The painful part of his death is that he died on Wednesday, March 21st, while his promotion letter was released on Thursday morning......

A 7-year-old boy, Maina Bukar was kidnapped by suspected ritualist on Saturday 17/3/2018 at Ngomari Kare Kili area of Borno state. The little boy who is a Sangaya Student popularly known as Almajiri, was abducted and had his eyes plucked out by his captor.

According to the boy's father who narrated what happened, the boy was asked to bring water for ablution by the suspected ritualist, he kindly did as directed. He was again asked to escort the ritualist to a nearby village. He obeyed, and was taken to the bush where he was asked to wait in the bush while the suspect excuse himself to urinate.

He then came back and told the poor boy that he would slaughter him.

The boy reportedly replied him saying; " Don't slaughter me because my teacher would not leave me". He then tied the boy down and ripped out his two eyes.

The boy sustained multiple knife injuries in his stomach and his thigh. He is currently on admission at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital UMTH.

Purple Heart Foundation in collaboration of Better Jere Initiative donated the sum of 100,000 Naira to the parents to aid the boy's medical treatments.

It's a very sad moment for the family and friends of a 400 level undergraduate student of the department of Banking and Finance, Imo State University - after she was shot dead by unknown assailants. According to reports, the deceased identified as Miss. Ibeh Kelechi Assumpta a.k.a KC who is expected to graduate in August - was shot dead on her birthday on Wednesday, 21st March (yesterday) by unknown gunmen...


It was revealed that her family whom she lived with before the untimely death - were devastated and heartbroken at the Douglas Owerri scene Wednesday evening where the tragedy occurred over yet to be disclosed issue.

According to the brother of the late student who confirmed the tragedy "She was suppose to graduate this year, someone picked a gun, pointed at her, pulled the trigger, she fell in the pool of her blood".

Confirming the sad news also, the departmental president Cmrd Victor Adiele issued an official statement to Imsu Info-media scope where he expressed bitterness and shock over the sudden demise. The notification reads;

"It's a black Thursday for entire students of banking and finance." "With tears of agony, bitterness, the entire students of NABAFS mourn the death of their beloved colleague, course mate, friend, sister Ibeh Kelechi Assumpta (Kay cee) , a 400 level student, soon to be graduate by August, who was shot dead yesterday 21st March by unknown"

"Yesterday happens to be her 23rd birthday celebration. So unfortunately she weren't able to celebrate her day to d end."

A Brazilian man identified as Mr. Ricardo Luis da Silva Saldanha,has been initiated into the origin of the Yoruba ancient sacred Sango religion after being consecrated for a period of 17 days. The Brazilian was initiated the Sango Koso entities in Oyo state.

According to reports, the initiation which happened last year in Oyo - was officially recognized and approved by the Alaafin of Oyo. The official initiation certificate was also signed and approved by the Alaafin of Oyo and Sango community.

The Lagos State Police Command has dismantled a major fraud haven situated at No. 48, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, and operated by a 26-year-old cyber criminal cum fraud kingpin, Samuel Olowobola Gboyega.

His arrest followed a petition addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Edgal Imohimi, by one Antonio Kaplanis of the Embassy of Greece, Abuja, alleging that the suspect had fraudulently obtained huge sums of money from unsuspecting Nigerians seeking visa to travel to Europe by claiming to be an employee of the Embassy of Greece with a mandate to make visa procurement easy for applicants.

Sequel to the above, the CP Lagos deployed crack detectives from the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) to fish out the culprit and his partners in crime. The detectives swung into action immediately the order was given. They located the suspect's hideout and carried out a sting operation on him. During the operation, some Nigerian passports, laptops and other visa related documents were recovered from the criminal's operating theatre.

Further scrutiny of the laptop confirmed that there were documents in the notepad that had different embassy visas and their respective price tags. It was also seen that the said Samuel Olowobola Gboyega made false presentations through publications on his website: www.kukutravels.com, attaching the name of Embassy of Greece to it.

The CP noted with sadness that the activities of the young man had dented the image of the nation and greatly embarrassed the Embassy of Greece in Nigeria. He warned people behind this kind of crime to have a rethink or have the law to contend with.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been charged to court for the offences he committed.

A Nigerian couple, Alfred Jr. and his beautiful wife seem like just another ordinary couple. However, they were among the returning migrants recently arrived from Libya last week, under the EUTF-IOM joint initiative for migrant protection and reintegration in Nigeria. Alfred, who is from Enugu in the South East Nigeria while his wife, is a native of Abuja in the Northern part of the country, both met while he was drilling a borehole in her town.

