E no go better for you and all yours. You talk like I know who you are. The fact that you are an Igbo man, a 2nd class citizen in Nigeria makes my disgust with you worst. Lemme tell you now, I don’t attach any real importance or respect to anything igbo so I shudder at your audacity to address me online. Now get lost forever!
You don't need to respect anything IGBO Bros, they don't need it from you.
I wish your first Class citizenship in Nigeria guarantees you
Long life, good health, good food/water, good roads, constant electricity/water supply, etc.?
I don't also support that guy calling you names

if your house is in bad shape, it your responsibility to put it in order.
Having been active in online since the year 2000, I have never come across any national who takes delight in disparaging his country the way most Nigerians do, not even Afghanistan or lybia citizens.
In we Nigerians have really done more harm to this country than the countries have harm us.
You hear of nigerians abroad engaging in all sorts of vices, including prostitution, drug, robbery, internet fraud in foreign country. Is it Nigeria that caused it? Recently, you hear people using bread to eat shit, all for the sake of wealth. Is it Nigeria that caused it?
I have video on the depression in UK in the seventies, if you what the British passed through, you will thank God that you are lucky to be a nigerian.
" if someone calls his or her mother a prostitute, everybody will chorus him or her a bastard.
Only Nigerians can redeem Nigeria.
The real problem in this country is not Nigeria but our immediate community that refuse to lend that little of support to enable start up your life.
Recently, there is the report that Samuel eto fills provided logistics for the Cameroonian s stranded in lybia to come back home, on reaching home, he gave each an everyone, nearly 300, $1000 dollars each. Who will do that in your community. The would rather pump that money on super eagle, simply because they defeated Argentina, where as the super eagles don't really need the money because they are already rich. Or the go and donate 100 million to a pastor while his younger dropped out of school because of school fees..
Lol!
I read your comments and emotions almost moved me to agree with you but my head and heart disagree to a large extent.
My proof:
I am from Anambra State and right from childhood most people there don't believe in govt so everything govt has been taking over by the people except for roads entirely.
Quote me, "ALMOST ALL COMMUNITIES IN ANAMBRA CONTRIBUTE MONIES THEMSELVES TO GRADE THEIR VILLAGE ROADS WITH DITCHES" especially during festive periods.
All FG roads in my state were bad till Obj did the Onitsha-Owerri and Enugu-Onitsha expressways in his first term.
See Bros, NIGERIANS are generally good people and not crime prone much, our problem is poverty.
We go abroad to commit crime?
So, during the scramble for Africa, oyinbo no commit atrocities; stealing, raping, slavery,, exploitation, etc.?
I hate "yahoo-yahoo" as I equate it with blood money but oyinbo no do us and still dey do us yahooze?
Stole our resources for years and still stealing it?
Did you mention Libya? Do you know Libya before Ghadaffi's death? Then you should know Libya is a pride.
You mention parental respect?
Egbon, you know not NIGERIANS, we see family as everything.
Hope you know that story about Eto na pure lie?
Guy, put your eyes down and you'd see how much NIGERIANS help people.
Mention a case of open cry for help Nigerians did not heed regardless of tribe/religion? If not for issues of trust, people give to help a lot back home.
Look at Ghana bros
People claim NIGERIANS don't pay tax, but tell me what NIGERIANS don't pay for?
You'll sort police, even sort immigration to get your passport, sort omonile, fuel police van before they respond to a crime scene report, etc. are these not more than tax?
Don't tell me say no be govt as if govts are not aware and I tell you many foreign companies in Nigeria did not survive it and they left. Where FG, state and LG go collect tax on same thing like road usage when na you dey patch the road quarterly.
When I was working in Nigeria, I had tax deductions of 35k monthly from my salary. Bros, what did govt do for me?
Bad roads at Agbara-ATAN road that gave me muscle spasms, increase in electricity tariff every 6months (I heard they've increased again), lack of water supply, abandoned me with bad policies at the mercy of my multinational company, etc.
OUR PRIMARY CHALLENGE IS NEPOTISM AND TRIBALISM AT THE POLITICAL SPHERE.
Do you know why Igbos don't like PMB?
They believe Hausas don't like them and PMB went up there and proved it, instead of being the father he should be and end this cycle of mistrust and hate like MANDELA did with the whites when apartheid ended.
See, no matter how you see it the Igbos have a point to grudge due to neglect by FG and this cycle will not end until a true leader emerges,, not just on the Igbos but other ethnicities with grudges.
Make no mistake about it, it's not a Nigeria against Igbos stuff but all tribes against each other (Is the KADUNA and Jos ethnic cleansing against the Igbos? Is the current Herdsmen carnage against Igbos?).
I tell you GEJ with all his inabilities did better than PMB in this area if not for his suspicion that BH was a fight against him (of which we can agree to an extent the Northern leaders did not help enough), he did well for the North.
TRULY, I DON'T HAVE PASSION FOR A FEDERAL POLITICAL POST IN NIGERIA COS IT IS FILLED WITH A LOT OF COMPLEXITIES.

