Syrian with brown skin can make a passport. Passports can be backdated in Nigeria. I am not taking side with anyone, but I am asking, why would it take Fayose for this WASHington woman to be exposed? This Aisha should have been exposed a long time ago. And why is everyone suddenly taking sides and quickly bringing out information to prove Aisha's innocence? If I were her, I would take the challenge. visit the USA and hold a press conference to redeem her image. When one is innocent we all know, he acts calm and watch you fool yourself, then act to ridicule you publicly. Say nothing to Fayose and go to the USA. It is no longer a battle between her and Fayose. It is now her own image against the average Nigerian and the world.

You are telling us that a ghost packaged 170000USD out of this country while in the USA and right under your nose? Even Al pacino never discovered that kind dog day afternoon. well, can we probe into it? Let us know what bank wired the money from here to USA. Or will it now be a company? She lives in the USA and Jefferson lives in the USA, Americans caught Jefferson in the USA and Aisha who is in the USA was not. Is this Aisha was translucent or transparent? The way you people construct your lies makes us feel stupid to have listened to it at all. Lamorde, you are only dragging Aisha into deeper sheet. Over the months, Arase has been a watcher for Nigeria and under his nose many crimes and loot took place. I may want to site the billions looted during the election campaigns and others. Some citizens have been arrested and detained for these and he walks around free. as a professional, if you cannot do a job you must quit. If your superior isn't allowing you to exercise your authority, you must also quit, to avoid tarnishing your image or being blame. He should be arrested and detained for crimes as well as the people he and his boys confederated with to loot our coffer. Now, he was given a decorated farewell as if he served Nigeria. He only served his pocket and should be disgraced out of office if we had any virtue called transparency. That is why many people are calling this fight against corruption a witchhunt program. During his time, Nigeria became so insecure, that even here on Nairaland, the series of killing, abduction, and crime rate became a constant on the front page. Let this change and fight against corruption not become a mockery in the end. The previous administration was booed at and called all sort of names by this administration, now we all can witness how selected individuals are celebrated while some few are punished for their crimes.
We have no record of how much the Nigerian police force realize at the end of the year. EFCC has recently listed some cash in their custody, but what about the police? They should continu

I am team Buhari on this fight against corruption. Well, still on the corruption saga i will like to comment on the issue of the first lady and Fayose. I am not taking side with anyone. "Freeze" might have had da point right there in the previous topic, but then come to think of it. Did the first lady feel guilty over Fayose's statement? if she referred to him as a mad dog, who responds to a mad dog? is there no other presidential adjective classy people use to express their disapproval of something or someone? Now, could this be the reason why the president does not want the office of the first lady? Patience Jonathan was made a caricature of illiteracy, but she hardly clapped back. This is the first time someone has ever called Aisha out and voila, our first lady didn't waste a minute to call a governor a mad dog. Her fingers proved that she is an online addict who reads updates on the suffering and pains in the country. During the Ese Oruru search her voice was missing. Obi Ezekwesili was more vocal and still is on issues concerning women and children. Aisha's tweeter handle does not represent that of the first lady of a couintry like Nigeria. She is only pictured giving out money or gifts indoors, but isn't she supposed to be out there for us? Do we all remember Stella Obasanjo? Do we all see clips of Michelle Obama or no? She threatened to face Fayose even if her husband cannot. This is the woman we all claim has class. or, was the comparison to Patience Jonathan? Now, let us imagine if she had been as active in politics as patience Jonathan was.... It is still a question mark. Could the class we all talked about simply be an acronym for classroom? A typical case of who's watching the watcher? Mr IG we have seen your predecessors come and gone and we have noticed similar traits in them. You have been in the system and the system has benefitted you to this level. we do not expect anything less from you. From operation sweep to operation freeze and operation kill, we have survived them all. Charity they say begins at home. You may look so clean in this picture, but let us take a trip to the barracks where your boys call residence. We can begin our judgment from there. Before you can cleanse the society of corruption, your barracks would need that and more. What is the state of the average policeman? Who watches over you and over them? IG, we are watching how your act will unfold.