Alfred, apparently shortly after drilled his way into her heart and fondly calls her ‘’Obim’’. The couple who had their 2 kids in Libya, left Nigeria in 2012, shortly after their marriage. However life in Libya was not as rosy as he imagined. The reality hit him when he realized he couldn’t make a decent living.

‘I didn’t know it was bad. We couldn’t make a living. Literally, we starved. I couldn’t put food on the table. I knew it was really bad when I heard about some Libyans selling people off like goats”

He started yearning for home. Then, he heard about IOM and their assistance to Nigerians through the Nigerian foreign ministry, who want to return home. He jumped at the opportunity. Now that he is back to Nigeria, he plans to get back to his old business and make something out of it. He advises other Nigerians

“Stay home and do what is best. Make a living here. If you don’t have what it takes to travel properly, it’s not worth it.”

An unidentified man was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Owerri, Imo state capital on Saturday yesterday. According to reports, the man's wife was shot in the process of the abduction but she luckily survived. An online user Abolaji Yusuf shared the sad news via Twitter.

The police have paraded two men said to be members of an armed gang terrorising Kogi State. The police said the suspects have confessed to being provided weapons and financial support by Dino Melaye, a senator from the state.

The development could further complicate the ongoing political crisis that has seen Mr. Melaye and Governor Yahaya Bello enmeshed in bitter confrontations over the state’s political structure.

A statement by police spokesperson Jimoh Moshood said the suspects, identified as Kabiru Saidu and Nuru Salisu, were paraded on Monday in Lokoja, the state capital.

During interrogation, they further confessed they were Political Thugs recruited by some mischievous Politicians in Kogi State to cause mayhem, and disruption of peace, and destruction of lives and property in the State. They also confessed to belonged to the gang of a dreaded and vicious kidnap for ransom gang under a gang leader (name withheld) whose where about is being investigated by the Force. The two suspects were identified by some of their victims.

According to the gang leader KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS” he has been working as a Political Thug for one Alh. Mohammed Audu a Politician in the State. They said Alh. Mohammed Audu invited him to Abuja and introduced him to Senator Dino Melaye and they met on Airport road, Abuja inside the Senator Dino Melaye’s Car in the month of December, 2017. The suspect further confessed that, Sen. Dino Melaye told him that they should start working for the Senator as his Political Thugs and they should recruit and train more other thugs to work for him in preparation toward 2019 General election to enable him ( Sen. Dino Melaye ) challenge his political opponents and disorganized Kogi State.

The gang leader KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS” further confessed to the Police investigative team that Senator Dino Melaye handed over a bag containing the following firearms one (1) AK47 rifle, two (2) Pump Action guns and the sum of four hundred and thirty thousand naira N430,000.00 to share with his boys.

Consequent on the indictments and criminal confessions against Senator Dino Melaye by the principal suspect KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS” Nigeria Police Force, wrote a letter dated 2nd of March, 2018 addressed to the Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria informing and requesting him to release Senator Dino Melaye to report to Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command on the 7th March, 2018 to answer to criminal offences levelled against him, to enable the Police carry out a discreet investigation into the confessions of the principal suspect against Senator Dino Melaye. But Senator Dino Melaye have refused to honour the Police invitation till date.

Former NURTW boss, Rafiu Akanni alias Olorunwa, who was alleged to have contracted notorious assassin, Adeola Williams a.k.a 'Ade Lawyer, to kill his rival - has regained freedom to the jubilation of his family and friends.

According to reports, the serial assassin who revealed he has killed over 100 people - made a self confession recently exonerating popular former NURTW BOSS from murder allegations leveled against him over the assassination attempt on Kunle Poly which led to the death of his personal assistant.

Ade Lawyer was arrested by the police after weeks of manhunt over the assassination of one Ganiyu Ayinla as he took responsibility not just for Ayinla’s death but also for others in Lagos and other parts of the Southwest.

A manhunt launched by the police resulted in the arrest of Williams in his newly rented apartment in Akure, Ondo State. Police sources revealed that upon interrogation, he confessed to the assassination of Ayinla and numerous other victims in the Southwest.

Williams was quoted as saying that Olohunwa hired him to kill Lawal with a promise to pay him N1.5 million for the job, with N500,000 as advanced payment, while the remaining N1 million would be paid after the assassination.

It turned out, however, that the hired assassin and his gang members erroneously killed Ayinla as he rode in the same car with Lawal, who miraculously escaped with bullet wounds. The mix-up, Williams said, caused Olohunwa to withhold the balance of N1 million, forcing him to confiscate Olohunwa’s SUV until he would pay the outstanding sum.

