Thank you.

sholasholala: Some lazy a** people love topics like this undecided. With the level of lack of seriousness exhibited by students nowadays, articles like this will only give people (young ones especially) reasons not to be serious with their education.
Articles like this is only encouraging to the less privileged. Those who truly cannot afford an education. When you share stories like this with them, at least it gives them hope that despite the fact they never went to school, they can still make it in life.
"I have nothing against education. But at times, education gives people false confidence. It makes people relax, trusting in the power of their certificates rather than in working smart"
-Rosaq Okoya (drop out billionaire owner of Eleganza company).

Tell me what your theory loaded Professors have achieved that this guy is yet to achieve.

Guys, Orji Uzor Kalu was rusticated and he started a profitable business. He became a billionaire and was called to resume but he rejected it.

Rasaq Okoya, owner of Eleganza is a drop out as well.

Stick to what you want from life. Be persistent and be determined.

ifegy: You've asked the same questions over and over, in all your posts to date, and have received many replies, including directly from the US NIV officers. It does seem you are extremely keen to leave the country, and that a 'visit' may not be all that you intend. You should be advised that hoping to use a visit visa to escape is a very big no-no, as you will have an extremely hard time scrambling to survive, if you manage to get there. Plus, such desperation will make you an easy victim of 'visa agents'.
You are an ND student. There are many threads in the travel section that discuss studying abroad in countries with low tuition fees, such as Germany, Finland, etc. Why not face your studies, save the money you're hoping to use for this trip and use it to further your education in these countries, get a solid degree and position yourself to live/work/study in the country of your choice, eventually? That will be far better for you than spending energy trying to figure out some way of getting people you've never met in the US to sponsor your trip, etc. All the best.
oh! Is that your thought? I got different answers from the guys here and offline experts. I don't just understand... My main reason of going there for me is just pleasure. I know how hard it takes for Nigerian Phd holders to start a menial job over there. I am a business owner here with few workers and I am a network marketer as well. Do we have anything bad in having pleasures and seeing other parts of the world again?

charzyh2: Please, I am applying for a tourist visa and I need to know which of these do I choose:
1. Can my business associates, who I am his team leader in Nigeria invite me and also stand as my sponsor? He is a US citizen and I've never met him one on one. We only discuss through calls and chat.

2. Or can my dad who has never travelled be my sponsor? I am an ND graduate and I am just 21. I own two businesses and cater for my parents and siblings. I'm currently having my Industrial Training program in a state Ministry.
So, please, which of the two listed above is much acceptable and advisable to follow?
Please, I need your suggestions and advice. Thank you.

ebele17: Went to the embassy today with my dad. My dad was given multiple entry 2 yr visa while i was given single entry 3 months. Even with all the visa in my passport and my current german visa. The lady said thati was still building my ties in nigeria so that she was giving me because i am going with my dad. If not, she would have rejected me. She asked me how much i earned, i told her. I guess it wasn't enough by her standards and the fact that i am still single. Lol. She asked me about my assets in Nigeria, i told her. She asked me where i worked and for how long, i told her. She asked me how long we want to stay, i told her max of 14 days because of my leave time. She asked my dad where he works, my dad is a retiree. She asked me places i have been too and what i did there, i told her. She could see the entry and exit stamps on mypassport ooo but she still asked. Lol, So we told her. She said my dad is qualified but that i am not but be cause i will be accompanying him, she wil give me 3 months. Lol. I told her thank you, carried my caya and disappeared before she will change her mind. Lol. I was just praying let me not even go to her. She and the other man beside her rejected every body they saw. Everybody oooo!!!!!. Anyway, thank God for everything.
Congrats bro...

Dear VO,
My dad wants to sponsor me to US for tourist visa. We do not have anybody in US so I will book a hotel online.
Since I am 21 and my dad is my sponsor, does age matter in getting a tourist visa?
TravelRe: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by charzyh2: 2:35pm On Aug 18, 2014
abujaniv: As every case is different, we cannot comment on the "chances" of any particular case. Please remember, honesty is always a good policy. If someone qualifies for the visa, they will get it. If they don't qualify for the visa, they won't get it. But if they lie, they won't get it, and open themselves up for all sorts of additional problems.
Thank you very much for your quick reply.
But does age matter in getting a tourist visa because I'm 21years and my dad is my sponsor.

Hi abujaniv,
I'm an ND2 (final year) student in Auchi Polytecthnic, Edo state.
My dad wants to sponsor my trip to the US in next year February for tourist purposes and I'll be spending two weeks there. We do not have anyone in US so I will be booking a hotel. Now, I will be commencing my one year Industrial Training (IT) programme in Ondo state Ministry of Works come next year January. Please, what are my chances of getting the tourist visa even if I present a letter from the ministry?
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by charzyh2: 2:22pm On Aug 18, 2014
tzetzefly: Do you have a relative in the States?

If your answer is in the negative, then you do not qualify for a tourist category (due to your age bracket and educational qualification).

At this time, you only qualify for a visit visa only if you have a relative in the States.
Thank you very much for your quick response. As a matter of fact, I'm 21. Can this age still work against me?
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by charzyh2: 9:18am On Aug 18, 2014
tzetzefly: Having to play the diversity visa lottery in itself is not a redflag for an application for a U.S. non-immigrant visa application.

What constitute a redflag includes:

1. When you are selected for a diversity visa (but unsuccessful during interview) and your information then and now is not consistent with the data base of the U.S. Dept of State.

2. When your name and date of birth strikes a form of resemblance with another individual who is already on the redflag radar of the U.S. State Dept

3. Almost sharing an identity with an individual who failed the U.S. administrative process previously.

These situation above and more, may prompt the CO to ask further questions in order to ascertain if the previous applicant in the data base of the State Dept, is the same person as the one staring directly at him/her during interview.