you still having a miss on all points. Who PG epp? be the best in what you do. name lists of successful Nigerians and tell me who PG helped. you have the mind of a poor child in Africa. who told you PG makes one the best? Many professionals you see around already set a high standard before going for their PG's. Your best is in you. Many of those people you think are different from you are only paper different. They do not have what you have. My people, if you cannot afford a PG you can afford another PG(Personal Goal). Do not ever feel low because someone has a PG and you dont. In the field you may be more advantageous to you company and you may earn higher depending on how you prove yourself worthy. Back in days a n ex-colleague had 2 masters, but I was more efficient and knowledgeable in problem solving. that gave me a recognition. It takes you to succeed not your PG.
My message here is feel confident, feel you are the best and always push yourself to the top.

This isn't what we, Nigerians need. We have seen several trips to sites that never get inaugurated. In this change, let us change 'we will complete', or 'we are completing', to "we have completed". enough of these raising hopes. we have suffered enough. inspecting sites that works have not yet started is just a mockery. The money invested on this visit alone can settle workers wage for the day. We are not fools, we have seen projects done elsewhere in the world. Fashola mustn't be on ground at this phase of the project. There are people paid to report progress of sites works. We want to see him at the last phase of the completion stage. We want to see him launching the completed projects for public usage. We are simply tired of watching videos and pictures of words of mouth and men we appointed to do jobs without seeing the jobs. so far so good, he should be reporting of the progress phase of the project and not inspecting a mausoleum. Mausoleum has no economic contribution to us at this time. do not try to please Biafrans by immortalizing someone whose history is indelible in Nigeria. A monument for Zik must not be in the eastern region. it can also be in Lagos. or Akwa Ibom. He served as a Prime Minister and political lord in those states. We cannot remain fools forever. let us see completion of works and not commencement

I do love and appreciate seeign people from humble beginning being successful doing things that are legit. Olajumoke is indeed an inspiration to many in the street today. Help actually comes from anywhere regrdless of what you do. The basic fact is, put yourself out there. Sell anything your hands find to sell. Dont sit home and expect the rain penetrate your roof. Hustle legit and hustle hard. Personally, Olajumoke would not be classified int he league of professional models, but her story is a model for million and that alon emakes her fit in. Comparing this picture to the others, i would say this is the most "stand out" shot ever taken of her. we are africans and they should not force to have a pointed nose. our personal definition of beauty lies in our eyes. She is beautiful and she must not look like Agbani to feel beautiful. No one should drag her facial look to dust, cos' she came out as everyone of us. I pray our own blessings come in our own times and not wait too long hug us. Olajumoke, just be yourself.

nopes! i have never said that. But PDP had 16 years to transform the country and they siphoned it rather. APC is only a year old in power. why not let them have their own fair share of liberty to operate the way PDP did for close to 2 decades? i do not stand in favour of any of the parties, but it is quite unjust for PDP to come out strong against APC after just 14 months. They can do their own quota to support Nigeria, by using their stolen funds to build housing for the low-income earners

PDP should be rusticated by the FG. They are just a group of criminals that should be serving jail times for crimes against the people of Nigeria. How long can we go on celebrating criminals? At this point, PDP should hide in shame and bury their heads.

those words, might be a little too judgemental especially coming from a man like Charly. back in the days he was one of those who pioneered alternative lisfestyle by dressing wierd, piercing his body and acting so gay. he was disowned by his own father back in the day cos his values are unacceptable to the average Africans. at that time there was some moral in our culture and he enjoyed the fame and money that came from people who celebrated his craziness. why would he, today, judge these "lot of women in abuja? they are seeking alternative lifestyle to survive economic hardship. If Charly had been a woman he would have done something worse than that. there are people we criticise today that he celebrates, e.g Denrele. in our society today, sex for money is already a way of life, but we have not truly come to term with his pattern of dressing and probably his lifestlye. Charly, thanks for your observation, but sit down and say no more!

