So sad! I have spent some number of years in both Singapore and malaysia from my days of degree to postgraduate. I have never experienced any racial treatment thou there are many reported cases, but the truth must b told our conducts are Africans are not helping matters to! Senior military sources have confirmed that Nigerian soldiers have sacked Boko Haram insurgents from Alagarno, a town in Damboa local government area and one of the group’s strongholds. 
Sources who spoke to Sahara reporters also confirmed that the routed insurgents were fleeing, adding that he believed their leader, Abubakar Shekau, was among those now on the run.
The military source also added that the insurgents were driven out of the town in a military operation in which the Nigerian military used sustained air bombardment for several days. “After our troops had softened them [the insurgents] up through aerial bombing, our ground troops then moved in for a fierce gun battle and drove them away,” the source disclosed in an interview late last night.
The officer disclosed that hundreds of the Islamist fighters were killed in the operation. According to him, hundreds more of the insurgents were now on the run. The officer added that Mr. Shekau, the Islamist sect’s mercurial leader, was likely among those running away from the advancing troops.
“We are happy that we have reclaimed Alagarno, the second‎ most important stronghold of Boko Haram. Their leader (Shekau) was able to escape, but hundreds of militants were killed or captured by our troops,” the source said.
The source said that the general officer commanding the 7th Division of Nigeria Army, Major General Lamidi Adeosun, went yesterday to Alagarno to boost the morale of soldiers.
Alagarno, which is located in the southern part of Borno State, is near Sambisa forests where the Islamist group first took more than 200 schoolgirls they abducted from the town of Chibok in Borno State. The town is approximately 130 miles from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
The military source described Alagarno as “a village that Boko Haram made deadly,’ adding that the insurgents once had seven checkpoints and numerous bunkers in the town. “All their checkpoints and bunkers were destroyed. And we are now moving close to capture Sambisa [forest] very soon,” the officer said.

President-elect, retired General Muhammadu Buhari and President Goodluck Jonathan met behind closed doors on Friday at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting, which security officials said was strictly private, held at the New Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
This was the first time Buhari of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would meet after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certified the former as winner of Saturday’spresidential election.
It is believed that the meeting is supposed toaddress the hand-over transition ceremony of President Jonathan’s regime to the incoming Buhari regime.
President Jonathan had since congratulated Buhari on his victory.

All Progressives Congress,APC,in in Rivers state,has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, Chief Nyesome Wike, has concluded plans to pay N1 billion monthly from the budget of Rivers State to Dame Patience Jonathan, if he wins the 11 April election.
This allegation was contained in a statement by Dr David Ikanya,the APC Chairman, Rivers state. Ikanya also alleged that Wike has plans to pay ten other PDP chieftains upfront from Rivers State Government Budget.
According to Ikanya,”This planned and unacceptable rape of Rivers State coffers, which was revealed to us by a patriotic Rivers State citizen, has made us even more resolved to prevent the emergence of a PDP Government in our dear State.
He said that as a result of the revelation,the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has cut short its presidential victory celebration to step up its campaign to salvage the State from the misfortune that will befall her should PDP win the April 11 gubernatorial election.
He said that while the party remains grateful to God and the Nigerian electorate for the party’s victory in last weekend’s presidential and National Assembly elections, it cannot continue to celebrate and forget the great danger facing Rivers people should the evil that PDP entails for Rivers and her people come to pass.
Ikanya said APC has therefore decided to move full blast with its Rivers Rescue Mission campaign designed to ensure the election of APC governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, and 31 APC candidates for the State House of Assembly.
He said If this task is not accomplished, Rivers is doomed since the main agenda of PDP is to promote violence in the State and ensure that our oil wells remain ceded to Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Abia states.
He added: “Apart from this evil agenda against the future of the State, if we vote for Chief Wike and PDP our State will be doomed as his candidature does not augur well for us. Chief Wike once stated that why he is fighting Gov. Chibuike Amaechi is that Gov. Amaechi made Rivers State to be in the opposition against the government at the centre. Now that we have an APC Government at the centre, Chief Wike should ensure that we have an APC Government in Rivers State to avoid having a government that will be in opposition to the APC Government at the centre.”

Asari Dokubo, the former militant who promised to unleash violence on the country if the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan failed in election, has issued a new threat.

He promised to return “to the creeks” and blamed the Yoruba and Hausa for working against Igbo and Niger Deltans.

Dokubo said the election of General Muhammadu Buhari as president “is a clear indication that the country is not united” and blamed the Yoruba and Hausa for cooperating to frustrate Jonathan, who applauds from the Niger Delta region.

In a comment realesed by his spokesperson Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro, Dokubo saud: “Nigerian union clearly reinforces the fact of self determination and that Nigeria remains a very divided and separated entity whose claim to unity remains a fraud of gargantuan proportion.

“The celebrated victory of Buhari is not the victory of the people but victory of regional conspiracy and supremacy. The voting Partern has clearly shown that the Gambari North and the Yorubas are United in the conquest of the Niger Deltans and the Igbos of defunct Biafra with the middle belt now used as pawns.

“The victory of Muhammadu Buhari is a historical reminder that we are a conquered people who are mere appendages existing at the pleasure of the supremacist and the regional overlords.

“We remain a people separated by our ideologies and interests, we are not integrated nor reconciled.”

Former militant supposed that the elect administration could endeavor to sabotage the interest of the Niger Delta and called for a return to the creeks.

He added: “The conditions that advanced the need to embrace the creeks have been sadly re energised, it is clear that a vicious government who may maim and murder the voice of the so called minorities may have just been birthed. Indeed integration is nonexistent as regional gang ups and supremacy is symbolic with this victory.

“While President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan enjoys his moments and bask in the euphoria of a now world renowned statesman having congratulated Muhammadu Buhari his conqueror, we must quickly remind that our struggle was never about Jonathan nor about presidency.

“President Goodluck Jonathan was an establishment beneficiary of our struggle, our sweat and blood that many bled and died for,  he was never in the struggle and he can never wish away our collective march forward for statesmanship. Yes Indeed to an extent he was a  mitigating factor in self determination pursuit as we went on sabbatical, this mitigation he seem to have willingly repudiated.

“The days coming will be critical, we shall study all the conditions and consult widely before determining the way going forward for our collective existence and survival as a people. The days coming shall either drive the quest of integration or further separate us.”

It should be noted that the fake tweet circulated yesterday on the media. It stated that Asari Dokubo acclaimed President Jonathan and said he is a friend to any government, but later former militant denied the such news, saying that he would stay loyal to Jonathan.
