Markfemi:Correct guy, You replied that young man well. I do not know why we have so much rancour down south even when we hardly fight or spill each others' blood |
Sincerely, I had a similar dream yesternight. Mine wasn't fire but a tribal fight in a particular location in Nigeria. MAY GOD SAVE US |
slowpoison1:Are you OK? |
My people both Yorubas and Igbos, even HAUSAS and Fulanis, you all should calm down. Fulani, you need to stop the unnecessary killing. Then you saying Igbos are enjoying this got it all wrong, we don't or before you talk check this thread (https://www.nairaland.com/4052484/soldiers-order-ipob-members-swim) and see the spite Igbos received here on NL, over 10pages and I have only seen two comments here from Igbos that is callous. Don't take what happens on NL to heart as I have learnt and don't try to absolve your tribe, whichever cos both attack each other here on NL and lack sympathy for each other. |
sarrki:You are Prolly an IPOB you hate the APC and lie against PMB with these words above. you are not a patriot so your input isn't necessary. Oga Sarrki, no vex you be my boss and I'm just trying to imitate you. #winks |
GoroTango:If only you knew MANDELA bombed some British facilities in SA and was named a terrorist, then you'd understand better. I wish to have been named "TERRORIST", "PIG", "SWINE" or whatever with Madiba. You need to go read up how SAns fought for their freedom and you'd understand that KANU (though I agree he is uncouth) is a saint. With this Fulani herdsmen issue, I knew Nigeria as a country won't be better soon cos we as a people are filled with lies and deceit for we hardly call a spade what it is. So, the FG has suddenly lost its voice? Let's assume IPOB were the ones doing a tenth of these? I believed in Nigeria but with these issue, hardly anymore. But I still hope we get it right someday. LET THE KILLINGS BY THE HERDSMEN CONTINUE, POSTERITY IS WATCHING |
omonnakoda:I don't support Sarrki and his selfish ways but these words from you to someone's mother whom has done a lot to raise a child in this tough country is truly a shame to us as a country. What is the difference between you and Sarrki? You sound just like him. Oga grow up and understand you need to be responsible enough |
LagosCiti:So, an Igbo man can sell his brother or do anything for money but won't sell his land for money? Sometimes, I listen to arguments like these and I wonder how we humans reason. We tapper arguments to favor us. Maybe your mindset did not let you read my points which stated that SW is the most peaceful. As for tolerance, you need to put forward proven acts for it . Bros, families resell lands in the SW which I have also been a victim and didn't get back my money till date; this isn't tolerance cos people suffer to establish themselves too. Honestly, I did not spite the family in question nor did I turn it a tribal thing cos I believe if another tribe has the opportunity, they will do so. Oga, the ND of which I am sure you don't know has the capacity to shut down oil but for their magnanimity. They do shut it down but negotiations mellow their hearts. If it were Hausas, entirely Igbos, or Yorubas, Nigeria could have been in hell by now or no more. These three tribes are much less intolerant than most minorities. |
LagosCiti:The SW is the most peaceful relatively but not the most tolerant. I am Igbo but I am not being biased about this and I LOVE THE YORUBAS so dont see my post as if from hate. The NIGERDELTA is the most tolerant region in Nigeria. They have oil but do not own oil wells They have fed this country for over 40yrs and yet they have nothing in return and have been relegated most times. Yet, we only have "pockets" of militancy. Yea, pockets of militancy cos if you wanna know what it means to fight for oil go to the Arab worlds and you will know these militants here are peaceful. The SW has even gained more. At least the SWerners sell their lands to make money, tax residents, etc. How many does the ND get? Rather, we will call it federal commonwealth |