They think we just talk out of hate when we say Nigerians don’t like igbo people. We shall see.
Thanks for collaborating the innate belief most Igbos have that the country Nigeria hates it and tries to stifle it.
Few of us Igbos don't even believe it even with your gross words.
However, even if your words are true, I hope you know Israel is hated by all its neighbors and almost got annihilated by Hitler?
I hope you understand Israel against all odds is surviving well.
Yes, the Igbos are not the richest IN NIGERIA neither are they close to the HAUSAS in wealth nor the Yorubas IN education, development and population.
But have you also noticed that they're are RELATIVELY better in all these indexes?
Their lands were war ravaged, human resources decimated and financial & economic growth stunted and every other region should have been at least 20yrs or more ahead of the IGBOS but sadly this isn't happening.
Whether they've got a shot at the leadership of this country or not, they're still doing good and being an IGBO myself, I DONT WANT ANY IGBO MAN BECOMING THE PRESIDENT YET UNTIL NIGERIA BECOMES A BETTER CIVIKISED COUNTRY. If not, if an IGBO man tries behaving like PMB is doing today (nepotism) another annihilation will ensue.
Imagine how much the Igbos are being blamed for GEJ's failures and how much GEJ is being presented as the most corrupt and wicked govt by lots of your kind. YES, GEJ GOOFED BIG TIME AND WAS NEVER THE LEADERS WE WANTED HIM TO BECOME, but did he loot more than Abacha, IBB, OBJ, etc.?

Thing is in most places, the most affluent people tend to be politicians, corporate executives, industrialists etc who tend to be refined. Anambrarians, while we have many in this professional class to rival almost anyone, also have a disproportionate number of affluent people who are traders. A great many of them lack a certain refinement and display their wealth and success in vulgar ways. These are the boastful class. Your average Imo, Enugu or Ebonyi indigene are not really like that. The state that is most similar in that character bu ndi Abia - also because of the huge class of traders.
Bros, I DO NOT AGREE THAT ANAMBRARIANS ARE BOASTFUL.
I have been quite around a lot of tribes very well apart from the HAUSAS and I tell you this is far from the truth.
Can we start by checking celebrities and wealthy politicians in Nigeria that flaunt their wealth?
Let me name a few living Anambrarians for you:
Peter Obi
Alex Ekwueme (A former VP but as quiet as cold)
Arthur Eze
Andy Uba
Flavour
Even Ojukwu whom had to boast he will defeat Nigeria did after the Aburi saga.
Guy, an average Anambrarian busy with his business has no time for the pride meetings.
Even here on Nairaland, you can notice the population that comment more, definitely not Anambrarians.
The challenge with Anambra used to be blood-money but now it is drugs.

True it is that Igbos buy lands in Lagos and build on remote and good areas but that's not only what develops a place.
Ojukwu visited during the dedication of ASPAMDA (TRADE FAIR) and warned them to do so in their status too,l but my fellow Igbos in that market saw him as a TRIBALISTIC human now they are crying they developed Lagos.