we are being myopic. these celebrities that we celebrate do not care at all about us. they are simply making their money. people like angelina Jolie has donated millions of dollars to Africa and yet she feels that isnt enough, but she adopted kids from africa and gave them hope. how many times has Genevieve visited an orphanage in her own hometown in Imo state? Biafrans are killed because people like refuse to lend their voices. Arent they humans? when they are sick the poor contribute for their treatment out of pity, but now she is posing with hermes? and you want us to celebrate? i am not hating, but if you cant tell me my mistakes then you are worse than my enemies. she has to give back. people bought her movies to put her there. in this time of economic hardship you are asking us hungry Nigerians to spot out who rocked a designer bag that its cost is equivalent to a capital that one can use to establish a firm in Imo state ? you just spoke my mind. and that is why i am out to speak about. because a lot of us claim ignorance when we sell ourselves to foreigners and we dish out unfair treaments to our brothers. my brother, modern racism is nothing compared to tribalism. who hasnt been there cannot understand.
nyben4eva:

It's better to face racism in a foreign land than to face tribalism in your country.Nigerians are worse than white racists.Bigotory can't even let us live amongst ourselves let alone with other tribes. All Nigerians calling the whites racists are all hypocrites.
Family / Re: American Woman's Father Accepts Her Nigerian Husband Finally by change49gerians: 10:05pm On Jun 20, 2016
Well, that is racism in play perhaps. we cannot judge on what ground why he refused to accept the man, but the grandkids?? he may have been looking out for the interest of his daughter, but for rejecting his own grandkids, i will want to believe it has something to do with racism. Many Africans and Nigerians are going through this and even worse situations abroad. We are happy that he finally accepted them, but for him the big question will be, will they accept him? he has been absent for the most part of their lives and now, presumably the first daughter is about 18 years and, she has a whole lot to look forward to in life. I admire the man for sticking with her through the rumbles and the white lady as well for her sacrifice to follow love down to Nigeria and adapt to life here. We celebrate this one cause it is a happy story.

you made things even worse for her and for all Nigerians. how does having a bad image connect to her question? the man is in a relationship already and she is going in as a mistress. do not blame the man. for she knows about his current relationship. tomorrow do not blame it on any Nigerian. you met a man and he is a man period. being Nigerian has nothing to do with being in love. men are same all over the world.we do not have the highest divorce rate or the highest single women in the world. save us some image here please.
as for you miss colored SA, I have been to J'burg two times and i dont see your men marrying you either. If you love the Nigerian man and want to dip your head in love, be ready for whatever comes out of it. we cannot predict the heart of the man. many Nigerians end up with foreign wives, many do not and the case is similar to people all over the world. Study the man you claim to love and do not shatter your fellow girl's relationship and hope for yours not to be shattered by someone else in the future. if the man is engaged to someone else, then go find your own man. As for dowry, if it is not paid, then the girl is not traditionally married. she is free to marry another man.
cynthia123:
Sweedy, its nice to throw up this question to Nigerians.

I will advice you do not have full trust in him. Do you know why?

We Nigerians have a bad image outside the country (though not all of us are bad)

Throw up alot of test to see how sincere he is to you.

As for the lobola (dowry), how did you know he broke up with the lady?

Is that what he told you? And you believed him?

Am not tryna doubt the man but since you have been through a lot of heart breaks

i sincerely do not want this to end up the same way.

it could have been a nice thing for anyone to say, but PDP. PDP has been reduced to a pressure group. But they are being too critical and this makes their arguments invalid. If for nothing, PDP as a party should be rusticated for 16 faithful years for the harm they have caused to the common man in this country. They stole the money collectively. The recovered money could have been in the pockets of vile looters and vain criminals. Thanks to Buhari and the change morpheme.
