A four (4) man Armed Kidnap syndicate who has been terrorizing Aba and its environs has been smashed by Detectives attached to Omoba Division on 19th July, 2017, at Ovungwu, Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area Abia State.

The syndicate had on 18th July, 2017, in Osisioma Ngwa abducted one Onyemaechi Mbamaonyeukwu Ijeoma ‘m’, the Managing Director of Mba Hotels Aba in his ash colour Nissan Infinity Jeep with Reg. No. GWA 807 DH and held him hostage in an uncompleted building at Umuajuju Ovungwu, Isiala Ngwa South LGA while negotiating for ransom.

On a tip off, the Detectives led by their DPO, swooped on the hoodlums’ den where the gang opened fire on sighting them. During a shootout, two of the Kidnappers later identified as Nwadibia and Monday were gunned down while others escaped with bullet wounds. The victim was rescued unhurt and one of the Detectives sustained some injuries.

Items recovered include the victim’s Nissan Infinity Jeep, two (2) motorcycles and four (4) GSM phones. The injured Detective is responding to treatment, victim reunited with his family and man-hunt for the fleeing members of the gang continues.

The Imo State Police Command has declared one Uju Promise Ekene Amadi (male) wanted. He is declared wanted for his involvement in series of Armed Robbery/Kidnapping cases in the State. He was also involved in the attack on Policemen at Nipping Point Nkaraha Junction along Port-Harcourt road Umuagwo where one Inspector Oliver Nwaba was shot.

On 22nd May, 2017, he was arrested by operatives of the command during which, a four count charge was preferred against him and he was subsequently remanded in Owerri Prison on awaiting trial. He was later released by the Court. The suspect has gone back to terrorizing Nkaraha Junction and Ohaji in particular.

Uju Promise Ekene Amadi is 26 years of age and hails from Umuna Umuagwo Mgbisi, Ohaji L.G.A Imo State. He is average height, speaks Igbo and English languages fluently.

He remains wanted until arrested. Any person(s) with any useful information regarding the whereabouts of Uju Promise Ekene Amadi is requested to report to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, State Headquarters Owerri or to the nearest police station please.

A septic tank fell along Iganmu bridge turning towards Eric Moore area of Lagos. The incident which saw no one seriously injured - was controlled by emergency officials who arrived the scene and tried to get it off the road. See photos below;

The 21 year old is the son of the Akwa Ibom state Commissioner for works, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang...

His parents were in the United Kingdom to celebrate his great achievement.

There was a little panic earlier today at the University of Ibadan, Oyo state after a car driven by a student caught fire in front of Queen Elizabeth II Hall. The fire which reportedly started from the engine - would have engulfed the vehicle if not for the swift response of students who were around the vicinity.

The fire was later extinguished as no casualties were recorded.

Kano Police Command arrested a hard drug (Intoxicant) supplier one Stanley Arinze, a resident of Jaba quarters Kano state. The man who is a native of Anambra State reportedly supplies Tramadol tablets to Kano and Republic of Niger.

The tablets worth N19, 200,000 were intercepted after being concealed inside LG Plasma TV Cartons in a trailer along Kano Eastern bye_pass.

To beat Acting president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo's 2 weeks deadline - the minister of works and power Babatunde Fashola has increased the work rate on semi permanent diversion on Mokwa-Jebba. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, visited collapsed Mokwa-Jebba Bridge for on-the-spot assessment in Niger State earlier this month (June 10).

He was accompanied by Niger State Gov, Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello and Min. of Power, Works & Housing, Babatunde Fashola.

Already the federal government has commenced work to make the road passable pending the commencement of work on re-construction of the collapsed Bakino bridge at Tatabu community near Mokwa in Niger State.

A lady is filled with thanks to God after her horrifying encounter with a snake while returning from work with her husband in his car. The woman whose baby was in the back seat - revealed that when she wanted to come out from the vehicle, she saw a big black snake waiting for her on the ground. Out of her instinct, the lady quickly closed the door just when the snake wanted to enter the vehicle as she smashed the reptile to death.... Read her words below;


On that faithful evening, le boo came to carry me from my place of work, it was few minutes past 5pm. I sat at the front seat just beside him, while my baby was sleeping peacefully at the back. We gisted on our way, laughed, chop suya based on logistics all the way. Eventually we drive reach house, make I open door come down from motor. Na long hissing I hear, I decide to take another look before dropping my leg which was by this time suspended on air. My sisters lo and behold na big black snake I see, set and ready to attack.

The way I take draw my leg put back inside motor na only God fit explain am. Omo! My head was spinning fast as I quickly drag the handle of the motor make I close the door, the snake see me o, e know wetin I wan do o, na so e raise body spear come meet me inside motor. But my God who is faster than the fastest snake helped me lock the door just before it could enter the car.

I was shouting and telling hubby to drive back that there is a snake and the snake spear towards me inside the car but my hubby who takes everything as a joke thought I was joking, he started laughing and saying if snake hears sounds it runs away not to talk of a car whose noise is louder than that of a human and that even if it does not run that snake does not pursue someone inside car that what did I do wrong that snake would spear to come and meet me. Eventually he turned around to my direction to see if there was anything there and then he screamed.

"Baby it's there o, don't open your door o" come see me inside the motor, I Donn jump go back seat, carry my baby pass my husband side fly commot for the motor. Little did I know that the devil had already been defeated. When the snake speared to me inside the car, it succeeded in entering with its ugly head but when I locked the door I also succeeded in closing its head in between.

So it's head was inside with its mouth wide opened ready to bite while it's body was outside. God had killed it for me. Everyday I still celebrate my God who did this miracle for me........

A teenage boy has been arrested by East Legon Police for leading a robbery attack on a White businessman at East Legon, Ghana. The 17-year-old boy who has been identified as Sanusi Zibu and another, Abdul Muhammad, 27, tried to rob the foreigner under the pretext of alerting him to check a flat tyre.

When the businessman stopped, the suspects pulled a gun on him and took away his bag which contained GHC 58,000 and $20,000.

Luck however run out on one of them when a motorbike rider chased them, crossed their paths and knocked him down before he was beaten mercilessly by a mob..

This led to the arrest of the young man by the police.

Agbor Gha Ihun security outfit in Delta state yesterday nabbed a 26-year-old man and father of two for stealing an Infinix Hot 4 handset.The phone thief who gave his name as Frank Sunday, confessed that he forcefully took the phone from the owner along Charles Street, Agbor around 9.am in the morning.

He said luck ran out of him as he was later apprehended by members of Agbor Gha Ihun.He promised to turn a new leaf if he is pardoned.

The Deputy Leader of the security outfit and member, Delta Water Ways and Land Security Committee, Mr Monday Kiyem (Maduma) assured residents that they are not going to relent in their fight against crime in the area.