And because of iboness, that ibo man refused to punish the sadistic and bloodthirsty killers, he did not even slap them on the wrist even though the standard and global punishment for what they did was death.

The North was indeed patient because they gave the military led by Ironsi the ibo man the opportunity to do the needful by punishing the killers and seditionists, but the ibo head of state was playing tribalism and refused to punish his ibo kinsmen so the North designed their own form of punishment, hence the pogrom in the North.

ibo people by nature cannot differentiate between right and wrong because they see tribe and tribalism 1st before anything and sadly, same is still the case today and this very second.

They are hard learners and they don't learn from their hystory.
Another lie, the program was punishment for the coup and Ironsi not punishing NZEOGWU, right?
You also say Igbos can't! differentiate right and wrong yet you are here supporting the killing of over 500,000 defenseless and innocent civilians?
You See why people support a crazy N. KANU?
When your hatred beams like supersonic rays across the globe?
So, the killing of Ironsi and over 800 Igbo military officers was not enough punishment?
The progrom by the civilians of the North was a punishment for Ironsi not killing Nzeogwu and Co but jailing them (which you claim was not even a slap ion their wrists)?
All through your narrative, it is glaring you claim the coup was all about Ironsi's kinsmen and denying other tribes involved therein: bros people with this set of mentalities are why the Nigerian justice system and police intelligence is a sham!
This is why I hardly comment on. Nairaland: shallow thoughts not just from you but also from my kinsmen and other tribes too here who wouldn't even reason without bias but resort to name calling and blame games.

It is called "alibi" bro...! Why didn't they wait for the President (Zik) to be back or even wait till the Cyprus president left so as to also deal with Okpara? A coup that didn't kill the president - Zik, an Igbo - and had an Igbo man, Ironsi, as the immediate beneficiary speaks volumes!

The major attraction of any coup is the prime target(s) usually the head of the targeted govt & the immediate beneficiary(ies) usually the coup leader. Every other thing around the coup is cosmetic; Jara...!

In summary, who led the coup? Nzeogwu, an Igbo man! A leader must accept responsibilities. Who was the immediate beneficiary? Ironsi, an Igbo man!
You know the problem with this your narrative?
You say NZEOGWU is Igbo, I accept it but if IGBO tomorrow claims they're also a part of Niger-Delta, same people will call Igbos ATTACHEES.
Are you not aware that KADUNA NZEOGWU is from Niger-Delta?
If your argument will remain that NZEOGWU is IGBO, then let it remain when next you claim IGBOLAND is landlocked.
Very true as well, if I were to be Hausa, I could've felt betrayed and hitting back at Ironsi was 100% RIGHT in this case but how about innocent civilians?
You See, when people talk with rancour embedded in their minds, it's glaring.
YOU will claim Igbos in the North mocked the HAUSAS.;
So, after the 2015 elections Igbos were not mocked by the North and SW for not being poli5tically savvy and PMB himself (97% vs 5%)also and is still being taunted by the president through Femi Adesina (On Igbos loosing the Senate president while denying Onu the SGF position).
If it were Igbos behaving this way, hell would've been raised on how bad we are.
So, a govt will look on for several months while citizens of a tribe were being slaughtered for months and people still blame Ojukwu for that war?
The truth was there was a premeditated animosity before that coup AND BLINDED BY ETHNICISM, YOU REFUSE TO SEE THE YORUBAS INVOLVED IN THAT COUP ALSO.
HOWEVER, I BLAME TO A LARGE EXTENT ZIK ON THIS MATTER AS I ASSUME, THUS:
IF HE KNEW ABOUT THE COUP AND ABSCONDED, WHY STAND AGAINST OJUKWU (whom was never involved in the coup) DURING THAT WAR WHILE SUPPORTING ONE NIGERIA?
(And this is why he isn't extolled MUCH by Igbos: Igbos believe he's part of the reason for the events yet supported the stand of the North)
IF HE DIDN'T KNOW, THEN GOD BLESS HIS SOUL MORE.
I agree war is bad and should be the last resort but if such happens today, I will not hesitate a minute for self-defense: foolish is the man who watches his family being slaughtered but tries to save his own life. Though Ojukwu severally courted the FG then in a bid to avoid the war.
He also has his blame during the war of Sir Banjo and Sir Ifeajuna due to his innate mistrust.
Most of you here know almost nothing about the events of pre, during and immediate after of the 1966 coup apart from the extract you read from opinions of non-partakers of the events just to prove a point.
ARE YOU ALSO NOT AWARE OF THE NARRATIVE BY "SOME" NORTHERNERS THAT THE COUP WAS ON BEHALF OF SIR AWOLOWO?
I chose to leave that part of history cos it doesn't concern me much but it's pathetic that every single ill in this country is easily alluded to the IGBO MAN;
GEJ an Ijaw man did badly, the Igbos are blamed for voting a minority?
GEJ is the worst NIGERIAN leader they say?
You insult all what MKO and some of your elders fought against in IBB's and Abacha's times.
What is the difference between PMB and GEJ?
Where is Maina's case?
Where's the Ikoyi gate case?
What of Andrew Yakubu?
What of Baru? (I will be happy if the North prospers but spending about $2.6billion on oil exploration up North which was unsuccessful during the past military govts than embarking on meaningful projects like massive RE-AFFORESTATION, FADAMA FUNDING, RANCHING AND EDUCATION ON MECHANIZED AGRICULTURE in the North would have changed this country overnight: diversification).
All what GEJ is being accused of have been subtly superseded by PMB.
I voted PMB believing he'll do better giving up his life and fighting corruption head-on and even jailing GEJ if found guilty but alas Oga is like others before him.
Mention any corrupt case that has been correctly handled by this administration?
TRUTH: The support PMB has today, 2years after election is a cult following, not cos of what he has done but due to sentiments exactly like GEJ had from the Igbos whom he almost did no project in the SE for.

