kilokeys: though i made jesuis charlie as a dp.
i still think they weren't innocent protraying religious icons in such light.
these men wanted to die as matyrs for what they believed in...
would charlie hebdo's staff choose death gladly over doing caricature cartoons?.. i dont think so.
morale.. never fight a man that has nothing to lose ( and thinks he gains everything if he dies fighting u) It's funny how the Charlie Hebdo journalists are being portrayed as martyrs of journalism when in fact they practised gutter journalism. |

teemy: if someone calls you a violent person and you punch him or calls you a murderer and you kill him it give credence to the accusations. now all western paper houses would have a field day painting islam in a bad light.a trying time for peaceful muslims Why should someone call you a murderer for no reason? Is that right first of all? |
Islam › Re: Did Charlie Hebdo Go Too Far? by Chartey(op): 8:09am On Jan 10, 2015 |
kaybiel2u: op, do u knw dt nobody ridicule islam or muslims bt muslims ridicule demselves. u c, islam is a strange religion or faith to the western world, and islam opposes freedom if u truly knw wat sharia law is all abt. dts y som arab countries dnt go by sharia law, e.g, turki, algeria, egypt, uae, etc. one tin i wl also say is dz, all terrorists are muslims, bt nt all muslims ar terrorist. dz people justify their action from Quran example is Quran 2:214, Dt Is, Fighting Dose Dt Dnt Believ. And Quran 2:256 Says No Compulsion In Religion, Wat A Contradition! I don't understand how your post is directly related to what we're talking about here. |
Islam › Did Charlie Hebdo Go Too Far? by Chartey(op): 6:45am On Jan 10, 2015 |
Na wa o. This Charlie Hebdo thing eh. Many people have condemned the killings and I follow suit. I however want to say that I'm not comfortable with the way people are not talking about the immediate cause. Journalists/satirists have to learn how not to unnecessarily ridicule what people hold dear to heart. A little humour is never bad but the boundaries must always be recognised. Indeed Charlie Hebdo is not a stellar organisation and has had a few bans in the past because of extreme satire. Some people may ask why Catholics and other groups don't attack them. It is because the Muslim population of France is still the most deprived and they hold on strongly to what unites them and gives meaning to their lives. Therefore, their reaction to that kind of attack on their religion will naturally be more exaggerated than how other groups react. This is where the focus must be. It must be really hard to be a Muslim in this our generation, you are ridiculed, betrayed by some few bad eggs, and then the whole body of Islam bears the brunt again. I'm with you my Muslim brethren. My own small take o. Please what do you think? |

Phones › Re: 5 Things You Probably Never Knew Your Mobile Phone Could Do.. by Chartey(m): 11:46pm On Dec 18, 2014 |
macjireh: There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. . Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: FIRST: Emergency The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out... SECOND: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other ' remote ' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)... Editor ' s Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone! ' THIRD: Hidden Battery Power Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
FOURTH: How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone ' s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset.. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won ' t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can ' t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones. FIFTH : ATM - PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location. This information was recently broadcast on CTV by Crime Stoppers however it is seldom used because people just don ' t know about it...... Please pass this along to everyone. This is the kind of information people don ' t mind receiving, so pass it on to your family and friends.

Kemmy210: We go to church to know more abt God,most pple reads bible&interpretes it differently, going to bible believing church will enable one 2learn more abt God,His personality, what&what he want us 2do 4Him.Moreover,His word says where two or more gathered in His name,He is there, therefore one usually have direct encounter in d church unlike home where one can be easily distracted.(Am not talking of churches where members browse&do all sort which can distract them during service). In other words,we go 2church in oda 2av personal encounter with God. You are almost always encouraging people in all your posts. I think you are a nice person. I also think you have found peace in your convictions, therefore I won't give you a reply that will shake your faith. Please stop registering your dissatisfaction with your job online as you employer can accidentally find out. I pray you get a better job and be able to help people as I think you will. Hello everyone, Let me first apologise for not contributing on this thread this year. I also want to congratulate all the admitted students and encourage all the ones not admitted not to feel bad. To those not admitted, there are some other options available which you should be familiar with by now. Some of the science students may be going to SBRS already, some of the arts and social science students may be readying to buy diploma forms and some others may have decided to just wait and rewrite the UTME next year. In anyone you choose, I wish you luck. To those that were admitted, rejoice just a bit. This is only the first step in a long, rough but exciting and rewarding journey. You will need some hard work, much smartness and lots of relevant information for this journey to end very well. For those in the Faculty of Medicine, you need information even more because plenty things dey be like secret, and the earlier you know them the easier your ride. I'll welcome questions from my new faculty mates who can contact me online or offline. You can also contact musty001 as he may be more accessible. I didn't have this privilege as I didn't know anybody in ABU let alone the Faculty before getting to Zaria. Also, if you are from Kwara you can contact me so that we'll welcome you into the KWAMSA family. Finally, if I don't reply your WhatsApp messages and mails immediately, please bear with me as I can be very busy (no be book o) sometimes. Welcome to ABU. |