Although he denied sponsoring Ayinla for any assassination assignment, Olohunwa was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT). The police also said that efforts were being made to arrest the remaining members of William’s killer gang.

A Nigerian man based in Abuja, Che Oyinatumba, has weighed in on the Fulani herdsmen crisis which has been rocking the country for some time now - after meeting a Fulani cattle rearer earlier today. According to him, when a cow is attacked, the 'ordinary' herdsmen will notify the owner of the cow. The owner will now tell armed bandits who will finally raid the attacker's village or area and wreck havoc.

Che Oyinatumba who shared pictures of his meeting with the herder - said the solution to the herdsmen crisis is honesty and the political will by the federal government.

To solve herdsmen-community problem, is easy. All that is required is honesty and political will by the Federal Government as; Every cow, has an owner; Every owner knows where his cow is; It is not calculus or atomic physics for Government to know whose cow entered whose farm and the next day a village is raided!!

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, have arrested and seized a trailer truck full of codeine syrup. According to information gathered, the arrest was made yesterday at Funtua area command of Katsina state.

The seized drugs were taken to the state command for processing and investigation.

Although the drug is not illegal but some Nigerians have abused cough syrup in a bid to get high - hence the tight scrutiny from security operatives.

A young lady who was trafficked through the Mediterranean desert via Libya into Europe for prostitution - has begged her Madam identified as Queen Godwin to let her go. According to a report by Aolat Oluwatomisin, Jennifer was billed to pay Queen €35,000 of which she had paid €30,000 remaining €5,000 (all this money was paid out of Jennifer's proceeds from prostituting herself as she was compelled to).

Jennifer is refusing to pay her Madam Queen the €5,000 remaining because last week, the Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare 11, placed a curse on perpetrators of human trafficking in Edo state as well as native doctors who administer oath of secrecy on victims, asserting that the gods of Benin Kingdom would destroy those involved in the illicit trade.

Being that Edo indigenes respect the Oba/throne and fearful of the resultant effects of the Oba's curses placed on perpetrators of this ill trade, poor Jennifer is caught in the middle but the madam said Oba's curses does not apply to her and Jennifer has to pay the €5,000 remainder else she will diabolically effect mental health issues on her.

According to reports, the Madam has Jennifer's panties and pubic hair in her possession which she is using to threaten her.

There was pandemonium yesterday in Bethel Nursery/Primary school in Sapele area of Delta state after a woman who just gave birth two weeks ago - stormed the school yesterday morning to flog the bursar after her children were not allowed to write exams because they didn't pay their school fees.

It was gathered that the woman's husband had made trouble and threatened the headmistress few days ago over the same issue.

The woman allegedly even bit one of the teachers who was trying to restrain her from flogging the bursar.

According to reports, the teenage girl who is an orphan - was turned to a beggar after thrown out to the street and abandoned by her aunt after accusing her of witchcraft.

The homeless girl was seen in a devastating state along Port-Harcourt Road, after Control, Union Bank before she was picked up by Prince Gwamnishu Harrison who obtained a Police report to enable him take her to the hospital.

According to Prince, he took her to hospital where the test was carried out. She tested positive to HIV after being raped multiple times.

A heated debated has been sparked online after Aliu Sabiu, the speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly reportedly snubbed a woman who was about to shake him. The 34-year-old politician who is said to be the youngest speaker of legislative house in Nigeria - smiled as he allegedly refused to return the woman's handshake.

A media consultant, Na-Allah Mohammed Zagga shared the photo on Facebook as he blasted those celebrating the speaker for the snub due to his religious devotion.

The picture has sparked an argument between Nigerian internet users who shared their opinion online.

Yesterday the House of Representatives considered the report of the Adhoc Committee Investigating the Safety of Carbonated Drinks in Nigeria under the leadership of Femi Gbajabiamila.

The House came up with the following recommendations:

1. That warning label be printed on Fanta and Sprite that the products are harmful when taken with Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) as from January 1, 2019.

2.That NAFDAC should compel producers/manufacturers to indicate all chemicals, acids, colorants and preservatives contained in their products on the packs or bottles no matter how negligible they are as from January 1, 2019.

3. That the regulating agencies be adequately funded by the government to enable them effectively monitor adulteration of all drinks produced and marketed in Nigeria.

4. That Expiry Date must be printed on all carbonated and non-carbonated drinks produced and marketed in Nigeria effective from January 1, 2019.

5. That standard review should be carried out biannually by the Regulating Agencies, particularly Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) partnering with NAFDAC.

6. That the House Committee on Health Services Place Special Attention to NAFDAC.