Imo is still leading the rest of Nigeria by a very wide margin in education and Imo isn't older than Anambra. The old Eastcentral State was concentrated on Anambra and so was the old Anambra State from which Enugu was created. Now Abagworo, if we keep giving reasons and supporting the excesses of these elites, Nigeria will never be better.
How can you openly say Imo isn't older than Anambra? Or that old ANSG was concentrated in now Anambra? Do you know Enugu city well?
Did you know where the commercial hub was before?
Most of not all cooperate HQs are all in Enugu.
So, you allude the high no of JAMB applicants to education success in Imo state?
Have you considered other variables like:
1) They had lower success in previous year's exam so more apply the current year
2) You check the rate (population vs applicants' value) and not an absolute value per state.
3) What is the success rate (successful applicants vs total no of applicants)?
Bros, you need to stop rationalizing wrong deeds.
Are you justifying statues worth hundreds of millions to the detriment of Imo indigenes?
These statues can only favor Mr. Rochas and hardly Imo indigenes.

she totally deserves it..
Enough of this unnecessary hatred on anything okorocha,
She is a worthy visitor to Igboland and a chieftaincy title is a way of appreciation.
I may not like okorocha fully but let's be criticising him with points abeg.
Why are awards given? Is it not for one's contribution to a particular community? You don't give awards In-view of what will be done but what was done.
Anybody supporting these acts by Okorocha should examine it well.
The monies (N520million per statue of so) used for these statues can raise over a 520 Imo youths to become millionaires and help Imo IN at least 20 different industrial areas by means of a project like YOUWIN or so.
Bringing these presidents will not bring a dime to Imo.
How many countries grew by drawing foreign presidents to their countries than BUILDING HUMAN CAPACITY INTERNALLY?
I'm from Anambra and Imo used to be better in education back then but I know even without statistics, you won't even agree to this today anymore. Anambra used to be a state of business men only but not anymore.
Can you compare the welfare of the Anambra state's civil servant to that of Imo state which is even an older state?

Why were the same media not very vocal in the past not even in the immediate past administration? Or are these media outfits new in Nigeria? There are still bad elements in government who want nothing but their interest. Don't you know information get out to these media from insiders (whistleblowers) who are encouraged by government efforts.