Okoyeebos:This is a link to the volume of purchases worth over N5billion from Innoson made by Mr. Peter Obi. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/10/going-politics-made-poorer-peter-obi/ Peter Obi bought at least one IVM 14-seater bus for all state govt owned secondary schools in Anambra. Many churches in the east buy and use IVM buses the only challenge he has now is that his price is still on the high side. Seriously, Okoyeebos you need to come off this shell. Innoson was grown mostly by Igbos which is normal. Kudos and many thanks to the great hearted Oba but cos of one purchase, you are making a hell of noise that Igbos dont support Igbos or you think IVM built its capacity from the air? |
Okoyeebos:Sometimes, I wonder how clownish some of us are. This Innoson is mostly patronized by Igbos before many people knew about him. Every king in Anambra state as at 2011 had the IVM jeep. He is mostly patronized by Igbos. Rather than hail the Oba for his magnanimity. I agree that some of my fellow Igbos can be terrible but this isnt restricted to Igbos alone. Did I even hear you say, "You accept the Igbos more than they accept themselves?" only because one out of many kings bought IVM? Mention any of your kinsmen manufacturing any product and I will show you Igbos who are not just patronizing him but may even be one of his major distributors. Igbos do not accept themselves but they bring a village boy to the city and in 5/6yrs makes him a millionaire? Guy, stop this your irrational thoughts |
Alariwo2:It's obvious you are not here to reason together but to waltz in your wrong beliefs. |
Dynast:Guy, must you show your insecurity? What is wrong with this "Abakiliki version" term? What of the Nigerian version of sth? |
Alariwo2:Did you just say Yoruba men don't have businesses in the east? Now listen, most Igbo men too don't. See, not every location in Nigeria is viable for business and Nigeria being predominantly oil-related in business has its businesses centered in defined locations. Again, certain factors drive business, viz: 1) Closeness to a seaport/Airport 2) Access Roads/railways 3) Population 4) Location of Strategic/diplomatic facilities. Now place all locations of high revenue base in Nigeria and see how they do well in all four. Due to the war which is yes the fault of the SE (I agree but I wont hesitate if someone kills my family today too) we are replete in all these. So, business in the SE is thriving due to the doggedness of the people as doing business there isnt easy. Imagine moving a business venture to the east with all the bad roads? Bros, nothing in the east stops anyone from doing business there once you have your capacity. Most markets owned by Igbos in Lagos have been demolished (NOTE that I am not against this cos it is good development if modern markets are built) but the igbos regroup, pay heavily and still build modern markets like the one in tradefair Ojo, Lagos. I heard someone say Igbos don't sell lands to foreigners and I laughed my heart out. Same Igbo ;man can do anything for money but won't sell you land for money? You mention Dangote trucks being burnt because he is not Igbo? Please bros, which part of SE have you been to before cos you really sound off the point (politely saying). Dangote drivers are known to be very reckless and even wicked like some other truck drivers and the SE isnt the only place where his vehicles have been burnt for such. In the SE, people hardly kill or burn for accident (go and check this fact) if you were calm.. I was at an accident venue by one of Dangote's truck, the driver was stopped and the guy brought out dagger threatening people whom were asking him to take his victims to the hospital. I learnt the truck was burnt later. |
OP, Mr. Alariwo please take my advice politely. You need to come out of your pre-mediated beliefs and travel round Nigeria and at least spend 5yrs in each region before you come out with this proof. In Lagos where an Igbo man won a Rep position, the area is predominantly Igbos. Point out any location not predominantly a tribe led by same tribe in any part of Nigeria. PLEASE MENTION THOSE PLACES HERE. Truly, I think any act an average Nigerian does if its Igbos it receives unnecessary attention (I stand to be corrected)). Where in Nigeria not in the SE is an Igbo man a councillor/ward, etc like you opined? Igbos travel, pay for everything they get elsewhere or were they given free? Most times, the lands they bought are resold and they persist. Thanks |
MAY GOD BLESS THE NA TILL YOU HAVE SOMEONE AMIDST THEM, YOU'D NEVER KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE AT THE WARFRONT |
