limosodiq: Hello everyone, is police character certificate compulsory for SA study visa renewal, i was told I have to pay 45k now in Nigeria to get it. I need help.
it's very compulsory o. Go and do your thumbprints and send to someone to submit on your behalf in SA
Thermodynamics: it's a fact, eggs raises bad cholesterol and bad cholesterol clogges the arteries this limiting blood flow to the heart and thus limiting blood flow from the heart to important organs like the brain. Limited blood flow to the heart might make part of the heart to die(heart attack) or make part of the brain to die(stroke). ANYONE WHO IS DOUBTING ME CAN GOOGLE IT.
Go and watch Dr. Eric Berg on YouTube. Egg contains more HDL cholesterol and also lower the LDL cholesterol.
strongmoxie: Please, can I reapply using reprinted scanned copies of the previously submitted documents (like medical/radiology report, employer letter, police report etc) and explain things regarding the rejection in my reapplication? Originals have already been submitted in the last application. I have started the PhD already (remotely) since last year. I need to be there to continue and finish up.
victorfineboyy: Good evening everyone, Please I submitted my application for South Africa study visa in VFS Abuja March 9th
Since then till now nothing heard or no meaage from VFS if I track it this is what I see “ Your application is received and under assessment at "The South Africa High Commission,Abuja".
Please what should I do?
Unfortunately there is nothing to be done from your end.
Qqqp: Don’t waste you money on global talent it’s 50 50 and rejection rate has soared lately to 70percent
I have PhD with good research profile and publications to get the endorsement from my long time collaborator at Cambridge University. A friend and colleague recently moved to the University of Surrey on the same global talent visa. Although I prefer EB2-NIW (USA) instead of UK (Global talent visa).
Shareful: If you or your partner work in digital technology then you should check out UK Global Talent Tech Nation Visa. I made a video about it, I hope it helps How to relocate to the UK with Tech Nation Global Talent Visa - Eligibility, Cost, Timeline
Joyceyemi: You don't submit your passport when you apply for a visa in SA. You go back with your passport to the VFS office when a decision is available. I have applied for SA visa while in SA. We should be careful about the information we spread, it breeds so much fear and it's unfair on people who have legitimate things to do in SA!
Edited You are very correct regarding the international passport. My apologies. The information on visa not granted after months of submission is very valid. As someone who completed his PhD at RU and is now on his second postdoc fellowship, I am very familiar with SA. They make no attempt to conceal the reality that illegal immigrants are no longer required in their country. Legal immigrants are also affected. Most of my former colleagues are moving to UK and US on global talent program and EB2-Visas, respectively. Even Standard Bank wrote me few days ago requesting that I submit my new ID and valid visa in order to keep my account running. It's clear enough that foreigners must be on their toes at all time. Anyone in academic and conducting high-quality translational research won't have any problem moving on or staying back.
bigerboy200: Thank you. But na real wa oh. So what’s the problem? Even people that applied in Abuja are yet to get their visas.
Even people that applied from SA to switch from study permits to Research visas are yet to receive their passports and/or visas since December/January. It's no longer the problem of where you applied from but a systematic method to prevent foreigners into RSA. They should just release my passport to enable me process UK visa.
Hibiyemsy: I need my passport back for other useful purpose. They can keep their visa. I was considering going to the embassy to cause a scene but I don’t even know if they’ll let me in. Please house help me . 1st withdrawal form was filled and submitted 23rd of March . I submitted another one again last week telling them to return my passport abi what’s all this
Please anyone that has withdrawn the application should help me. I’ve sent an email to some emails I found on this thread informing them of the above but no response still. How can you have my passort since January. And no communication since
I'm planning to go the embassy in Lagos next week to see for myself. This is getting out of hand. This issue has gotten to a point where we need to go on Twitter and tag Dabiri and others.
adebowalew: All those that I heard that applied in January had gotten their visa, there is something behind yours
This is not true! I filed on the 12th of January and have yet to receive any updates after receiving the first SMS from VFS on the same day. If I didn't live far away from Lagos, I would have wanted to visit VI to see for myself. I have started my fellowship remotely, and my monthly stipends are going into my account since January. I simply require the visa in order to plan my schedules for quarterly trips to South Africa over the next two years.
KIDfurniture: I don’t have problem with the bribing visa agents that have a very strong connect inside the so called embassy… my problem is why pay that amount for South African visa…if it was Canada , America , Australia , Japan Europe .. my brother I will pay oh…
KazikageSama: It's just 1month Sir. SLA for study Visas is 2months.
I submitted for visitor's visa (Postdoc Fellowship) on 12th of January, 2022, and it's almost 3 months now. I don't know if I should go to the embassy in Lagos and discuss with them about this or I should still continue to wait for the visa/passport. My first visa for Claude Leon postdoc to the school came out under 10 days. The current development is very strange!