What has changed between now and then for the media to be this aggressive? Something has changed, my friend.

Let support the government instead of condenming all the time.
Bro, saying there was no exposure in the former govt is a blatant lie. See some below:
1) The cash flown in a jet linked to Pastor Oritsejafor
2) The flight itinerary of Diezani worth about N10billion or so
3) The aviation minister's bullet proof car which led GEJ to fire here
4) The interest of Barth Nnaji (Minister for power) in one of the bidding discos which led to his voluntary resignation.
5) The subsidy scandal monies.
Bros, our problem in this country use that we forget a lot, have you forgotten the incessant leaks by saharareporters.com? I was and I'm still one of GEJ's strongest critics as he goofed badly, so these stuffs are on my mind.
The truth is that it isn't this administration exposing these stuffs, so praise rightly the brave journalists and media houses than wrongly praising this administration.
Please, what has this govt done to show it HATES corruption, excluding the vengeful acts like Dasuki?
1) Where is Andrew Yakubu's loot and has he been probed or jailed?
2) We are still waiting on your Ikoyi-gate result. Why?
3) How long one did it take to sack Babachir and even appointed his cousin as compensation? Did he pay back his loot?
4) The allegation against Buratai, nko?
5) I didnt believe PMB doesn't have certificate until last year when over 10 SANS paid by him went to defend the absence of his certificate. Bros, do you need over 24hrs to prove you went to school?
6) Why has nothing changed?
I never knew PMB will not be the MESSIAH we seek.
I believed he was an old man and wouldn't play party politics, will damn bad politicians, fight for the masses against these horrible political elites, give up his life for the masses, sack non-performing ministers, cut down govt spending and above all be TRUTHFUL AND AS TRANSPARENT AS EVER.

bakynes:
Mr Iwuanyanwu let's not go down this road again, the coup clearly looks like an Igbo coup because the core masterminders were Igbos.

We would have believed you, if Zik was killed but he decided to have his vacation to the Caribbean around that period also with the fact one of the Masterminders of the coup was his cousin(Ifeajuna). Michael Okpara(the then Eastern Premier)was also not killed and no single gun shot in the East.

They lay Siege in the North and West and killed their Premiers but the original plan was to lay siege in all the three regions and kill their Premiers, why was no single Political or military leader from the East killed?
.
Bros Unegbe was killed in that coup.
I agree that it l9ooks much like an IGBO coup but a close analogy happened during GEJ's time, thus:
GEJ favored more Igbos with appointments and it looked like an IGBO govt planned to discriminate others, right?
But is it his true?
IN the next 30years GEJ's time would look like an Igbo instigated govt.
Now to the coup, an IGBO man ZIK was in power and the interim govt was an IGBO man and Ironsi military arm head, still IGBO.
The main man KADUNA NZEOGWU is from a part off Nigeer-Delta that claims they're not IGBO just like A lot of NDans.
To the question, why the mutiny IN Lagos, Ibadan and Kano? Why Was The revenge coup by. the Northerners not in the. SE too?
See, the SE was not the seat of power and had none of almost no influence on power. Just like in the case of war today between Nigeria and an instance Cameroon or so, the Cameroonian govt will be wise to attack these major places, same Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Ibadan. Ground these places and NIGERIA is weakened.
Definitely, I don't blame the Northerners for the revenge coup as more Igbos were on the list of coup plotters and Ironsi acted suspiciously.
IT WAS AN IGBO COUP EVEN AFTER THE PARTICIPANTS OF THAT COUP WHOM WERE YORUBAS WROTE A LOT ON WHY THE COUP WAS CARRIED OUT?
Anyway, just like the 2015 elections, the Igbos will always be blamed for everything and their brazen forwardness without caution will keep dragging them to issues like this, I HOPE THEY LEARN, THAT IS ONLY IF THEY WILL LISTEN AND LEARN TO PLAY IT LIKE THE YORUBAS

