To even think that health workers who have put their lives on the line battling this pandemic are yet to be paid hazard allowance since covid-19 came into Nigeria, is laughable to say the least.
Many have lost their lives in the field, what happened to their families and loved ones?
If it is this difficult to pay hazard allowance, then for the life insurance payment, it will be a lot easier for the Carmel to pass through the eye of the needle.

Amen!! But don't strongly reject what your doctor tells you that may help your baby. There is no harm in incubator care.
If the doctor suspects an impending infection the baby will then have to be delivered because it will be safer in the incubator than the infection-ridden uterus (womb).
I wish your baby, mother and father the best outcome. |

At 8th month of marriage, Gynecologists will not be too pushy investigating a couple for infertility because they have not even merited the definition unless the woman is advanced in age or there is an underlying medical condition that may affect conception ab initio.
You may have been going to the wrong hospitals. Now is the time to go see a gynecologist who will advise you/evaluate both of you appropriately |

So much emphasis has shifted to other more important parameters in seminal fluid analysis rather than just low sperm count.
A man may have 100 million sperm cells per ml of semen with more than 90% being non-motile, of what use is this if emphasis was only based on total count.
Another may have 12million cells per ml with 65% fast progressive, the chances of conception between the 2 scenerios are not the same. |
Health › Re: Please Help! Pregnancy Test Is Positive But Nothing Shows In Scan by ChelseaDr(m): 1:19pm On Jun 03, 2020 |
Its possible you're truly pregnant but too early to show on scan.
Its possible you may not be truly pregnant but having a false-positive pregnancy test result.
It is also possible the person(s) who did the scan may not have the expertise.
Finally, there is what we call pregnancy of unknown origin/location.
Therefore, you need more time like your doctor suggested, he should also evaluate you further as suggested by DaySpringer, should the results remain the same. |
Health › Re: The C-section And Signing The Paper by ChelseaDr(m): 4:27pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
Neloya hit the nail on the head.
Every person being planned for any surgical procedure should ideally give their informed consent.
There are situations however, whereby a person's autonomy can be over ridden; an unconscious person, for instance who needed an urgent surgery which if not done may die, a person in severe distress and unable to give informed consent, a child (a minor), in such situations another person may sign the consent on their behalf.
People have aversion to surgery, others due to cultural or religious inclination or superstitious beliefs. |

As at 31st May 2020, Nigeria has tested a total of 60,825 cases with total number of confirmed cases standing at 10,162.
This implies that 16.7% of tested cases came out positive with case fatality standing at 2.8%.
If this statistics is anything to go by, one can project that by the time 200 million Nigerians are tested, we should be expecting nothing less than 33.6 million positive cases unless something drastic is done to stop it. |
