• if hellfire is real, as the OP opined, why did Adam and Eve, the first sinners, not go to hell?

• does not the doctrine of hellfire promote the afterlife, and the immortality of the soul, thereby calling God a liar when he stated that sinners would die, as he told Adam and Eve?
