The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Kaduna Zonal office has investigated a case of conspiracy and theft reported to the Commission by an exceptional father.

The father (name witheld) in April 2017 became a whistle blower after his son (then a secondary school student) intimated him that he had bought a house and a shop valued over N2 Million (Two Million Naira) only.

The information of the purchase shocked the father beyond his imagination as such he decided to make a formal complain to the Commission having perceived signs of fraud from his son's explanantion of how he got the money.

His son, Adamu, said he got the money through his phone line which after purchase he began receiving alerts running into millions of Naira.

Investigations into the matter began immediately and all parties involved were invited accordingly and their statements were taken as the principal accused person mentioned two other accomplicies in the crime.

In the course of investigations, it was discovered that Adamu withdrew monies in bits from a First Bank account number 3033389599 owned by one Porong Daniel Nash (a farmer in plateau state); and credited same to different accounts.

Consequently, all accused persons where arrested and recoveries were made to the tune of N939,000 (Nine Hundred and Thirty Nine Thousand Naira) only of which same was returned to the rightful owner by the Zonal Office.

A Nigerian man has shared an embarrassing condition of a hospital where his step-mother is currently being treated. The man identified as Daudu Isah Marafa shared a picture of his step-mother hospitalised - with a stick used to hang her drip instead of a clinical stand.

According to him, the picture was taken at the female ward of the General hospital in Zuru local government area in Kebbi State.

He took to Facebook to share the picture with the caption, "This is general hospital Zuru female ward were my step mother is currently admitted look at the facilities".

Other online users reacted to the embarrassing image as they called on the state governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to equip the hospital and provide them with basic facilities.

The couple who made headlines some days ago after their wedding pictures hit the internet, are currently on their honeymoon. 

The photos which were shared by a Facebook user, went viral on social media for obvious reasons as the bride looked gloomy and unhappy while tying the knot to a much shorter man. 

In the new pictures, the new wife looked very happy as she spent quality time with her man. The couple also kissed while posing for the camera to show the public all is well.

Here's an update on the passenger bus that veered off a flooded bridge and plunged into a river in Rivers state. The incident happened on Tuesday, October 16, along (Akala Olu) Okogbe-Mbiama axis, East-West road of Ahoada West local government area of the state.

Report has it that some corpses have been recovered from the river yesterday and identified by their relatives. 

The recovered victims are Wasini Patience and Nnena Achegbu.

The corpses have been deposited in a mortuary.

Other items found in the river:
- Vehicle head lamp
-Female hand bands with one phone inside.

The Items were handed over to Road Safety Personnel of Akinima unit command who were present at the scene.

The rescue mission is still ongoing.

Pictured is the governor of Kano state, Umar Ganduje and Jaafar Jaafar, an investigative journalist and publisher of DailyNigerian online platform, who exposed and released videos of the governor purportedly receiving bribe to the tune of $5 million after he was caught on a spy camera.

This was when the going was good between the governor and the journalist as he was hosted at the Kano state government house.

Two videos released - captured show governor Ganduje, receiving part of $5m bribe from a contractor and stuffing them in his pockets.

The first video was released to the public on Sunday while the second, on Monday.

The money was part of tranches received amounting to about $5million from contractors in the state.

According to Daily Nigerian, contractors said that the governor personally receives from 15 to 25 percent kickbacks for every project executed in the state.

The governor has vehemently denied the bribe allegations as he said the videos were doctored.

An old man was attacked and brutally killed along a bush part in Ayogwiri community in Edo State. The killers suspected to be ritualists beheaded the victim and reportedly harvested some of his organs including his manhood. 

The corpse was left along the bush path with the severed head and the purported murder weapon. 

A Facebook user identified as Shadrack Okpomhe shared the sad report as he accused a young man of being responsible for the murder. He also alleged that the suspect is currently on the run. 

Shadrack wrote; 

Its saddening how human being became to demonic and evil minded.This happened in Ayogwiri community in Edo State, the fair boy by your right was said to have murdered this old man and harvested his body parts (Head as you can see in the picture) also his manhood for rituals.

He is said to be on the run.To bad the world we are into right now too bad for the hunger and want for money has made many young guys go mad.

Why didn't he make an attempt on his father, mother or sister ?

Another Facebook user identified as Ogbebede Blessing Julius who claims to be a relative of the deceased, confirmed the report. She wrote; Dis as never happen in my village before ,,,dis is just unbelievable ...he is my bros..d soul not rest in peace until he fetch out all of them to justice..

According to reports, a final year student Auchi Polytechnic in Edo state, is said to have gone missing for days now. The student of Mass Communication identified as Isaac and popularly known as 'Fela', reportedly went missing some days ago and has not been seen yet as no one knows his whereabouts. 

Report has it that the young man is set to graduate next week as his course mates and others can't be able to reach him. 

One of his colleagues identified as Ramsey Linx took to Facebook to lament over Isaac's disappearance.