Sparkies85:Bros, are you for real? What happened to constituency projects that. will grow his district? He is sharing rice and bike to "PARTY OFFICIALS" bro and not granting scholarships nor drawing projects ooo! Please, we need to stop people like this in Anambra |
GavelSlam:Ok. Gavvy, can we just talk about this with our nation's interest at heart? Please explain this SOCIAL MEDIA MINING AND LIBRARY AT A POWER OFFICE "relative" to our economy today? |
NwaChibuzor13:Guy, what on earth is your problem? What has got into people like you? Nwanne, ihe a I na-ekwu enwero isi oooo Who said they were accused wrongly? Nwanne, I am from Anambra and I can tell you that yes guys na-ebu ntu gwo gwo so forget that cliche "we are hustling legitimately and peacefully". Yes a lot more are doing their legit stuff but few na-atu ogwu nwanne I keep warning the ones I know and if they get caught people like you will start ranting thrash. Again, you rope in NGA govt. I know NGA govt is doing badly with PMB's 5% and all but who has that time for the useless treaty u are talking about? PMB? He has no time for this kind of pettiness, at least I know he is not that heartless and daft I had to resist the strong urge to call you "stupid and crazy" Guy, go have some rest abeg |
texazzpete:Chai! Guy, you wicked oooo. This reply is savage |
vertueptime:Guy, what was the cbn channel of complaint you used? These banks are something else, I monitor my account on a separate sheet than rely on those statements they present |
Osucoward:Exactly why no one should take this guy serious. He hardly understands issues and even when in his support he couldnt deduce it. And all Igbos here saying GTB should be boycotted, YOU ARE SO WRONG! YES, SO SO WRONG! Let this issue be resolved in court and if GTB is guilty, it can be boycotted and stop making it an Igbo thing but see it as a Nigerian interest |
Osucoward:I have read through this issue on NL and verifiable newspapers and I can only conclude one thing; THE FAILURE OF NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY IS NOT AN ACCIDENT BUT DELIBERATE AND CAN BE CLEARLY SEEN IN YOUR STATEMENTS SO FAR. "He WON'T be jittery in court" (future tense), yet you say, "HE IS fraudulent" (present tense). You are now a bencher, right? So an indigenous investor in one of the highest volume in imports section of economy has won all three cases against another indigenous company in an economic section with almost no import, only for minds like yours to walk up and down NL calling this man INNOSON fraudulent because he is Igbo (deduced from your posts) based on an ALLEGED forgery on a document of which the COURT STRUCK OUT? From his case with the customs, is it not clear that this man INNOSON is innocent? How do we as a country process this? An indigenous company being treated as thrash? And this is one of the reasons investors stay away from Nigeria; IT IS PROVEN THAT IT IS HARD TO DO BUSINESS IN NIGERIA ESPECIALLY DUE TO GOVT'S EXCESSES. GTB having not paid the guy, does it now sound as conspiracy? Even though it is still an assumption? Seriously, I wish no one should reply this guy "osucoward" again, he is not human but an e-robot. |
Neddyogu:But bros, EFCC detaining the guy is not proof that he committed the crime. HE HAAS WON HIS CASE IN THREE DIFFERENT COURTS AND THEY HAVE ONLY ACCUSED HIM IN COURT ONCE AND LOST. GTB is the ones defaulting in this case and EFCC can only be right if Innoson did not grant them audience |
Op, you should be ashamed of yourself. For real? Why not show people the good roads in Imo, award winning schools, SMEs producing product's, developed tourist centres, intra-city railways, etc. If our leaders in this country are truly working, you should have been gainfully employed, not BMC job |
PastorLucifer:Must you be the one to start this rubbish? Abi we no dey tire for this our country sef? |
