HellVictorinho4: When I ask what happens when there's no government.., the answer is either a worse environment or we are not sure.
But I wonder why that cannot be changed if the political parties and the electoral body or commission cannot work together to produce qualified candidates whose qualifications are independent of tribe, religion, gender and financial monstrosity.
Yeah, financial monstrosity in the sense of using money to manipulate till you get the crown.
I think politics only helps to drive the economy never backwards when it's defined as the way in which a government emerges or the way in which a government is retained in the presence of a competition between components of a set of people who have an economy-never-driving-backward plan that can be sustained or retained by successive governments.
The factors to determine the winner:
1.The speed of putting such plan in place. 2.The number of people that understand the plan.
So, the person or group of persons competing with the fastest of practicable plans to put in place as well as having the highest number of people that understand gets to win.
It would be a matter of 'who can figure these things out the fastest?' It seems you didn't understand my post that you responded to |

Picture 1: Executive Director, International Press Center, Lanre Arogundade (left); Nigerian Rapper and Record Producer, Jude Lemfani Abaga (MI); Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Independent National Electoral Commission, Lagos State, Segun Agbaje; Programme Manager, Political Governance and Democracy Section, Delegation of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and ECOWAS, Laolu Olawumi, and Executive Director, Institute for Media and Society (IMS), Akin Akingbulu, at a briefing to announce the ‘Youth Vote Count’ Mega Concert in Lagos registering to get PVC is very good but it doesnt start and end there. the standard that the electorate sets for political aspirants and office holders is so low hence we have all these charlatants parading themselves and using money to buy their way into office. most people vote strictly along religious or ethnic lines and not based on competence. some vote based on financial inducement. others vote based on the fact that they just like the aspirant. many dont judge or scrutinise the credentials of these people. the politicians know this and thats why they are so bold because the electorate are grossly ignorant. so instead of all this, better voter education on the rights of the electorate as citizens of nigeria and how to demand, protect and fight for their rights will go a long way. if the people dont raise their expectations as to what they want from those in government in line with constitutional demands, then getting PVC wouldnt change a thing. |

SlavaUkraini: Pardon my spelling error...
I meant it can be sold to CATER for Ukrainian refugees...
As for the proceeds from the sale of Chelsea Fc, they are still debating on what to do with it.
Baba Abrahamovic had made it clear that he wanted to give the proceeds to charity. He made this known even before the club was Sold.
I am aware of an apartment building in the UK that belongs to a Russian Oligarch that was seized and is now used to house Ukrainian refugees.
It is a massive building that can house nothing less than 100 people.
It is surely a bad season to be a Russian Oligarch that is connected to the Kremlin. no problem about the spelling. abramovich didnt sell the club. the british govt did. so what abramovich feels the £4.2b should be used for, doesnt count. its what he said he wanted. the british gov isnt under any obligation to do what he said. and if you say that 3months after seizing the club, the british govt are still debating on what to do with the £4.2b proceeds, then what makes you think they will use for ukranian refugees? |

kingscare1: Let me start by apologising to him for undermining him, his influence and capacities. I tried to project other aspirants like Osibanjo and Amaechi, I believed that they are better aspirants due to the fact that they are younger, active and technocratic but it take more of those features to win a political election.
The new rule is to focus on winning first by any means possible than any other qualities, at last the winner is all that matters.
Bola Tinubu has proven truly that he is indeed the JAGABAN he is called.
I tried to analyse some of his silent traits that made him unstoppable before and during the just concluded presidential election that he won with a landslide despite being the most controversial, prideful, oldest, ganged-up and unwanted candidate due to his recent outbursts to both the President and his vice, still, won the election. Very heartbreaking from some of us and inspiring at the same time
As we all know that this man Ahmed Bola Tinubu is an extremely wealthy man in all ramifications of life's achievements such as business emperor, political stronghold, family, national leader, King maker, street commander, etc hate him or love him it is what it is.
Now, you can learn from some of his traits that I observed from him especially after winning the just concluded election.
1) Ruggedity: From the way he carries himself as the jagaban of africa, the calibars of people that clears his walking spaces and make up his entourage, how he gets cult-like followership in southwest, honored by day-to-day people on the street of Lagos including the touts of touts, also by respected people from all works of life and even the governor and governors trembles and rush to obey his commands.
Definitely, you cannot underestimate what this man is capable of doing to an individual or group of people. How did Tinubu become extremely wealthy from your story? |

God bless Akpabio. God bless Akwa-Ibom people.
Bro respectfully, Akpabio got more projects and success in Akwa-Ibom than Peter Obi in Anambra. I challenge you to dispute this.
If a thief can do that, then I rather he rule us and give us success than a nonentity Obi disguising as a saint. Would akpabio would have been able to do what you say he did if he was governor of anambra state? If you call akpabio a thief, then what are you talking about?