You blame GEJ for Maina who was a lower officer then but absolve Baba for Maina Now as a senior officer with DOUBLE promotion? Or are you not aware that he was indicted under same GEJ?
The truth here is Baba should not see this as wailing but look inwards, clean up his house and deliver something to NIGERIANS for posterity sake

You're helping my argument my brother,
See the word there on the picture, "northern regionS" and
not just NE.
I'm not hating here as anyone who doesn't support the rehabilitation of BH victims is a DEBASED human.
Check my history here on Nairaland and compare it with yours to see the difference. I hate NL for the hate here so I don't comment much as I see it as a waste of energy on people who hate each other equally both Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas
You are not making a rational stand for PMB and seeing every critique at PMB as hate; this is pure misunderstanding. Don't forget that this attitude was what birthed GEJ's fall.

Everyday his detractors are disgraced. grin

Must suck to be a hater.
In your support for PMB, try to be human enough and open-minded cos this way you behaved the generations before us trailed and we still have a Nigeria where am average citizen prefers to have a S/African passport.
I voted PMB to fight corruption but his nepotistic inclinations has gotten the best of him.
The WB deliberately asked him to focus on human capacity but he mentioned the NORTH to them.
In a bid to control image, the presidency claimed it is the NE matter and the WB released this news to prove it wasn't all about the NE.
Now go to the website (projects.worldbank.org) posted by Blu3k and get your facts right.
Please check each project recently according to Blu3k and see it was centred around the North, not just the NE.
Kano and KADUNA also received huge attention and I wonder how a lot of other states lower in class to these two states got almost no attention.
Not just this, also budgetary allocations has the North agreed that they need it due to their population too. But others need some respite too. The SE erosion, SS oil spillage, and SW flooding
I understand the North is less educated (with all due respect) and the NE issue so requires all the help they can get now but PMB's actions and words since the 97%/5% speech gives him away as a bigot and an amateur leader.
He had to drive it to the ears of WB and whoever cares openly

Debo,
Try to be rationale and not skew words to favour your thought directions.
First Azikiwe was never an aggressive man and Gary started any trouble, go and read about him well.
He didn't run to London either
Ojukwu on this list is truly the closest to your accusation but he was very brave but his extreme aggression, forwardness, and pride cost him 5hat war as a result of his wicked acts towards Victor Banjo and Ifeajuna.
Get your facts right as I see you as someone seeking for a tag for the "Igbos are cowards", Colonel Dimka was never IGBO.
Again, you prevaricate as Kanu never attacked the army physically nor was there ever violence in any of his outings. Though I CONDEMN HIS EVIL AND CRAZY USE OF WORDS, I still give it to him for never constituting physical! violence in anyway.
Can we also say that Baba Awo is in same clime for choosing to die than live for his family and tribe while fighting those who desired to destroy him?
NOTE: I RESPECT AWO FOR HIS BRAINS BUT THIS IS TO SHOW YOU THAT A GOOD MAN CAN BE TURNED BAD BY PEOPLE'S WRONG PERCEPTION AND WORDS

Let me just add to all these Benin and Yoruba men, just becos u married Igbo women that have been used and leftover by Igbo men, does not give u the right to personalize our affairs or interfere in our affairs.

U only married our left-over, we did not induct u into our collective.

Igbos generally dont interfere in the affairs of their inlaw.

It is not our custom and we will not tolerate forwardness from foreigners that think marrying an Igbo woman is an express ticket to becoming Igbo or involvement in our affairs.

Let Linus Idahosa concern himself with Edo State issues, after-all Nnamdi Kanu never included Edo in Biafra.

Guy, are you alright?
Your type is the reason I don't want Biafra.
You posted at good video to counter the man's claims, but your words seems to have missed their way from Yabaleft.
Just imagine how you derailed the argument on the video that would have been an advantage cos our in-laws was getting it so wrong and lost the argument.
This kind of attitude is why Kanu lost this fight and most of us Igbos Now support restructuring than secession.
I hardly comment on Nairaland but your below the base words made this inevitable.
You call her a leftover only because she married a human being made by GOD, just because he wasn't being entirely truthful??
