A Nigerian man has narrated his encounter with former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi, on a train in the United Kingdom. The man revealed how awed he was by the politician's simplicity.

We do not know each other, but I follow you closely on Facebook. I am from Anambra though I live in the UK. I have heard so much about our former Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.

We became more interested in him after the platform speech. Even in my work place, Nigerians there debated the speech. We agreed that if indeed all he said were reflection of his life, that we have at last discovered a NIgerian fit to be entrusted with national leadership. Though some of us swore that that was how he lived, some of us, including me, were are a bit skeptical.

Today, this morning, as I was in a train going to work, he entered and at first stand when all seats were occupied. He later sat down. Out of curiosity of meeting a Nigerian of his status scrambling for train, I got his pictures.

There is nothing wrong with entering train like every other person. In the UK and others climes, former high government officers join public transport and are happy. In fact this is one of the reasons they strive to lead well, because what they provided would be what they will enjoy.

In the UK, what former Governors and others do is to cruise around city in limousines.

After the snapping, I went to meet Mr. Obi who told me that he would stop at Green Park and that he was going for Commonwealth meeting at Marlborough House. It was happy I met and engaged him.

The Priest of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Owerrri, Rev. Canon Chinemerem Uche, who celebrated the Independence Day anniversary at a refuse dump on Douglas road in Owerri, Imo state -has been sent on transfer. The Priest who has served for 9 years (April 2007- October 2016) at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit Imo State University Owerri has been transferred to the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of our Lord CATOL, Owerri as Curate.

Confirming his transfer, Revd. Chinemerem Uche shared some photos on his Facebook page with the below message.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. This is to humbly inform you of my posting (transfer) from the Chapel of the Holy Spirit Imo State University Owerri to the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of our Lord CATOL, Owerri as Curate. It has been nearly 10 years of ministry in the campus. (April 2007-2016)"

A proud farmer is currently trending online after photos of his massive cassava tubers went viral. According to the man from Ohaji in Imo state, neighbours who have been visiting his farm -testified that his farm produce are the biggest they have ever seen. As expected, the man has been hailed by online users who are amazed by the big tubers.

Frank Obodo shared the below on his Facebook page;

I am proud to be an Ohaji man (food basket of the Imo State). A tuba of my cassava weighed 30kg, only 3 stems of cassava in my farm gave me one basin of garri. The produce attracted neighborhoods to see for themselves as many testified dat my farm produced d highest ever witnessed since they were born. I give God all d glory for giving me in abundance.

There is an ongoing heated debate online concerning the "outrageous" price of a massive fish was which was caught by fishermen recently at Ggaba Landing site in Uganda. According to a report, the fish which weighed 205Kgs was sold at Shs4.2 million (over $1200 i.e nearly N500,000).

But the price tag did not go down well with online users who are currently debating on the trending photos -with most saying the price should be Shs2.4 million (which is nearly $700 i.e N300,000). Whatever the actual price is, it still costs more than the new iPhone 7 which costs nearly $700.
