A young man from Akwa Ibom state, Ekomobong Finbarr, constructed and defended this solar powered tricycle (Keke) as his first degree project in Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, (FUTO), Owerri. According to reports, the tricycle has no engine, just battery and the solar system and can go 11km without blinking.

His Head of Department, Mr. Damian Dike with his colleague Dr. Mrs. Achumba enjoyed the first cruise of the Keke.

A terrible accident just occurred earlier today at Fiditi area in Oyo state. The fatal accident reportedly claimed nothing less than four persons including the driver who were on their way to Ibadan for a church program. According to a witness, one of the passengers who got out of their vehicles to assist the injured victims was also killed by another bus whose break developed fault . May their souls rest in peace.

A young man suddenly went from 'hate to love' within seconds while blasting a lady for her donning a cleavage-popping attire to church today. The lady revealed on her Facebook page -how she was "forced" to leave a church she attended today due to disapproving looks she got from its members. According to her, her offences were --not covering her hair and the jeans pants she wore...

A Facebook user not liking what he saw -sent her series of messages via inbox to blast and bash her for trying to "tempt men in church" with her revealing outfit. Within seconds, the man went tactical as he professed his love for her. The lady shared the screenshots of their chat in a bid to shame him.

Rangers at the Yankari national park are jubilating over the capture of most notorious poacher, Baushe Bello, who was arrested earlier this week in Plateau State. Bello has now been transferred to the Police CID Department in Bauchi.

According to sources, he was responsible for the murder of Yankari ranger, Hussaini Adamu Pau, in 2012 – and for the attempted murder of several other rangers, shot and wounded during numerous shoot-outs with Bello and his gang inside the reserve.

It is unknown how many elephants Bello has killed during his career but it is likely to be significant. He was the self-styled leader of a gang of hardened and ruthless poachers who had threatened to kill any ranger on sight, boasting that he could never be captured.

Bello has been on security's watch list for many years, but evaded capture by constantly shifting his location and rarely staying in one village for very long.

His arrest was made possible through close collaboration between police, Yankari rangers and WCS. Hussaini Adamu Pau made the ultimate sacrifice, he can now finally rest in peace.

A young man and his ganged allegedly robbed a man returning from a church vigil at 3rd junction in Benin city, Edo state. According to an online report, luck ruck out on him during the operation as he was the only one apprehended. He was finally taken by police officers from Ugbekun police division -after being beaten to pulp by the angry mob.

Yesterday, some militants in Rivers state "black zone", Gokana Local Government Area, surrendered their "sophisticated" weapons, charms and other items to the Amnesty committee -in an event graced by different security agencies.

Now mixed feelings have trailed this act -considering the type of weapons that were recovered from the militants, knowing how dangerous the region is.

According to reports, Gokana LGA has been the bloodiest in the past one year -recording series of assassinations and politically motivated killings. Dr Vyncent Eebee, a lecturer with the Rivers State Polytechnic and a chieftain of APC was gunned down by a gang of dare-devil gunmen in that area and some other APC chieftains.