A man was rushed to the hospital after he was impaled by a sharp rod in his stomach. A Facebook user simply identified as Paul revealed that the victim was working on a site before the unfortunate incident and didn't give the exact location where it happened. 

The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment with the rod in his stomach as his current condition after the removal is yet to be determined. 

Few months ago, it was reported that a man was rushed to a hospital in Kano state with a big nail in his throat after he was attacked by two hoodlums who have been arrested.

The man identified as Alhaji Auwalu, was attacked by two young men who wanted to rob him of his vehicle. He was stabbed with a big nail in his throat before absconding.

The man appeared very calm even after he was brought to the hospital for treatment.

A young boy was seriously injured by his own mother for refusing to eat ‘fufu’ (a cassava meal). The woman, simply identified as Mrs. Celestine, was said to have beaten up her son, Tochukwu, until blood gushed out of his head.

The incident occurred last week at Ijeshatedo area in Surulere, Lagos. 

It was gathered that neighbours, who intervened and stopped her from further beating up the boy, accused the woman of always venting her frustration on her children.

The boy, who confirmed that he and his siblings usually suffered physical abuses from their mother, however, pleaded that she should not be arrested.

It was scooped that there was a night Mrs. Celestine beat up one of her children until he bled from ears.

The neighbours reported the incident at the police station and Mrs. Celestine was arrested, cautioned and released.

Here are pictures of the man who was killed during an attack by suspected hoodlums on governor Aminu Tambuwal’s motorcade on Saturday. The victim identified as Imran Ahmad-Alkanci, was on his way home after visiting family relations when the incident happened.

According to reports, the 22-year-old was trying to get a commercial motorcycle when the stray bullet hit him during the corpse.

It was gathered that the PDP had organised a reception rally to welcome Tambuwal after his failed attempt to secure the 2019 presidential ticket of the party.

The governor was received by a crowd of supporters at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto and went in a motorcade to the government house.

The event was, however, not-hitch free as political thugs armed with dangerous weapons destroyed billboards, building structures and vehicles bearing inscriptions of the opposition party.

The motorcade was then forced to stop along Gawon Nama, near the resident of senator Aliyu Wamakko, when another set of mobs carrying arms confronted it.

It took the efforts of security operatives to get it moving again.

Libya national football team arrived Nigeria yesterday for Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Super Eagles. The game is scheduled to kick off 4pm Nigerian time, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

According to a report by OwnGoal Nigeria, the Libyan delegation alleged rejected the accommodation provided by their host the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF). They reportedly turned down the accommodation that was provided to them by NFF officials. 

The Libyans arrived with a 50-man delegation, but declined the hotel Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, which was reserved for them.

They arrived for training at the venue of today’s game and spent an hour working out on the pitch before engaging in drills and tactical training ahead of the match.

Owngoalnigeria revealed that their decision to reject the accommodation provided by NFF is in line with their fear that Nigeria could use fetish means to bewitch them before the game, according to a source.  

The Libyan team also changed their arrival date to Friday instead of Thursday using their national carrier to land in Uyo rather than Lagos as earlier planned.

Adel Amrouche, the immediate past coach of Libya aimed a dig at Nigeria immediately after their 0-0 draw against South Africa by saying the Nigerians use black magic (voodoo) in games. He later apologised for his statement saying he was quoted out of context.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, and his team have departed Abeokuta, Ogun state, after paying a political visit to former president Olusegun Obassanjo earlier today. 

Atiku who was accompanied by religious leaders including Ahmad Gumi, a Kaduna-based Islamic cleric; Mathew Kukah, Catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese; David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, - visited his former boss at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun state, on Thursday for political consultation after winning the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election over the weekend. 

Uche Secondus, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gbenga Daniel, former governor of Ogun state, and Ben Murray-Bruce, were among the top politicians who visited Obasanjo.

A young man was severely dealt with after allegedly disguising as a lady in order to have with with a fellow man. The young man who is alleged to be a homosexual, was caught while having anal sex with an unidentified person after dressing up as a lady to 'fool his victim'. 

A trending video which was posted online earlier today - shows the moment the man was being beaten by angry resident after he was nabbed.

He was beaten and slapped while being dragged in public to a police station, according to reports.

The Presiding Bishop of Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries, Prophet Wale Olagunju who is known for his predictions, is trending on social media after some of the prophecies which was made in January 2017, came to pass recently. 

The cleric predicted that there will be a serious fight between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Muhammadu Buhari, a forecast that has come to fulfilment following series of criticisms between the duo.

The prophet also predicted the death of veteran entertainer, Yoruba comedian and actor, Moses Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala, who reportedly died in his sleep recently after taking his supper in Ilesa, Osun State at the age of 82. 

The cleric also predicted that governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos would be at loggerheads with the elite, a prophecy which came to pass again recently. Governor Ambode, lost at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Lagos State governorship primary following rift between APC national leader, Bola Tinubu and other party executives. 

The prophet also predicted that Atiku Abubakar would contest against president Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 election and win him hands down. Atiku emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election held over the weekend in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state.
