MsNas:Naija xtians claim to be holier than thou. I'm a xtian (not the chair warmer type) but I doubt if you ate sallah meat as I did last night. Most probably, I'll be coming back to it after church service today. No shaking! Msnas, it's been some time. How's studies? |
lymelyte:don't get me wrong. I never said education is not important. The world is an investment paradise. Regardless of who you are, you can succeed in Nigeria. To make my point clear, Your destiny is not tied to school |
abeycityx:there's no probs sir. I guess it's general. You can contact them. |
chycco: 'look before u leap' and who told you that Dr, orji uzor kalu is uneducated?Uzor Kalu was uneducated until he became a multi billionaire. He pursued education when he wanted to join politics. So, you're the one to go for extensive research |
Unclerukus: All those who have failed jamb repeatedly or those who didn't have the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of the four walls of a university and campus always bank on this point to ease their frustrations. They won't want to say it but most of the degree critics would definitely FLY at the chance to have a university degree if time could be reversed. Ignorant bunch in here,Nigeria is very harsh to entrepreneurs with little or no capital venture, you think you are abroad, clap for yourselves, don't worry send your children to learn trades and give them 20 thousand naira to maintain the business, poverty will be your companion,go and check the background of all those Nigeria's great and powerful. Bunch of frustrated losers.can you see what we're saying? When you've never lost, how are you expected to maintain success? The people listed by the op are never afraid of failure. Michael Jordan said and I quote: "I failed several times, that is why I succeed". Are you ready to leave the 9-5 rat race? |
Amefrica: I taya oo bro! Thank you jaree. To be honest, if I were to list my TOP 10 on this thread, Slim del would be the #1, I loved her too much. There's nothing we basically didn't share/discuss together.bro, that's the spirit |
newbie2014: My Conclusion: Amefrica na th.ief and we all neeed to be careful. some pple are not who they say on this thread. some are fakes!please, shut it. Amefrica has been on US thread for more than a year and to be frank, he has been more than just amazing. @slimdel, i'm not saying you lied but you guys ought to have figured it out in the private. @Amefrica, please do not be harsh. Just flash back to when she squeezed out the money for you. *hugs* |
asalimpo: this is a sick philosophy .what's sick? That a drop out directs first class graduates? Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire at 23 while as a doctor earn roughly 400,000naira monthly with hard labour. As a civil servant, how much does the govt pay you? All what the op and I mean is that your destiny is not tied to school. |
rattlesnake: But somebody else who went to university on their behalf was behind their success......true intelligence is when you use other people's intelligent to achieve your goals. Bill Gates said his classmates in Havard are now engineers in Microsoft while he's the owner of microsoft. Give me a name of a doctor in Nigeria that became a billionaire through his profession and I will give you hundred names of entrepreneurs that are multi billionaires through their enterprise. If you know your onions, you will be successful instead of settling down with a job (Just Over Broke). |
abeycityx: Can someone please reply to this post plshello sir, your visa is ready. My friend had the same issue. Go and collect it with the white paper that was given to you. |
teddyrain: sure! Which FAM is that bro?I'm a close family friend to them. He won't regret his stay. |
meekpie: Visa approved this morning @ Lagos. Bless God.congrats bro I'm so glad for youu |
teddyrain: Who is in Chicago ? My friend is arriving December but his school is opening January so he needs a nigga to stay with before school openscan he stay with a family at a nearby town (45mins drive to Chicago)? |
MsNas: Don't mind them jare. Poverty is indeed a bastard. Suffering and smiling they say. Very soon they will start using reverse psychology on you, just like the kid that keeps quoting me up and down.don't mind him. If I have the chance to leave, I will. |
MsNas: Can you read? If yes... Go and re-read what I wrote and pint me in the direction where I laid the blame explicitly on the government. And TF you mean by "Your America? "that's your overall conclusion anyway. You really sounded like a potential immigrant like your colleagues in the diaspora. And if you did not blame the govt, who owes the blame? To make my point clearer, I'll say most Nigerian youths are blind to opportunities. They'll forever keep searching for job (Just Over Broke). Are you a true patriot? If yes, go and study your friends who are from China. We gotta learn from the Chinese. They have the nose for opportunities. They go back to their homeland to invest with the money they'd made. As for naija, upa! Who cares? The reverse is just the case for my compatriots o. But Nigerians why? |
MsNas: I haven't seen one job that somebody in Naija can wake up and decide "oh darn it. I'm gonna stop walking the streets of Lagos looking for a job. This is gonna be my day job" Twitter celeb you say? So I should go trolling all over twitter space searching for followers so that I can amass enough to make me worthy enough of being able to advertise for them on my page? I'm really dumbfounded. It will be too dumb of us to owe all our blame to the government. Nigeria is a consuming country and Nigeria is an investment paradise. If you know your onions, your enterprise is most likely to grow in Nigeria than your America. |
wisehouse: I don't know!i mean he will not sack you. |
wisehouse: have not gone to work yet (night duty)he can't sack you. Have my words |
decreamaster: Hello everyone, lol, your accent must have been really thick |
But he did not sack you. How did you go about that? |
femredhead: Thanx a million Charzyh2.you are always welcome |
femredhead: Thanx....what i mean is that,His uncle is in SA as well supportn him financially making his account fat which he can use it....his only ties is education..what is his chance or can he use his uncles acct?he is good to go and he can use his uncle's account but he should be ready to explain why his uncle has to sponsor him and what benefits his uncle will gain from being his sponsor. |
Fhemmmy: Ok.... Siri just replied your mail sir. |
femredhead: @Charzyh2 and other guru n d house......Can a Nigerian studies in SA sponsor himself for a conference related to his course of study? he receives money to his account fron Naija and with the support of his Uncle overthere which can cover all his expenses in US..He is 21yrs,can he b granted?Yes sir, he can be granted. But staying with an uncle is a red flag. Since you're going for conference, why not book a hotel? Moreover, what are your ties? |
Fhemmmy: Then you have no problem then oh . . . If you live in an hostel at school, it is not cheap at all, though comes with some advantages . . . But when you leave outside of the campus, say sharing like a 3 B/D Apartment and sharing kitchen and washrooms, you might be able to get something almost half what you paying within campus.lol... Boss, you've got a pm |
