Good one there Stacydual. However, I stand with Mr Majekdom2 that US passed same history like us. The US congress had terrible fights within themselves n a good eg was during d debate on BLACK before Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. But I CONDEMN IN STRONG TERMS MAJEKDOM's strong word use. Its quite a pity that he said that to u n that's Y I believe we shouldn't talk about politics here cos our ppl breed hate with it.

May the joy that Christmas brings be yours. May the Good News that follow this season locate you. May the good Lord fill your mouth with a new song both now & always.
Above all, may the birth of CHRIST JESUS "birth the NLNG spirit in you" driving you towards NLNGlization.
Merry Christmas.
By January, Assessment Center study mode would've been activated.

Family › Re: Thread For North-easterners. by Cherez: 6:10am On Nov 11, 2014
Sorry for poking in but I just wish things gets better for our northeastern brothers. I am a south easterner n I am strongly troubled by d ordeals our brothers are going thru n I will keep praying for peace n Restoration on that region.
Wish I could do sth n I won't hesitate n I pray this thread does not turn into a political or tribal one but a platform with which solace n adequate help will reach our dearly beloved Nigerians up north.
Though d NEF & FG have their share of blames, I believe this insurgency will be tackled more in a community based approach n via military intelligence. Meanwhile, I think BH has "relatively" more intelligence than our military as I suspect sabotage in our army.
GOD, GIVE PEACE TO MY NORTHERN BROTHERS.
LOVE YOU ALL!
Christianity Etc › Re: If God Is Only Good, How Can You Explain These Five Verses? by Cherez: 8:31am On Nov 07, 2014
I am a born again Christian and I am not condemning u, Op but pls hear me out so we can reason together.
What is the definition of evil? from d lexicon:1, Moral badness, wickedness. 2, harm, injury.
Punishment? Lexicon: A suffering by pain imposed as a retribution(punishment inflicted in d spirit of "MORAL" outrage.
That our parents treats us right doesn't mean they can't flog to correct. Punishment is creating "evil" also but in this case directional and morally correct. If we go through all those verses, you'll find out that they were all talking about GOD causing evil on erring people as a punishment.
I personally do not understand or get that Isaiah is spiritually not sound. The old prophets were just not about the "GRACE" thing but all about punishment n GOD's wrath as the MEDIATOR & our great ADVOCATE hasn't been made manifest.
[YES, GOD CREATES EVIL TO PUNISH WRONGDOERS AND GOOD TO BLESS THE RIGHTEOUS].

You better maintain restraint before you begin to draw hate to our tribe.
That we speak English doesn't mean we are Britons. it could have been borrowed or something., at least they have not told us they are Igbos. Let them decide where they belong.

This is simply wickedness.
Why do we treat our fellow humans this way? I may not be able to infer if he truly loves you, but sincerely, I don't think so. Like someone said, if he truly loves you, not even his parents can stop him, not this way at least.
May GOD help me never to treat someone like this. My dear, no matter what is said here including my thoughts, try and discern exactly what's happening.

I have been a silent follower but not entirely silent as I drop in chips there n then. Just like someone already said, its definitely not FAIR.
However, my intentions are not dark cos its based on my being new in nairaland, in fact I didn't heed to dplacements advice as for d WAEC test cos I never took info on nairaland serious.
And also due to hard schedules, most guys here r usually ahead of me as per info cos d only shl material I used for preparation was from shl.com.
I'm saying all these cos it is wrong n wicked to "siphon" from others n not give'em in return n that isn't "teamworking".
Regardless of d rationale presented here by me, its still not OK.
Though I googled AC but I'm yet to get satisfactory materials as my busy schedule hasn't let me study, but already some guys here are smart to have some already. Same happened during shl cos d contributions I saw here gave me d shivers that I can't make it with these smart chaps around but here I am AC bound by GOD's special grace as I'm sure I know not much n deserves it not.
Thanx y'all.

airsaylongcon: Comrades (Pardon the pun),
It is good to see everyone trying to give this thread a kick in the butt and get it going once again. Now we must know what it feels like to be in the Big brother house when the show is approaching the finale with the camaraderie gone and everyone just hanging around. Now we must act as a unit and push over the line. Truth be told, I am over the specified age by a couple of years but I swear down I am ready to dig in and fight with all my might. I may have deprived someone who is within the age limit and equally qualified but remember when "If you are good, you are good"was trending? I am not good but STRONGLY believe in practise practise practise; for this is the only way a boxer keeps his reflexes razor sharp.

So I beseech you all to chip in a little bit on how we can all make our AC. I have got an ebook "How to Succeed at an Assessment Centre" published by Kogan Page. If you are interested quote me. I will respond to all requests by 1700hrs today 11/08/2014. Requests beyond this date wont be answered o! Also @majekdom2, @sqlmaster and other top dawgs....me I am not good o so assistance is necessary
Thanx::::: chellypaul@fastmail.fm

I believe Nairaland was created for a good course but some people turned it into a messy dungeon. With the kind of diatribe against each other here, how many responsible Nigerians would love to join or even contribute.
We just show the world from here that we are a bunch of ill-mannered losers.
Let's portray a scintillating atmosphere here then watch people flock in here.

Politics › Re-awakening Barbarism. by Cherez(op): 10:09pm On Jul 09, 2014
Dear Sir, I want to draw ur attention to the increase in manslaughter for rituals.
It is no news that our missing Chibok girls have not been found and the federal govt is spending so much resources to bring them home. Govt almost released hardcore terrorists last month may be due to pressure all for the sake of our girls.
Our soldiers are busy strategizing, keeping awake and even risk their lives on trying to access the sambisa forest but right in our backyard, some evil men are busy stealing innocent lives all in the name of culture and callous beliefs.
Even in this dispensation of hyper-development and civilisation, traditional rulers are still being buried with fresh severed human heads especially in the southern part of Nigeria. Right now, the Oba of Ikeja is dead and even publicly, 50human heads are being sought for burial rites. Even in Lagos, the most economic, civilized, educated, exposed and renowned state in Nigeria? Not forgetting the "ORO" festival that has drunk so much blood, this is a stigma. The worst part of it is that our local govt chairmen and even state governors turn a blind eye to these happenings.
This scenario is not relative to Lagos alone, but the whole of the south.
Please moderator, spread this news so the govt will hear this and take action.
Thanks.
NYSC › Re: Muslim Corps Members Harassed In Abia State Over Bokoharam Issues by Cherez: 11:43am On Jul 09, 2014
Its quite a pity n what is happening right now remains a regret.
Harassing an innocent Muslim is just very very wrong n requires no justification especially for d hallowed corpers serving d people of Abia state.
However, since u said they threatened to ransack n not attack, it may not be entirely wrong. No one will like to hear talk less of witness a bomb blast down here, that d reason for d extreme measure. The truth be told that d only lead way for BH into Abia will always be a "subset" of the Muslim community. its quite regrettable n I wish this didn't happen.
I'm a christian n I dread any pain brought on non Christians even on Muslims.
one love sir. let's hope it gets better.