Mygbadebo:My brother, that is the problem with this country. You will never see these youths pushing their governors to take the advantages provided by nature just like the Lagos overflow in Ogun state but they will come here to showcase private businesses and even praise below par governors. I wish GOD gives Ogun state the mind of FASHOLA of 2007-2015. Not just Ogun all states in this country. Look at Kogi state one of the poorest states so to say. A state that can feed Africa steel, calcite, CACO3, MGCO3, and a lot of other construction raw materials including tiles but they have civil servants dying of hunger and two/three grown-up men will be here fighting on NL, SHAME ON US ALL! Go and see what the Chinese guys are doing at Igbesa/Totowu, Ogun state. Even to construct roads themselves, same village leaders and govt will come to tax them for trying to take over govts reaponsibility. , show us efforts by Obiano to build good roads, fight for power generating licenses, and even for dredging of the Onitsha riverport and not private businesses groaning over bad roads and cost of production of which these companies may even pack-up soon if they continue running at huge costs. Has Obiano invested in good railway connecting major cities for low cost bulk movement of these products? I pity people that will charge their phones at barbing salons and still come here to defend lousy, non-creative, loud-mouthed, and visionless leaders who draw support from their likes. |
Jaideyone:One major problem we youths have in this country is that we are like our elderly politiicians who resort to name-calling rather than clearly stated proofs. What infrastructure does Agbara and Iju have? Roads or good schools or what? Agbara and Igbesa has a good concentration of industries and OTA a few. OTA has OBJ farm and the GREAT CANAANLAND, BELLS and some other church owned schools agreed. I know these places more than you do, bro. Imagine saying Igbos are the ones running "fayawo" business at Idiroko? Not the Yorybas and Eguns? Bros, you lack proper knowledge of "fayawo" business at Idiroko, Owode-apa and at the Badagary borders. I wont reply you again. @, TILL LOCALLY GROWN ANAMBRA RICE IS EATEN IN ATLEAST 70% OF FAMILIES ANND OCASSIONS IN ANAMBRA, THIS VIDEO IS JUST PROPAGANDA. We Nigerians are just too petty. YOU CLAIM TO PROODUCE RICE BUT YOU ALL RUN TO BUY COTONOU RICE! IF NIGERIA STARTS PRODUCING RICCE TODAY, IT WILL IMMEDIATELY REFLECT AT THE MARKET PLACES AND NOT JUST ON NEWSPAPER PAGES |
Jaideyone:Bros, why are you talking like this naaaa, the guy was right. Tribe shouldnt blind us to the truth especially that guy up there saying Abakiliki is second largest rice producer in Nigeria(lies from hell). Asaba is more urban than Agbara and Iju (did you mention Iju? Guy, stop this joke naaa, haba. You for mention OTA sef).. In fact, warri alone is more urban than the whole Ogun put together but you can say Ogun is more industrialized even twice more than Delta. |
nototribalist:Bros, but I thought your tag says, "NO-TO-TRIBALISTS"? Its a shame if you have let nairaland spoil you this much.. We youths in this country are the problem just like the old political hags. Most of all these news apart from private investments are hypes. Niigerian govts from fg to the states are all about propaganda. Hardly have I seen local rice around even in occasions no one cooks local rice and it is hardly available even at the malls too. Obiano will show you a rice mill that cannot feed only Onitsha and have the guts to say Anambra is producing rice and some people wey never see am buy go come nairaland and start arguing it is development. This country is a joke |
Okoyeeboz:My guy, I did not want to comment seeing a lot of online hypes. Note: Not just rice but all imported products in the SE are from the SW. The rice from SW to the SE are all foreign rice and hardly OFADA rice; the imports are from Lagos wharf, Badagary/Owode Apa and Ogun state (Idiroko, tube, owode and Ilara). Even in Ogun state, 95% of rice consumed or at the markets are border smuggled rice or "rebagged". We all here know this hype is just like the Obiano hype abd if you argue this and have not bought a bag or even half a bag of ofada since January, then you could be evasive. I am not from Ogun but the state has a huge potential as per over flow from Lagos but truly Amosun isnt taking full advantage of this. Only if Fashola were to be the Gov of Ogun state |
MrIrohKenedy:What do you gain from this rubbish you just said? Hiw can you call a mother of many Children and grandchildren a prostitute? @Seun, this isnt fair by any means if words like this are allowed on your forum. Inasmuch as I do not like PMB's style of leadership, why would I call him names and extend it to his wife? What has this woman done for Christ's sake? |
