Hi everyone, I'm an ND2 (final year) student in Auchi Polytecthnic, Edo state. My dad wants to sponsor my trip to the US in next year February for tourist purposes and I'll be spending two weeks there. We do not have anyone in US so I will be booking a hotel. Now, I will be commencing my one year Industrial Training (IT) programme in Ondo state Ministry of Works come next year January. Please, what are my chances of getting the tourist visa even if I present a letter from the ministry? Thank you all. |

saheedlawal30: B1 and B2Please, can we know what are the questions you were asked and how did you answer them? Thanks. |
saheedlawal30: My guy, I won't lie for u those guru in the house they're like an "expo" of getting visa gba o. I read through all the post and I was issued 2yrs visa in the month of June still in naija though. So whatever they say.....na confirm. Stay blessed!congrats bro. The guys are incredible. They later advised me on how I will go about it and get the visa. What type of visa is yours? |
justwise: @charzyh2Thank you very much for your response. I'm just being scared of some so called 'visa agents' here and there. |
tzetzefly: Be ready to talk more about your role at the family business if you claim to be an active member there and how this does not affect your study time. You better be ready so you dont goof.I will have to register as a student. Thank you very much sir, you are so incredible. |
tzetzefly: At 21years, i believe you're still expected to be catered for by your parents if you're still at school.Okay, thank you sir. I can provide documents to prove the nature of our business. Please sir, what are my chances of being approved after interview? |
tzetzefly: Since your're a matured working adult, it is expected that you should be able to fend for your own expense.Thank you very much tzetzefly. I'm a student and businessman. I am still 21years. I just want to visit the US for vacation. Please, which of these will be more advisable to use during my DS-160 registration: Do I register as a student or a businessman that will sponsor himself? OR Do I register as a student whose sponsors are his parents? Thank you sir. |
House please I need your candid advice on this. I'll be applying as a student going for US tourist visa. But my parents and I do the same business and my parents and I have huge amounts in our different bank accounts. Please, which of these accounts will be more advisable to tender as my back up during interview? My parents' or mine? |
abujaniv: Hello, Nairaland! Our last thread was lost due to the Nairaland data loss, so we're re-starting the Non-Immigrant Visa discussion.after my ND in september I want to visit US for tourism in December. Please, can my one year IT letters and documents from school stand as a strong tie to Nigeria? Thank you sir. |
VisaOfficer: Good morning, everyone! It looks like our previous thread was a casualty of the recent data loss, so I'm starting a new thread here. Nairaland, I missed you and am glad you're back!after my ND in september I want to visit US for tourism in December. Please, can my one year IT letters and documents from school stand as a strong tie to Nigeria? Thank you sir. |
Vicjustice: I beg to differ in regard to "cheap" Poland, Poland is not that cheap, the only cheap things in it are House Rentage and a few other bills or taxes: but essential things like food and clothing are considerably more expensive (than in western Europe), or at least, quite expensive in proportion to the level of wages in the country.I want to visit Chicago on the 20th of December for tourism. So I am going to be booking for a hotel in Chicago. I will graduate with ND in September. So, I'll be having my one year IT starting in January. Please, can my IT stand as a strong tie in this situation? Thank you sir. |
Vicjustice: There are 101 issues that I don't think you can correct at this stage, but I will be considerate enough to mention one which is a knockout blow.Okay, thank you very much sir. I'm a student sir. What if I get a signed and stamped letter from school inorder to have a strong tie? My parents will sponsor the trip but I will reside with those white people in the US. And I'll make it a tourist visa. Please sir, what if I make it this way? |
Vicjustice: 1) If you are going for business, then it is a business visa and if for tourism, then it is tourist visa.@vic, please what are the main issues that need to be corrected. Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time. |
charzyh2: what do you think I can do OR what documents can I tender inorder to have a strong tie?@justwise, please me the main issue that needs to be corrected. Thank you so much for your time. |
Vicjustice: 1) If you are going for business, then it is a business visa and if for tourism, then it is tourist visa.please sir, what do you mean by 'Lift adult elephant'? |
justwise: I don't see you getting a visa but you can still try.what do you think I can do OR what documents can I tender inorder to have a strong tie? Thank you sir. |
justwise: I don't see you getting a visa but you can still try.haha... A word is enough for the wise. I can't try that. |
justwise: I seriously doubt that you will be given a visa under such circumstance. You will be seen as a potential immigrant with no strong tie to Nigeria.but I will show a letter from my school stating that I still have a year IT in 2014. I'll be getting a stamped and signed letter from my Head of Department stating that I have a year IT starting in January. I think this can be a strong tie. I'm new in the business. Well, I will start earning by next month. What is your advice on this sir? |
justwise: Who will sponsor you?My business partners (the couple) are willing to sponsor me. |
justwise: They can't sponsor you, the company you work for have to sponsor you if you are attending seminar relating to the job.@Justwise. Please, what if I'll be going on the basis of Tourism Visa can it be approved in this situation? |
justwise: They can't sponsor you, the company you work for have to sponsor you if you are attending seminar relating to the job.@justwise, Thank you very much |
justwise: What i want to establish is whether you work for this company in Nigeria and getting paid by them? Are you employed by this company in Nigeria and receiving salary?Yes! I am a full time student. I work for the company here but I'm yet to receive a pay from the company. |
justwise: Is this company in Nigeria or them registered you online? The company is in Nigeria although they registered me online and they gave me my business website. |
justwise: Are you working or own a business in Nigeria?I work with a Network Marketing company. The woman and her husband both registered me. I'm a student as well. |
justwise: Please post it here https://www.nairaland.com/608780/usa-visit-visa that is US visa thread@Justwise, thank you. I have posted it there. Please, I will like to get some advice from you on over there. Thank you very much once again. |
Hello Nairalanders, I am 21 years. I met an American woman on facebook. She and her husband introduced me to a network marketing business. I got interested in the business. So, they sponsored my registration financially. The husband has been chatting with me by email. Now, they want me to come over there (US) for seminars in either December or January. They are ready to stand as my sponsor and they are willing to provide any supporting documents for the invitation and sponsorship. My questions are: 1. Is this a business visa or tourist visa? 2. What documents are required of them being my sponsor in this kind of situation? 3. What documents required are required of me? 4. And what are my my chances of being approved of this type of visa in this situation? |
