Lol but do you know there is a type of beans they call oloyin (Honeybeans). When you are served this beans you start asking if they poured in sugar when cooking. I remember back then one of my friends mum sells food. I do patronise their beans then if you taste this beans na so so sugar u go dey taste. I accused my buddy of his mum using sugar to cook their beans but he denied and said he has never for once seen anybody put sugar in the pot during cooking. Until I did my findings and found out it might be the supposed "Honeybeans".

Yeah. In fact that's what I eat but the tiny ones but then it doesn't really taste sugary. Just slightly tasty than other red beans.

Small wonder why a Nigerian woman was the Chief chef of ex President Ellen Sirleaf of Liberia, a Nigerian man owns a big Bread and Ewagoin restaurant in UK...And several restaurants owned by Nigerian in UK some dey say e reach 300 scattered all over UK.

Naija gal self wen no sabi cook at all will be praised as the best cook if she marries a Cameroon or Benin man....

If u no cook yourself for house for Cameroon or Cotonou just be eating snack outside( roasted corn, ube/pear, avocado, groundnut) for your sanity.

You should have asked euy I parboiled the beans before saying it doesn't make sense.

If I don't parboil my beans before cooking, it will disturb my stomach. Like serious stomach upset that I'll be rolling on the floor. I had that experience for long until I watched a program where a doctor confirmed that its unparboiled beans that causes such upset.

Since then I've been parboiling it and I no longer experience that stomach upset.

I could remember when I was in KG and Nursery school,my mum makes it for me early in the morning almost everyday so I can take it to school.Even without opening my food flask my class teacher already knows what is inside it and teases me with it
